Story

Poor Oakley has had a whole lot of bad luck in his life. He was found as a stray, but not before being hit by a car. He ended up with a fractured femur. He was picked up by Animal contro and sat in a Cell for a while before being put on the euthanasia list. We couldn’t stand to see this handsome, young guy lose his life without ever knowing how wonderful life and even humans could be, so we tagged him and brought him to Ohio to have surgery on his leg. Sadly, the first orthopedic surgeon we saw Said the break was so severe, added with the amount of time that had passed since the accident, we would need to amputate. We decided to week a second opinion and this time the doctor believed he could fix it. So we went forward with the surgery. He is 10 weeks post surgery and doing very well. He needs an adopter who will take their time with him for a short while as he continues his journey to complete healing. Oakley is working on his housetraining and does very well, but hasn’t totally mastered it yet.

Story

Blue is a fun loving and energetic dog! He will catch frisbee all day long. If you have a frisbee with you outside, you won’t need a leash. Frisbee is this dogs life. Loves being given a job to do. Would make a great farm dog. The only reason we have to re-home him is because we moved in with my parents and their dog just picks on him till he snaps at her. I have never had this issue with him and another dog. We raised him going to dog parks all the time. Overall he is a great companion and we are sad to see him go, but he deserves a better living situation.

Meet Tilly! She is the biggest sweetheart you’ll ever meet! My mother in law suddenly passed away and we are trying to find Tilly a great home to live out the rest of her years. She is 8 years old. She has been with her since she was a puppy. She got her from a breeder. She did go through some training as a puppy but might need some refreshers. She is 100% crate trained and house trained. I am unaware if she is up to date on shots. She needs somewhere where she can run or have a back yard to enjoy. She is great with people but she is territorial of her house and can be aggressive towards other dogs. I know in the past when she goes to the groomer she does okay there. So I am unaware if she does good with dogs outside of her home. I’m sure with some reassurance she could get along with others! She loves all the loving she can get but also likes to enjoying laying out in the sun in the backyard or chewing on a bone. If you have any questions reach out!

Meet Nash! Nash came from a farm where he and his siblings were not treated very nice. They came to us a month ago and have been learning to love and trust humans. Memphis is a 9 month old energetic, fun loving boy who is just waiting for his person to tell him what to do next! He is a little timid and it takes him a bit to warm up to you. He loves cuddles, belly rubs and snuggling with his person on the couch! He loves to follow his person around the house and wait for what he will be doing next! Nash loves to explore and play outside and loves playing with sticks! He also loves running around in the back yard with all of his puppy siblings! Nash is in a foster home with his brother, Memphis and several other pups and does amazing! Nash loves everyone including children and loves being with his people! He is potty trained and crate trained and is great with other dogs and cats. He is learning to walk nicely on a leash, loves walks and he will need regular exercise to ensure he doesn't get bored. He will need a fenced in yard so that he is able to explore. Meet Ridge! Ridge is a Mini Australian Shepard Pit mix who was surrendered by a family unable to care for an accidental litter. He came to us with two siblings, Raine and Canyon and they are just as sweet! He is 6 months old, and approximately 20lbs. Ridge is so unbelievably cute and his foster family describes him as sweet and playful! He loves playing with his toys and bones and also loves snuggling up next to his people! He loves playing in the back yard with his puppy brothers and getting lots of love and kisses!!! Ridge is a pretty active puppy, so he will need regular walks to help him be his best! A fenced yard would also be best for him so that he can have plenty of running and play time! Ridge loves all people including children and other dogs! He is in a foster home with other dogs and cats and he absolutely loves them! He has potty training almost mastered, with few accidents. He is still working on alerting his fosters when he needs to go potty. He does not mind being in his crate and goes in calmly and sleeps through the night! Paging Dr. Doofensmertz. This handsome guy has become something of a celebrity around town with fans often stopping and calling him by name. Being that he is such a friendly and personable fella, he is always more than happy to stop and greet his adoring fans. Doofensmertz is particularly eager to meet other dogs and small children and may act himself silly trying to get their attention. Despite his fascination with them, his larger than life personality and belief that they all want to immediately wrestle with all 45-50 pounds of him and that can be overwhelming for smaller or more timid dogs and children. Doofensmertz also desperately wants to play with every living creature including cats or other small animals, however, they really do not prefer his go-to game of chase. Therefore, a home with smaller animals and/or children may not be the best fit for him. Doofensmertz loves to go on walks and does fairly well on the leash. He can struggle to remember not to pull when he sees someone or something that he wants to meet. He does sit nicely when asked before crossing the street. He is also fully house trained. This incredibly social guy absolutely loves to be where the family is which is why his crate is not his favorite place. He does not protest when he has to go in (unless you count his sad puppy-dog eyes) and he does sleep in it throughout the night without a peep. In addition to his incredible good looks, Doofensmertz is very intelligent 3 year old and enjoys some mental stimulation to keep his busy brain engaged and out of trouble.
