Introducing our latest foster baby, KEVIN! Yes, I had Home Alone on while decorating my house for Christmas when I found out he was coming to us. I couldnt pass up the opportunity. Im no expert but Im guesstimating he is about 4 months old and an interesting mix breed that keeps me guessing. His face is Border Collie but his body and gait scream something like a Springer Spaniel or Pointer to me. So Im going with Border Collie/Spaniel mix for now.What I do know for a fact is that hes just the sweetest, smartest and SOFTEST baby ever!He appears to already be housebroken. He already comes to Kevin. Knows sit, stay and down. Sleeps in his crate at night like a champ and is amazing with our dogs and cats. Hes currently 27lb but I do plan on fattening him up a little bit. Apply to meet KEVIN at ricopetrecovery.org! Adoption fee is $350 and includes neuter, microchip and vaccines.

I’m a spirited little pup who loves exploring, climbing, and finding new ways to make my humans laugh. I’m brave, lively, and always on the move… some even call me a tiny mountain goat because I’ll climb right up your arm and perch on your shoulder if you let me! When I want cuddles, I don’t waste time — I’ll sprint right toward you and launch myself at your legs as if I can leap straight into your arms. I love being held (especially if you rub my belly!) but if I get bored, I’m ready to wiggle free and go explore again. My foster dad says you can see the gears turning in my head — I’m a smart cookie who loves to figure things out. I’m still a puppy, so I’m learning the ropes — I’m crate trained, working on potty training, and need to be crated when you’re not home so I don’t get into mischief. My favorite things? Peanut butter, my light blue teething bone, my stuffed Snoopy toy, and anything I can play tug-of-war with my sister! This is Hamburgler, “Hammy”! He is quite literally a perfect, young dog. And that’s coming from a foster who’s had hundreds of dogs come thru her home. Hammy is a young, male, border collie/ hound mix. He’s apx 50#, tall, lean and easily groomed. Hammy is so smart, but not in a way that he has to be constantly entertained or has destructive habits.  He will happily play in the yard by himself or with others as long as you let him! Hammy is a balanced dog. He has self-control, listens, and is eager to learn new tricks. Hammy loves other dogs and his people. He is potty trained, crate trained, won’t chew his bed, walks well on a leash, meets new people/dogs easily. He’s perfect! If you are looking for an easy dog, with no drama, no baggage. Look no further than Hamburgler  at Adopt A Pit Rescue!!!! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH.
