Story
We are located in Plain City, OH and have a healthy Aussie beagle mix named Milo who is around 5/6 years old. We rescued him from Franklin County Shelter. We have a one year old in the house and are expecting another in February 2027. Milo seems very unhappy with this new life change. We also aren’t able to exercise him like we used to. Due to his energy/herding nature and lack of exercise he is very cooped up and stressed. We also have a Great Dane in the home who our Aussie has not been getting along with recently. As Milo has gotten older he has made it clear that he is not fond of other dogs and thrives in a home when it is just him. We love our Aussie (Milo) but feel he would be much happier in a home with no kids or other animals that has a fenced in backyard where he can get his exercise out. I would love to continue to be apart of his life and help with any vet bills or anything at all that new owners may need help with in the future.

Story
We are heartbroken to be looking for a new home for Penny, our 5-year-old Australian Shepherd. Penny belongs to my 16-year-old daughter and has been a very loved member of our family.Penny is spayed, microchipped, and very sweet. She is a little shy around strangers, especially men, because she has grown up in an all-female household. She may need a little time to feel comfortable with someone new, but once she warms up, she is a loving and affectionate girl.Penny has also grown up with our Chihuahua, so she is very comfortable around other dogs and gets along well with them. Her favorite things are butt scratches, cuddling under the covers, and being close to her people.Unfortunately, our family is moving from a house into an apartment, and we cannot keep Penny in our new living situation. This is an incredibly difficult decision, especially for my daughter. We want to find Penny a home where she will be well cared for and loved.Call or text (614)842-3130 for more info

Story
Meet Sting 🖤Sting is a 4–5 year old Australian Shepherd mix weighing about 64 pounds who is quietly learning that life can be kind. He came to us from a hoarding situation, and while he has already made wonderful progress, the world is still a new and sometimes overwhelming place for him. Sting is a shy, timid boy with an incredibly sweet nature. Everyone who meets him says the same thing — this dog doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He simply needs a little time and patience to feel safe and understand what it means to be part of a family.Because of his background, Sting is still figuring out how to “be a dog.” One thing we've already learned about him, though — he absolutely loves the ladies! He takes comfort in gentle voices and calm companionship. We believe Sting would thrive in a home with a confident, friendly dog who can help show him the ropes and give him reassurance as he continues to blossom.Recently, one of our volunteers experienced a breakthrough with Sting. Instead of taking a treat and retreating to a safe spot as he often does, Sting chose to stay nearby. He ate his treat right in front of her, then gently licked her hand before walking away. It may seem like a small moment, but for Sting, it was a huge step—and a glimpse of the loving dog waiting beneath his cautious exterior. The best part about dogs like Sting is what happens once they learn to trust. When you earn his heart, you'll gain a deeply loyal companion who will quietly adore his person. The journey may take a little longer, but dogs like Sting have a way of making every milestone feel special.Sting is already crate trained and potty trained, and he's ready to continue his journey in a patient home that understands that the most special dogs sometimes just need a little extra time. A confident dog in the home is a must for Sting's success. He is currently available for foster or foster-to-adopt, giving someone the chance to help this sweet boy continue discovering how good life can be. Apply at www.caninecollective.org.

Bio for Secret Female  Approximate age ~ 6 months  Breed~ Aussie mix  Weight~ 23 lbs  Impairments ~ Deaf  Potty trained ~ Yes Good with dogs ~ Yes Good with cats~ She barks at them Good with kids ~ Yes  Commands known ~ or being worked on -Sit,Come,No,Outside, Crate,Eat,Bedtime  Need a fenced yard ~ Yes or leash walked Need another dog ~ No. But she would love to have a friend  Energy level ~ Med/high Location ~ Troy Ohio    Secret is 6 months old.  A very loving girl who will keep you smiling.  She is deaf, but don't tell her she's a bit different.  She doesn't care. She loves to play and cuddle the same as any other pup. She's very smart and learns quickly.  She was potty trained in a week.  She picked up hand signals in no time.  But like a typical kid, she ignore those hand signals if she's not ready to stop playing.  Secret loves playing with other dogs. Kids fascinate her. She barks at cats. She thinks all toys are great. But if there's a toy she likes better than others, she guards it and doesn't like to share. We just simply put the toy away and everything is fine. At feeding time she goes straight to her crate waiting patiently for her turn to be fed. When no one is home, she's put in her crate. She goes in easily and keeps it neat and clean.  At 23 lbs, she's probably about as big as she's going to get.  Upon adoption she'll be spay and completely vaccinated.  Are you looking for a great companion? You won't find a better one than Secret.  So hurry to @speakfortheunspoken and fill out an application because your best friend is waiting for you. ***PLEASE READ*** WE DO NOT RESPOND TO PETFINDER OR EMAIL INQUIRIES.
