Story
Meet Georgie — the charming little Aussie mix puppy with the softest black and white fur and the biggest, most hopeful heart. This handsome boy was born the first Thursday in December.12/4, and is already dreaming about the forever family who will help him grow into those adorably paws. Georgie’s mom is a 35-pound mixed breed girl who looks nothing like her eleven puppies — proving once again that rescue litters are full of delightful surprises. Georgie may still be small, but his personality is already shining bright. His foster mom says her daughters absolutely adore him — and it’s easy to see why. Georgie is a cuddler through and through. His soft coat practically invites you to scoop him up and hold him close for as long as he’ll allow (which is usually quite a while!). He’s also the first one up and ready each morning, happily heading outside for potty time or playtime adventures.Curious, bright, and attentive, Georgie already listens carefully when being taught. That willingness to learn is such a wonderful trait in a young puppy. He knows “sit,” “shake,” and even recognizes “Potty Time!” A small treat goes a long way with this smart little guy, making future training both fun and effective. Georgie is being fostered on a tiny hobby farm in Nashville, TN, where he has met cats, dogs, chickens, goats, and even horses — and he greets them all with calm curiosity. Laidback is a perfect word to describe him. His steady, easygoing temperament will make him an incredible family companion. Children over 7 years of age are recommended.   Critter Cavalry Rescue transports to the northeastern corridor every weekend, and Georgie will be ready to take his road trip on March 6th. There are 7 girls and 4 boys in this beautiful litter — all lovely inside and out.If you’re ready to raise one of the best puppies you could ever dream of, email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and reserve Georgie today.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 23, 2026, 12:30 pm

Story
If you ordered “extra fluff with a side of sass,” Princess Oreo would be your delivery. This black-and-white beauty was born around December 4th in a litter of eleven — and she has been stealing the spotlight ever since. While we never met mom or dad, we suspect strong Aussie roots because this girl is SMART, athletic, and full of personality. Oreo may look like a soft, innocent little cloud, but she’s got some playful spice mixed in. She loves her toys, enjoys a good puppy wrestling match with her siblings, and is currently mastering the fine art of tiny puppy “nibbles” on fingers. (All part of the growing-up process!) She’s sturdy, confident, and brave — not a timid little thing. Oreo walks into life ready to explore it. Her momma did a wonderful job raising this litter, and it shows in their balanced, loving temperaments. She would do wonderfully with children, active families, or couples who want a fun companion to grow with. A fenced yard would be ideal for zoomies and games of chase. Princess Oreo is crate trained and working on housebreaking — she’s young, but she’s bright and eager to learn. With guidance and love, she’s going to blossom into an amazing family dog. If you’re looking for a fluffy best friend who brings equal parts sweetness and spunk, Princess Oreo is ready to claim her throne in your home. Story
Lexie is one of those little girl puppies that makes you melt at first glance. She’s so soft and fluffy you can’t help but think, “Oh my goodness… she’s adorable.” But spend five minutes with her and you’ll quickly discover there is a BIG personality packed inside that plush little body. Her long, crazy-soft hair has just enough wild wave to it that it makes you think of 'Pink' the singer — bold, confident, a little sassy, and completely unforgettable. Lexie defines herself in so many ways. She knows what she wants out of life, and she goes after it with playful determination and a happy heart. She is loving, spirited, curious, and strong in the very best way.   Born December 4th to a very mixed-breed mama (who looks nothing like her eleven puppies!), Lexie and her littermates appear to have some Aussie influence. We expect her to grow into a beautiful 35–40 pound adult with plush, wavy hair — and in Lexie’s case, maybe just a touch delightfully untamed. It fits her perfectly.  Lexie is being raised in a remarkable foster home in Nashville, TN, where life is full of learning and love. She’s part of a small hobby farm with goats, a few horses, chickens, other dogs, and even a cat. The family homeschools their daughters, so Lexie spends her days surrounded by children, structure, and steady socialization. She’s learning basic commands, thriving on a reward system (she’s very motivated by treats after successful potty breaks!), and adjusting beautifully to a routine.   While she has a bold spark, she also has a wonderfully calm side. Lexie can happily curl up on the couch to watch a movie and soak up time with her people. Her appetite is big, her curiosity is strong, and her heart is even bigger. All eleven puppies in this litter — 7 girls and 4 boys — have proven to be easy to love, eager to learn, and ready to melt right into the fabric of a family’s life. There are no “lesser” choices here. They are truly ROCK STAR puppies.... all 11.  Local Tennessee adoptions can happen now. Transport to northeastern states is available on March 6th. Don’t miss your chance to make Lexie part of your story. Story
Hi, my name is Zara! I am a beautiful gray and white 3-year-old Australian Shepherd Poodle mix. While ladies typically don’t disclose their weight, I am about 50 lbs. If you are a smart and active person or couple looking to adopt a dog with a similar temperament, then we could be a great match! I love going for walks and would appreciate having someone who can incorporate that into my daily routine. Getting outside for exercise is something I enjoy, and I would also make an excellent running companion. Visiting the park or going on hikes would be a lot of fun, too! Not to brag, but I believe I'm quite a looker, and I’m confident that if you took me to the park, we would make lots of friends together. While I love people, I am not used to being around other dogs, so a dog park wouldn’t be suitable for me. However, I’m always up for hanging out where the people are! I’m also a bit too energetic for young children; I sometimes forget that I'm bigger than they are and might accidentally knock them over. It would be wonderful if someone in the household could work from home, as I am crate-trained but don't like spending long hours alone. I thrive on human interaction and am seeking a loving home.  I promise to return your love! If you would like to be considered for my forever family, please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com. Please note that an approved application and adoption fee are required. (I am currently in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.)    July 30, 2025, 9:47 pm

Story
If you’ve been waiting for that “heart dog” — the one who looks at you like you are their whole world — Sprite might just be your girl. From the very start, Sprite has been surrounded by love. Born into a litter of eleven puppies on December 4th and raised safely in a devoted foster home, she has known gentle hands, warm beds, and daily affection. That strong foundation shows in everything she does. She trusts. She bonds. She lives like an independent little girl that loves to be picked up and hugged for short times and then it's time to get down and go run to play. Sprite is the kind of puppy who melts when you pick her up and presses her soft little body into you as if he’s memorizing the feeling. Every day she is discovering that hugs are wonderful, that laps are safe places, and that people are meant to be adored. And adore them she does. Her deep, expressive eyes are impossible to ignore — full of curiosity, intelligence, and sweetness. Her white longish fur sprinkled with large black spots that create some fun visuals like a little sweet heart on the top of her head. Her black-and-white soft longish coat makes her look like she’s dressed for a special occasion every single day. As she grows, that coat will become a slightly longer, soft, flowing version that gives her a classic, almost storybook-Aussie look. At maturity, she’ll be about 35–40 pounds — a perfect medium-sized Aussie mix ready for hikes, road trips, backyard games, and evening snuggles. Sprite is playful and enthusiastic when it’s time for fun. She romps with siblings, plays hard, and truly gives it her all. Then, just as quickly, she’s ready to curl up and recharge with a cuddle session. It’s the best of both worlds — joyful energy and tender affection wrapped into one beautiful package.   What’s especially endearing about Sprite is her independence and curiosity. New experiences don’t stop her. Stairs once seemed confusing and intimidating, but with patience and encouragement, she conquered them — and now she proudly heads down them every day. That determination and willingness to learn will serve her beautifully as she grows into adulthood. She will be ready for adoption early in March and is looking for a family who understands that great dogs are shaped, not just found. With continued guidance, structure, and love, Sprite will blossom into an exceptional family companion. She is smart, responsive, and eager to connect with her people and a shy and gentle way. She has a shy side that is thoughtful — and that balance makes her such a special little soul. Sprite won’t just fill space in your home. She’ll fill your days with laughter, your evenings with warmth, and your heart with something steady and true. If you’re ready to welcome this incredible little girl into your life, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.  Tell us where you live; city and state.  She is fostered in Tennessee but we also adopt to the northeast on a certified transport van for rescued animals.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 26, 2026, 11:08 pm

Story
When you picture the perfect family companion, you imagine a puppy who has been loved from the very beginning — one who knows what gentle hands feel like and believes hugs are one of life’s greatest gifts. That puppy is Scoop.   Scoop is one of eleven lucky puppies who have been raised in the devoted care of a foster home since the day they were born. Because of that steady love, he is blossoming into the most wonderful little guy. He doesn’t just tolerate affection — he melts into it. Scoop is learning that the world is full of people who want to scoop him up (and yes, his name fits perfectly) and he absolutely loves every minute of it.   Those deeply soulful eyes will stop you in your tracks. They seem to study you, connect with you, and then quietly say, “Are you my person?” His soft black-and-white tuxedo coat is as touchable as it looks, and as he grows, it will develop into a semi-long, flowing coat that gives him a handsome, almost classic Lassie-style look. He is going to be a stunning 35–40 pound Aussie mix boy when fully grown — the perfect size for both adventure and couch cuddles.   But Scoop isn’t just a pretty face. He is brave. When he encounters something new that he doesn’t quite understand, he doesn’t panic — he works through it. Case in point: stairs. They were once a big, scary mystery. Now? He proudly marches down them every single day like a champ, and we couldn’t be prouder of his determination and growing confidence.   When it’s playtime, Scoop gives it everything he has. He romps, he wrestles, he zooms — and he plays until he drops. Then comes the best part: cuddle time. He is becoming more and more comfortable soaking up hugs, leaning into affection, and simply being someone’s baby. As he matures, that bond with his people will only grow stronger.   Scoop will be ready for his forever home in March, and he is looking for a family who is ready to invest in him — to teach him manners, guide him with patience, and help him grow into the incredible family dog he is destined to be. He is smart, not overly shy, eager to learn, and full of heart.   This boy won’t just join your family — he will be a gift to it.   If you’re ready to welcome Scoop into your life, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.
