Good with kids, Good with dogs,
Story
**** COMING SOON **** First of all, can we all agree this guy is a real looker? He's getting stopped in the street, and he seems happy for the compliments, giving kisses to his fan club. Smokey is being fostered in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and he should be ready for his forever home around August 1st . He is about 15 months and is currently 48 pound, housebroken, and is a fairly chill guy - we don't think he was taken on walks - he was surrendered by a backyard breeder whose kids were allergic - but wow, is he loving all the exploring now - super fluffy tail up high, sniffing all the sniffs. And he likes water!! But after the walks, he's totally happy to chill with his foster parents while they work from home. Doesn't seem to have any destructive behavior, and, as he warms up here, he does seem to like toys. He will need some training - so far as we can tell he's had none, but he's an amiable soul and seems like he will be happy to learn. He doesn't pull on a leash, but he does weave erratically back and forth in front of the person walking him, but it should be an easy job to train him to pick a side and hang out on it once he feels comfortable. Smokey is an insecure guy, and will take some patience to help him feel at-home. A house with another youngish dog would be nice - he is clearly paying attention to his foster sisters' every move. No signs of any aggression or resource guarding. A home without young kids would be preferred - he is very goofy and could easily knock down small children - but older kids should be fine. And apparently he did love the little kids in his original home - he lived with a 2-year old and 8-year old. He is a typical Aussie velcro dog, and if you are lonely now, well heck, you won't be once Smokey joins your household!! He sleeps on the floor by the end of the bed, under our desks, and under the dining room table while we eat. Great furry company, this guy!! Smokey will be neutered prior to being adopted out. If Smokey sounds perfect for your family, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There will be a $20 microchip fee which covers the registration and transfer of ownership upon adoption in addition to the adoption fee. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Not good with kids, Good with dogs,
Story
Miles is the sweetest, busiest 18-week old purebred mini-Aussie baby born on May 28th. Right now he weighs just under 16 pounds, so he'll be a nice medium sized dog. He has the absolute softest fur, and he's cute as a button, and he's really responsive and smart. He isn't neutered yet, but he is microchipped and up to date on his shots, on heartworm and flea and tick preventatives. Miles is a typical Aussie puppy, he will need a lot of exercise and stimulation. He knows some basic commands, although he does have a tendency to just fall over after being asked to 'sit.' He comes when he is called but sometimes gets distracted on the way and veers off to do something more interesting. So, a typical 4 month-old. Miles was surrendered by a family with three young children who found also managing a puppy to be too much. He didn't do well with all the chaos and will do best in a home without any young children, but a quiet home with teenagers should be fine. Miles is doing great with house training - no accidents since getting to his foster home - but he does piddle some when he's excited; we expect he will grow out of this. Miles would love another playful dog to hang out with to teach him the ropes, but he could also be okay on his own as long as he gets plenty to do. If Miles sounds perfect for your family please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $50 neuter deposit that will be refunded upon proof of neuter and a $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
Daisy is a playful fun dog to be around. She knows her basics, but could use some reminders as she is just a pup. She is friendly to everyone she meets. She is crate trained and housebroken. She still needs to be spayed but all the clinics are so backed up she hasn't gotten in yet, Travels great in the car, boat, anywhere. She has been on heartworm protection and flea and tick since she was a pup. she is healthy with no issues. Her adoption fee is low, or make a donation,. it will go up if i get her spayed before she's adopted. I'm just trying to cover costs. She is Microchipped and UTD on all vaccines.

Story
Meet Zeus. His came to us from a hoarding situation.  We were told he is a purebred Mini Australian Shepherd. He is about 5 years old and weighs about 28 lbs. Zeus is quite friendly compared to most of the dogs from this home. He was completely covered in fleas and had some hair loss because of it. He also tested positive for Lyme disease. Now that he no longer has fleas, he is a much happier guy. He gets along well with other dogs. Zeus is a little bit scared of new things and places but does walk well on a leash. He will do best in a home with a fenced in yard. He does really like attention once he is comfortable with you and should do ok by himself or with another friendly dog. Even though he was in a home he will need some work on housebreaking. He is going to need a home without cats..  Zeus is neutered, up to date with vaccines and microchipped.  His adoption fee is $150.00. If you are interested in adopting Zeus, please visit our website www.LHARinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application.  ##1731587##

Story
Meet Saasy. Sassy came to us from a local hoarding situation. We were told she is a Minature Australian Shepherd.  She is about 5 years old and weighs about 20 lbs. She was in a home with many other dogs but Sassy does like to be the boss. She did have access to a fenced yard but at this point she is not completely housebroken but will use pee pads.  We are working on getting her to walk on a leash, she is afraid of the leash so a home with a securely fenced in yard would be best. We do know she is going to need a home without cats as she chases the cats in her foster home. Sassy is going to need a dog savvy patient home so she can bond to her person. Because she gets scared easily we are not recommending a home with small children. Sassy is now spayed,  up to date with vaccines and microchipped.  She has tested negative for heartworm. Her adoption  fee is $150.00. If you are interested in adopting Sassy, please visit our website www.LHARinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application.  ##1731592##

Story
A handsome fellow Ryder is a 5-year-old Aussie Shepherd mix weighing 40 pounds.  He wears a long, exquisite coat of salt and pepper with a white-tipped tail.  Ryder is a love bug who enjoys playing with other dogs and is good with cats, too.  He’s great on a leash and is ready for his forever home! Every so often you’ll see him tapping one of his front paws as he waits for you to come for him. After all, he’s been waiting for a while.  How about it? (ME, 9/1/23)  **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $375 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.  October 4, 2023, 6:26 pm

Story
A 3-year-old mix of Australian Shepherd and Collie, Mable is a girl who would make a great family pet. She presently weighs 37 pounds but will fill out a wee bit more with time.  Her tricolor coat is long and will need periodic brushing to maintain its lush softness. Her eyes are loving and soulful, reflecting her yearning for a home.  A sweet girl, she is great with other dogs, walks well on a leash, and knows “sit,” “come”, and “let’s go.” She also loves car rides and, by the way, she’s house trained!  Having finished with treatment for heartworms, all she needs to love is YOU!  What a great girl!   A real family dog! Story
Meet our boy Best Friend Pete!   This handsome boy has a ready smile that says that he wants to be your friend.   Pete is an Aussie mix boy that is one year old and 55 pounds.   He came from a sad home situation where There are too many dogs, cats, farm animals and not enough food to go around to feed them all.  The first year of his life he was tied to a broken down pickup truck bumper and had to crawl under the truck for shelter in the hard clay dirt where with no grass grew. He was so shy and timid when we first brought him to the foster home and he just didn’t know about all these sights and sounds of the outside world that he was experiencing.   He has come to love the time and loving attention and inside comforts of a home. He is a blessed dog that was able to escape a very poor and sad living situation. He has learned about being crate trained, housebreaking, and would be best with a fenced yard.  He needs to be given the time and attention that he deserves and a strong dog leader.   He loves going for car rides.  He is an Aussie mix we think and he is very smart and sensitive to direction from people. We think this handsome boy would be a great running partner, hiking companion and beach comber.  A fenced yard is a must.  If you are interested please step up with an email to us:  Ccrnewengland@gmail.com He is in New England now and ready to move to a new home with a fenced yard.  Pete is a dog that will always appreciate each kind word and love that he gets from a family in the years to come. He will need a strong leader and someone who will show him they are in charge.  He loves running    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 4, 2023, 11:24 am
