Leo! Meet Leo! This gentleman was found stray by a rescue partner in the South and was missing a few “parts”. He has a docked tail, is now neutered (so missing…well, you know), and Leo has three legs! Yes, Leo is a tripod but is very well acclimated to life with only one rear leg (steps? No problem!). He is estimated to be approximately 5 years old and was listed as an Australian Shepard mix. He arrived a bit thin with some hair loss but his full coat is in now (and he loves baths, so that helped) and we see some possible setter type vibes but who knows?! Leo LOVES people (note capital letters). If you are interested in an aloof dog that likes his own space, this is not your guy. However, if having a close companion that would love to be beside you, often encouraging belly rubs performing a beetle dance, this could be a match. His hobbies include receiving pets, snacks, eating in general, enjoying some outside time, more pets and snacks. Although Leo has had successful meets with other dogs and is not reactive to them on walks, we have found he would thrive best as an only dog in a home and frankly, after what he has likely endured during stray life, we think he deserves all the attention in a home to himself. Leo is a dog desperately excited to have a best friend (think Velcro) and home of his own (he enjoys couches). He is housebroken, although will have some excitement pees if you don't get him out quickly enough upon your return, so we recommend all greetings be done outside, or once he has had a chance to take care of business. Leo is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is also heartworm tested negative and up to date on preventatives and wellness visits. Interested in adopting Leo? Beckett is a very handsome mini Australian Shepherd mix. He weighs about 35 lbs. This distinguished boy is a young 10-year-old. Beckett was saved from the streets of Nashville. He was abandoned and alone. Thanks to a caring lady who could not bear the thought of him spending any more time outside, Beckett is now in a loving foster home. He is under the care of Critter Cavalry. It did not take long for this awesome gentleman to make himself at home. After meeting the resident dogs, he explored outside. He came in and found a spot to relax. He is getting along great with his new foster sisters. He is also good with cats. This super smart boy quickly learned to use the doggie door. He can now come and go as he pleases. He does prefer to be inside and likes to know where his foster mom is. Beckett is enjoying all the love and attention he is getting. It takes him a few minutes, but he quickly warms up to new people. He just has to make sure that you are nice. Beckett is housebroken. He walks well on a leash. He also does not mind the crate and will go right in for a treat. He currently sleeps in his crate, but we think he would love to cuddle up right next to you. Meet Bailey Girl— All She Needs Is a Chance â¤ï¸ Bailey Girl is a beautiful 27-pound female 18 month old Mini Aussie mix with a story that will break your heart—but the little dog she is becoming will put it right back together. Bailey Girl was abandoned during extremely hot weather when someone placed her inside a school playground with no way to get out. Tragically, she wasn’t discovered until the following Monday when the school reopened. Someone had reportedly witnessed her being left there but did not notify anyone. We may never understand why she was abandoned that way, but we do know one thing: her story does not have to end where it began. Today, Bailey Girl is safe in a loving foster home, and she is doing beautifully. â¤ï¸ It took her only a couple of days to begin trusting her foster, and now she has become her little shadow. She does well with other dogs and cats, walks on a leash, and can even be left loose in the home with the other dogs while her foster is at work. Bailey Girl is still working on becoming completely house trained, but she is extremely intelligent and continues to learn. She enjoys having a yard where she can run and as her confidence and trust have grown, she happily comes back to her foster when called. Because Bailey Girl can be somewhat fearful of children, we believe she would be happiest in a home without children, where she can feel secure and develop a strong bond with her person or family. Bailey may need a little more patience in the beginning than some dogs. You have to earn her trust—but once you do, something very special happens. She begins to understand that she is safe. She follows you. She looks to you for reassurance. And before long, you realize you haven’t just gained a dog—you’ve gained a devoted little sidekick. A word of advice please. Bailey Girl needs someone who won’t expect everything from her on the first day. She needs love, patience, kindness, and time. Give her the opportunity to understand that you aren’t going anywhere, and she will give that love and devotion right back to you. â¤ï¸ Bailey may very well become the dog you talk about for the rest of your life. This Aussie/Cattle Mix girl is 2.5 years and weighs 30-35 pounds and she is the definition of a Velcro dog—she loves cuddling, being held, getting pets, and following her favorite humans from room to room. If you’re looking for a dog who truly wants to be your best friend, Ghost is your girl! She has the cutest goofy side, too. Ghost loves running around the yard, playing chase, getting the zoomies, and doing her little spins when she gets excited. She’s also VERY treat motivated and will happily work for snacks! Ghost is house trained and crate trained and would absolutely love a home with a secure fenced yard. She’s much more of a backyard-zoomies girl than a long-walk girl—the busy outside world can sometimes be a little overwhelming for her, and she’s happiest running and playing somewhere familiar and secure. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England area and delivered in Pennsylvania and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 150.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 150.00 comes off the total owed at pick up.
