Story
This is Cranberry a Mini-Aussie looking for a quiet home. He is a fearful boy who struggles with new people and new situations. He has made a friend or two here at the shelter and his personality has slowly crept to the surface. We think another small dog in his adult home will help him build confidence. He loves his daily walk and walking him will be a good way to bond with Cranberry. He needs quiet home with a secure fenced yard. With some time, patience and TLC we know that Cranberry will make a loving family dog!

Story
Meet Leo: Leo is a 17 week old (as of May 11, 2023) Australian Shepherd that weighs about 18 pounds. Leo was left outside with his litter mates to fend for themselves. Their mom’s owner wasn’t sure if his male dog or the neighbor’s dog was the father of the litter and since he wasn’t sure, he couldn’t paper them as full bred Australian shepherds, so he abandoned the litter. We are thankful that we found these babies and were able to get them to safety! The litter was unsocialized and had come down with mange, but after they spent time in a loving foster home, they have recovered and are the sweetest little pups! Leo and his litter mates (Piper, Phoebe, Cole and Wyatt) are looking for their forever homes! Leo is in a loving foster home in the Lancaster, PA area. This “charmed ones” litter is a group of lucky, playful, loving little babies! He is good with people and other dogs. As a puppy, Leo will need some patience while he works on his house training. We would love for Leo to have a home with a fenced in yard for him to run and play! Leo is up to date on his puppy shots and will be neutered when age appropriate. If you are interested in adopting this sweet guy, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. ##1711099##

Story
Carly is being fostered in PA. Carly is a joyful and happy pup! You would never know that she is 8 years old. She loves playing fetch and tug of war. She has the cutest wiggle butt when she is excited! She is loyal to her people and just wants to be near them. She walks great on a leash and loves walks in the neighborhood. She is also a great jogging partner! She was quick to learn how to go up and down stairs. She is an energetic girl who needs to be exercised and engaged with daily. She likes to sleep in her bed on the floor beside her human. She gets along well with other dogs but due to issues with food possession, she will need to be fed separately if around other dogs. Carly is a double merle. In addition to being blind, she is also losing her hearing, possibly due to age. Carly tested positive for Lyme's Disease and whipworms since coming to her foster house but has started treatment for both and is already doing better! Although she does not see clearly, she sees better in bright light and can see some shadows and motion. Carly is an indoor dog with the run of the house. She's housebroken and leash trained and would benefit from a fenced in yard. Carly is outgoing and good with people of all ages. She's also good with both male and female dogs and cats. She is the sweetest girl and would make a great addition to any family! BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Stevie Wonder is being fostered in NH. Stevie is definitely bigger than his brother and a little fluff ball! His personality is calm and gentle. He likes to be held, cuddled, pet and talked to. When he hears your voice he tilts his head side to side and his little tail wags! He is doing well with potty training. He knows to pee and poop outside but still has accidents in the house. He seems to prefer sleeping in his crate for comfort, but is also fine sleeping and being outside his crate. He enjoys all the snuggles of his foster family's toddler, and seems curious and loving towards his foster family's senior dog. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
MERCURY Breed: Australian Shepherd Gender: Male Approximate DOB: 3/11/2019 Size: Medium Weight (Potential): 40 (40) Color: White and blue merle Health: IBS, General anxiety and separation anxiety, crystals in bladder, on prescription food for GI issues and daily medications to manage anxiety. Shedding: Moderate Grooming Needs: Moderate Spayed/Neutered: Yes Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Unknown Good with Children: No Appropriate for city living: No A secure, physical fence is required. Adopters must live within 30 miles of King of Prussia, PA. Mercury is as sweet as he is handsome and at a young age he had to overcome quite a bit. He was born in a Pennsylvania puppy mill and rescued at 17 weeks of age. He was frightened and had no idea how to live in a home. Over time with a lot of veterinary care, we have found a diet that agrees with his GI system and have worked with our trainer and veterinary behaviorist to manage and treat his severe anxiety. He is a work in progress but has improved with the help of medication. H will likely need medication and prescription food for the rest of his life and will need someone to monitor the crystals in his bladder so he does not develop a blockage which can usually only be fixed with surgery if things get too severe. Mercury loves to play with toys and monitor the yard for "intruders" like birds and squirrels. He needs a very secure, solid 6-foot fence to contain him (he is a climber, jumper and digger) as he needs a yard to burn off his energy but gets a bit overwhelmed on leash walks (this is a work in progress, too). He will flash a huge smile when he greets you and will pretend that he is a tiny lap dog as soon as you sit down. He likes to watch TV but also is really good at catching a ball. Mercury needs a very loving and patient adopter who has an adult-only home and is willing to manage his medical and behavioral issues all while helping him build his confidence. He isn't a dog for the faint of heart, but he will make yours skip a beat as soon as he gives you a hug. *All dogs will go through a transition period after finding a new home and may need a “refresher course” in house-breaking. Story
Smokey is a 1 year old neutered, up to date on shots, male blue heeler, around 45lbs, he’s good with kids and other dogs, he’s not mean or aggressive with cats he just hasn’t been around many. He needs a home with someone that’s willing to take the time and train him, he’s currently living in a pen and has so much built up energy, so when anyone goes in to feed him he jumps on them. He just wants a family to call his own and throw his ball for him and let him be part of a family, in the house with them. He’s very sweet and loving and very very smart , which without a active family to help entertain him, can get him in trouble, he’s all puppy and playfulness. Story
My name is Tatum. I am a Red Heeler/ American Shepard/ Boxer mix. I am between 1 and 2 years old. I am very young and sweet. I am very loving but also skittish of strangers at first. I like other animals but they don't like me because I'm very hyper and I have a lot of energy. I think I'm a lap dog. I don't understand that I'm big. I need a big place to run and be walked regularly so I can run off my energy and be your buddy in the house. I am kennel trained mostly. And potty trained somewhat. But I will need you to keep working on that with me. I would say I'm probably better with older kids and adults just because I'm so hyper. As I get older and get room to run I will get better with that. I am very lovable and sweet. I am a people pleaser. I want to do whatever you want me too. I just need you to help me understand whatever it is you want me to do. If you are interested in adopting me contact contact bakerbridgerescue@aol.com. I look forward to seeing and meeting you, my adopter, soon.
