Piper has completed basic obedience training and we are now working on leash training. She knows all the essentials: sit, stay, lay down, leave it, and she has excellent recall. She's also fully potty trained and patiently sits while you place her food bowl down waits for a release command before eating—what a good girl! While Piper can be a little shy at first, she warms up quickly to new people in a home setting. Piper is a mix bread girl but with a personality of an Australian Shepherd or Cattle Dog smart, loyal, and full of heart. Piper would do best in a home without cats, she has done well with older kids. ZENNIA is a darling Aussie/Lab pup at 17 weeks, 22 lbs. She is one of 6 born to Daisy Momma. This family was found in the median of a busy highway in West TN. Luckily a nice passerby stopped and got them safe and then reached out for rescue help. Zennia is very loving and playful. She loves her siblings also posted: Petunia, Carnie, Marigold, Sunny, Cosmo. They love their beautiful momma, Daisy, who has been heartworm treated and will be posted as well very soon. The pups are working on their trainings but will still need some guidance. Marmaduke is a big goofy lovebug! He adores children and other dogs. He is very curious about cats and chickens and is probably best in a home without those (or where he can be separated from them). He is only about 1 year old and has been in rescue all his life. He had a medical issue as a puppy that required surgery and he is completely healed from that. He will do best in a home with a secure fenced yard, another dog or dogs to play with that are not tiny since he's so big, and respectful animal-loving children that will love him as much as he loves them. Meet Millie, ARPH #14446! Millie was very much loved but sadly came to us due to her owner's terminal illness. She is a seven year old spayed black tri(turning eight in January), up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. She loves all humans, greeting everyone with a wiggle, just looking for attention and petting. She is a velcro Aussie, wanting to be with her person(or at least in sight), and will be underfoot wherever that person might be. Millie is VERY food motivated as evidenced by her weigh in of 92 pounds at her vet visit! Less intake and more exercise will continue her weight loss program from a max of 106 at the end of April in her former home, although she'll be on the larger side even at a good weight. Inside that bulky body, though, is a dog that wants very much to be frisky and active. She LOVES going for walks and does nicely on leash. A fenced yard is preferred, but homes without them will be considered on an individual basis. She's not a fan of the crate and doesn't really need one, but she will go in for treats. Millie has excellent house manners and will let you know if she needs to go out. She has opinions and will sometimes vocalize them, especially if she wants treats. Given her size, it's not easy, but she will sit and down for the right treats. She does alert bark when someone comes or she hears a car go by; no one will sneak up on you with her around! Millie is fine with cats and lives with two in her foster home. She lived with other dogs in her previous home and with one now, but she can be bossy and prefers not to share toys, although she's not obsessed with them. She won't be placed with another female, but she could be okay with the right male. Millie's dream home would be with someone who is home most of the time, enjoys long walks, will give her a couch or chair where she can be comfy, and who will love her for the rest of her life.
