Leo! Meet the cutest tripod aussie mix at DTR! Leo was found as a stray so we have no idea what happened his leg but we can tell you he doesn't miss it. His cute little nub wags a mile a minute in any case. He is around 42 lbs and 5 years old. Leo is good with other dogs, has never met a person he didn't consider a friend. Seriously, he could probably win over the grumpiest of curmudgeonly uncles with his smile. Leo is unknown with cats, but we could cat test him for an approved adopter with feline friends. He loves the finer things in life, including car rides and Friday night hangouts. But please don't offer him any of your strawberries to share, apparently they offend him and it's a mistake I won't make again. He looked so disappointed in me. Life as a stray didn't seem to totally agree with Leo and he is a little on the lean side. He has also been treated for and recovered from a skin infection, but it will take a little time for his coat to fully grow back in and for him to complete his glow up. 💉 Adoption fee includes vaccinations to date, up-to-date preventatives, neuter, and microchip. 📋 Interested in adopting Leo? After a traumatic birth that resulted in losing a puppy, a ruptured uterus, and three days fighting in the ICU, Bean didn't just survive, she came back as strong and willing as ever to care for her puppies. She was a committed mother and now, it is her turn to be the baby.Because of her unknown past and recent traumatic experiences, Bean is still learning what it means to be a "normal" dog. She is a unique blend of Australian shepherd, husky, German short haired pointer, and pittie at about 60lbs. That being said, she is full of energy, very smart, and ready for adventures. Bean is very loving around those she is comfortable with. Bean walks well on a leash and loves other dogs (unsure on cats for now). She is crate trained and working hard on housebreaking. Bean needs a patient, loving home that understands her "trauma brain". She may be shy and inconsistent at first, but with a steady routine, she is going to be the most loyal companion you've ever known. Bean will need a home with a fenced in yard, another friendly and playful dog to show her the ropes, and no young children. Darby is an 8-month-old Aussie/Heeler mix! Born in rescue with her 7 siblings, Darby was a happy girl, living and playing with her littermates. However, transporting her to her adoptive home several hundred miles away was a traumatic experience for Darby, and she arrived terrified of everyone she met. Because she expresses her fear, we feel a home with no children is appropriate, at least until she gets past this period. We are hoping for a home in the PA/NJ area, as we work with a trainer in Doylestown, PA who will continue to assist her in adjusting her to her new home. (Working with your own trainer is also an option. We are confident that this is fixable with a little work.) We need a special, patient person for this girl while she works through her issues.
