He is neutered and up to date on shots, but isn’t on heartworm prevention. Mocha is good with kids and cats! No dogs, due to his reactivity! He is housebroken and crate-trained. The owner is surrendering him because he doesn’t get along with their male dog. If you think you can provide a great home for Mocha, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Mocha. LOWER FEE! Such wonderful puppies these Aussie mixes are! Darby is a 5-month-old Aussie mix who needs some help though. Born in rescue with her 7 siblings, Darby was a happy girl, living and playing with her littermates. Transporting her to her adoptive home several hundred miles away was a traumatic experience for Darby, and she arrived terrified of everyone she meets. Because she expresses her fear by lashing out, we feel a home with no children is appropriate, at least until she gets past this period. We are hoping for a home in the PA/NJ area, as we work with a trainer in Doylestown, PA who will continue to assist to acclimate her into her new home. (Working with your own trainer is also an option. we are confident that this is fixable with a little work) We need a special, patient person for this girl while she works through her issues. (update: 1/24/25 ME) Adoption Fee $150- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Beautiful Jake is a 3-year-old, 75-pound Australian Shepherd mix. He was found as a stray down South and brought to a kill shelter. One of our rescue partners saved Jake, and placed him in a foster home with other dogs for several months. Jake arrived at The Crossings Animal Society in late January 2026. Jake is smart, friendly, and loving. He forms close attachments to his people. He is also deaf. Since his deafness is congenital, it is all he has ever known. So he behaves quite normally—social, alert to the environment, quick to learn. The only fear he shows is some separation anxiety, which can be addressed, managed, and resolved. Since being with us in the Northeast, Jake has been thriving in doggy daycare. The staff reports he’s relaxed, well-behaved, and making lots of friends during group play. He loves fetch, happily rolls over for belly rubs, and has perfected the art of charming everyone he meets. He is one of those dogs whose sweetness hits you right away. Jake’s ideal family would have at least one other dog who can hear. They either have experience with deaf dogs, or would be willing to learn how to train and live with a deaf dog. (Training a deaf dog isn’t difficult, it’s just a bit different—we are willing to help out with training costs.) Most important, Jake’s family would love and cherish him for the wonderful dog he is.
