It hurts our hearts to rehome Merle. He is a wonderful dog, but needs time and attention we do not have. He is great with children! I have 3 of them, including a 2 year old, and he is very mild tempered with them. We rescued him but did not know about his fence aggression. This sweet pup needs land to run on and we are in the suburbs. We are hoping to find someone with a fair amount of land that he can run and be free on. He has been boarded twice and wasnt aggressive at all until there was a dog on the other side of a fence. Please consider our sweet Merle!

Hi there, I’m King! I’m an incredibly sweet guy and am excited about finding my forever home. While my past is unknown, my foster mom doesn't think it was a very happy one. I can be a little timid at first but I warm up quickly to my sweet, playful self! I’m potty-trained and crate-trained. I LOVE going outside on walks or runs and I am awesome on a leash - I rarely pull unless I am trying to say "hi" to another dog. My foster mom thinks I’ll do best with someone who has a yard or access to outdoor space where I can run around! I am still learning basic commands and would really appreciate a patient teacher! I do great with other dogs and I LOVE to snuggle! I can’t wait to meet you!!

Hazel came to OPA from a local shelter as a very skinny stray momma with two adorable pups, Snowball and Diva. She knows basic commands like sit and no. She is very quiet unless you see an animal on your walk or you’re not taking her out to go potty.  She does have two different color eyes.  My husband and I both thinks she’s a fantastic dog and loves to be pet. Meet Rumi, a young, gentle soul with a heart full of love. Despite her shyness, she`s friendly and adores cuddles. Rumi weighs 30 pounds and is playful, energetic, and curious about the world around her. She likes fetch, running, toys, walks, and water but not car rides. She knows the sit command but lived outside so is not experienced with house training yet. She`s leash trained and won`t run away while off leash. She cherishes the warmth of a lap to snuggle on. Rumi can be protective and is initially wary around men, yet her lovable nature shines as she gets to know you. She`s the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a sweet, excitable friend. She`s a social butterfly who may play a bit rough with other dogs but shows remarkable gentleness around children. She is not fond of being by herself.
