Clyde Needs a Foster or Adopter by Saturday 1/10/26 to Secure His Ride to Wisconsin
Clyde is currently at Arkansas Pet Savers and must have a foster or adopter to secure his spot on the transport truck to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. Without a home commitment, Clyde won’t be able to make the trip north.
Meet Clyde
Clyde’s story is one of heartbreak and hope. Found as a stray like so many others, this young boy ended up in a crowded Arkansas shelter where the environment has been overwhelming for him. At just about 2 years old, Clyde is struggling with shelter life—but his gentle soul shines through.
Clyde is dog friendly and people friendly, and while he hasn’t been tested with cats yet, he shows no signs of aggression. In the shelter, he was too scared to leave his kennel, choosing instead to lay down and tremble. But once given some gentle love and reassurance, Clyde melted—rolling onto his back for belly rubs and soaking up every bit of affection. Those sweet, puppy-dog eyes say it all.
Because he’s still in the shelter, his potty training, crate training, and leash manners are works in progress. What we do know is that Clyde is kind, sensitive, and ready to blossom once he’s out of the stressful shelter environment and into a home where he feels safe. We are sure that once he has some time to settle into a home, he will be a completely different dog than the scared boy in the shelter.
Age: Estimated 2 years
Gender: Male (neutered)
Weight: 50 lbs
Breed: Aussie mix
Spayed/Neutered: Yes
Potty Trained: Unsure
Crate Trained: Unsure
Leash Manners: Working on it
Good with Dogs: Yes
Good with Cats: Not tested
Good with Kids: Likely, but not tested
Clyde doesn’t belong in a shelter. He deserves a calm, patient home where he can decompress, build confidence, and finally feel secure. With love and consistency, this sweet boy has so much potential to become an incredible companion.
