Story
DENVER is currently in a high kill shelter in Georgia and is hoping to catch a ride on 2/8/25 with Mutt Life Dog Rescue to Cedarburg WI, but needs an ADOPTER or FOSTER to secure his spot! Please apply to foster or adopt on our website: www.muttlife.org ABOUT: He is estimated to be 1-1.5 years old. He was found as a stray in the woods in West Virginia and someone brought him all the way to an animal shelter in Northern Georgia. Denver is very friendly with people and other dogs. He has an even deposition, is mild mannered, good on the leash, was perfect with exam. He is house trained and just an overall good boy. He was definitely someone's dog and somehow got away or was abandon. He deserved a great forever home and will make someone an awesome companion! __________ All of our dogs are up to date on vaccinations, heart worm prevention, and are heart worm tested prior to adoption if age appropriate. __________ Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies _________ ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.) Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure its the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: if dogs are adopted prior to 6 months of age and are not neutered/spayed yet, we will work with you to coordinate an appointment with one of our veterinary clinic partners or you can go through your vet and we will give you a partial adoption fee reimbursement of $100. **Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**

But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on February 7th and arrive on February 8th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever and I am worried. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. January 19, 2025, 1:11 am

Story
Hi there, I'm Buttons, a sweet and affectionate 44 lb Australian Shepherd with a beautiful tri-color coat. I do great with all humans and would fit into just about any family. I'm 4.5 years old with a calm, friendly, and oh-so-snuggly personality. I do really well with other dogs but I haven't met any cats yet so I'm not sure. I'm a laid-back furball who loves a good cuddle just as much as a little bit of work. Whether it's a short run around the block or a leisurely walk, I'm your buddy. But don't worry – I’m also totally cool with just relaxing by your side. My special skills include keeping you company and providing endless love. I can't wait to find a family who will cherish me just as much as I cherish them. I am spayed and up to date on all my vaccines. If you think we could be a perfect match, apply to meet me at Rey of Hope Rescue. Rey of Hope Rescue is a locally based dog & cat rescue in Milwaukee serving all of SE Wisconsin. We are passionate about helping you find the best pet match for your home. WI License # DS-536355
