For years, they knew love and stability until their adopter moved across the country and left them behind in poor care. By the time they were rescued, they were heartbreakingly underweight and neglected.   With good nutrition, medical care, and kindness, Pheobie and Maxus have made a beautiful recovery. They’re now healthy, happy, and medically cleared, ready to enjoy their golden years in comfort and love.   Both are just under 40 pounds  - the perfect medium size for cuddles and companionship. They have gentle, affectionate personalities and a deep bond with one another. After all they’ve been through, they truly deserve to spend the rest of their lives together in peace and safety.   Pheobie and Maxus would do best as the only dogs in the home, where they can soak up all the love and attention they’ve missed. Hi, I’m Rosco! I’m a 4-year-old Basset Hound mix with a heart of gold and ears to match! I’ve got a fun, energetic side, but don’t worry—I settle down nicely and absolutely live for cuddles and kisses. I walk like a champ on a leash and I get along great with other dogs that are medium to low energy. Whether we’re out exploring or just relaxing on the couch, I’m happiest when I’m with my people. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate pup with a little pep in his step, I might just be your perfect match!Currently, I am available for adoption.
