Story
Beaux came to our family from Columbus, Georgia, and has been a part of our family ever since. He is a sweet, energetic, and social beagle who loves attention and being around people. Beaux has a lot of personality and would do best in a home where he can get plenty of interaction, exercise, and time to explore. We are looking for a loving home with someone who has the time and space to give him the attention and activity he deserves. Our goal is to find Beaux a safe, caring, permanent home where he can be an active part of the family.

Story
BEST WAY TO INQUIRE ABOUT THIS PUP EMAIL CONTACT@BAMMRESCUEPDX.ORG MARIGOLD came into the shelter as a stray on 7/10/26 WITH OTHER dogs - several of whom were puppies of varying ages - after being found eating trash near a dumpster at the Home Depot parking lot. The person who found them took them home for a day before bringing them to the shelter. MARIGOLD was terrified by the shelter intake process and was placed in isolation kennels due to alligator rolling and needing to DECOMPRESS. She is staying as far away from staff as she can and is ACTIVELY TREMBLING. The staff want her out so she can recover. She is, no doubt, under extreme mental distress at the shelter. PLEASE HELP HER The finder was able to pick her up and put her in the car. She is NOT rescue only so she can be responsibly ADOPTED or she can be FOSTERED for a rescue if you can offer her stability and commitment until she gets her Furever home. MARIGOLD is listed as a female, tan Beagle and Pittie mix of about years old weighing 38lbs.   ##2807366##

Story
All our dogs are spayed/neutered and fully vetted. Senior dogs receive extra bloodwork and we try to do dental cleanings on any dogs that need them. Most of the dogs in our care are crate-trained and cat tested. We test with kids when we can. Our process can seem involved and long - we appreciate your patience. Adopting a dog is not like buying a candy bar in the checkout lane; it should never be a last-minute decision or one that is not fully thought out. ADOPT MEJuniper is a lovable 2 year old beagle-dachshund mix with a sweet disposition and lots of brown and black freckles all over. Though shy when she initially meets someone new, she quickly warms up and is  eager to roll over for belly rubs every chance she gets. On walks, she will keep close to you and follow your lead. At home, she’s happy to curl up in her bed or keep you company. She doesn’t beg, takes treats gently, and enjoys following the lead of her older foster sister. You couldn’t ask for a more perfect pup.”   Juniper needs to be in a quieter home, without young children.  She does have a bit of separation anxiety and does not care to be restricted access.  Crate training is in the works, but would need to be continued upon adoption.  Like what you see? Fill out our online application! We work on a first received, first approved, first adopted basis. We definitely encourage people who are interested in adopting, even if they haven't found the right dog yet, to fill out an application. Our process can take as long as two weeks (we work day jobs!) so having an already approved application speeds things up considerably when you see a dog that catches your eye. Adopting a dog is not like buying a candy bar in the checkout lane; it should never be a last-minute decision or one that is not fully thought out. ADOPT MEMeet Freddie Mercury! Freddie is a goofy, lovable 6-year-old very Beagle boy with all the classic Beagle charm. He adores going for walks and exploring the world with his nose—he’ll happily let you (and the whole neighborhood!) know when he catches an exciting scent. He does pull on leash, but he’s working on his manners and making progress with training. Freddie would thrive in a home with a secure, fenced-in yard where he can sniff, wander, and enjoy the outdoors—one of his favorite things to do when the weather is nice. He’s happiest in a quieter home with moderate activity, where he can relax with his people between adventures. Freddie was returned to us due to some behavior concerns and is not suitable for a home with young children. He’s currently working with a trainer, and he’ll need an adopter who is committed to continuing his training and providing the structure, patience, and consistency he needs. If you’re ready to help Freddie become the best beagle buddy he can be, this sweet, silly boy is ready to meet you!Like what you see? Fill out our online application!
