Most of the dogs in our care are crate-trained and cat tested. We test with kids when we can. Our process can seem involved and long - we appreciate your patience. Adopting a dog is not like buying a candy bar in the checkout lane; it should never be a last-minute decision or one that is not fully thought out. ADOPT MEJuniper is a lovable 2 year old beagle-dachshund mix with a sweet disposition and lots of brown and black freckles all over. Though shy when she initially meets someone new, she quickly warms up and is  eager to roll over for belly rubs every chance she gets. On walks, she will keep close to you and follow your lead. At home, she’s happy to curl up in her bed or keep you company. She doesn’t beg, takes treats gently, and enjoys following the lead of her older foster sister. You couldn’t ask for a more perfect pup.”   Juniper needs to be in a quieter home, without young children.  She does have a bit of separation anxiety and does not care to be restricted access.  Crate training is in the works, but would need to be continued upon adoption.  Like what you see? ADOPT MELucy Loo came to us with a big tumor on her nose. It has since been removed and she is enjoying life.  Lucy does have severe seperation anxiety and will need someone patient enough to help her work through that.  For now a shared wall home would not be a good fit   More to come      Like what you see? River is a sweet boy, we don't know too much about his personality as he came to us with an almost fatal case of pneumonia and he is still pretty lethargic as he recovers. He is approximately 8 years old and would be a wonderful addition to his forever home. After spending years chained outside, Gunther is happy to cuddle up inside with his humans. He does great on short walks, but doesn’t choose to hang out in the yard with his four furry siblings. Gunther would be fine as a solo dog! Because he worries about being sent back to a kennel or back on a chain in the yard, he stays close to his humans, always keeping them within his view. He sleeps through the night and is doing great with his potty training. Gunther is a very affectionate dog and loves his belly rubs. He would be a wonderful addition to a family that is looking for a cuddly companion. He has not found his bark as he quietly watches his furry siblings alert the household when the mailman drives by.
