Story
My father passed away a few months ago and I’m looking to find an amazing home for his dog. His name is Raleigh, he will be 5 in June! He is a beagle/hound mixed cutie and about 60lbs. (Yes I LOVE this dog and would take him if I physically could ❤️). He has medical needs (epilepsy) that is well controlled with meds (no seizures since July)… but does require someone that’s available to administer meds twice a day. He’s amazing with other dogs, loves to cuddle, and clings to his people. TBD on cats, I don’t know if he’s been test but he’s submissive enough my guess would be he would do great.

Story
Meet Judah! Gender: Male Age: 3 years Current Weight:45 lbs Breed:Beagle mix Energy Level: Medium-High Dog Friendly: Yes, and can have other dogs in the home or can be an only dog Cat Friendly: No Kid Friendly: Yes to kids Apartment Friendly: Yes Physical Fence Requirement: Physical fence required, 5'-6' height required Crate Trained: Yes, Although Judah loves being out and about, he's perfectly content and willing to be crated. He will patiently wait in a crate for you all day while you work for you to get home and love on him. Judah is patient, kind, smart, affectionate, and ready to take on whatever comes his way! Potty Trained: Yes Ideal Home/Adopter: Need an adventure buddy?! A nature enthusiast?! A pro cuddler?! Congrats, Judah is your guy! Within his little body is a dog with a whole lot of love for the exercise and play time of any kind, the great outdoors, and most importantly, YOU. Though his legs be but little, they are fierce; and they're ready to run, jump, and sprint whenever you want to go. Because of his great love of being outside and exploring, it's best that Judah finds himself in a home that lets him run free outside, but safety in fully secured area. When he's done running around and playing with you outside though, Judah is more than happy to settle in and cuddle for the evening. He will gladly chew a toy next to you, as you go about your evening routine. Likes: "Wanna go outside?" are Judah's favorite words. He loves romping around but he also loves walks and sniffing around. Being outside makes Judah so excited that on walks most of the time he lets his nose lead the way rather than his legs. He'll need some leash training, but is always down for training and learning new things if it involves him getting treats!! Judah not picky when it comes to treats, chicken, beef, peanut butter, fruit, whatever the treat, he's ready to work for it! Because of his love of food, he's the perfect dog for training and learning new tricks. Aside from food as a love language, his other love language is definitely hugs and cuddles. This dog loves to snuggle up next to you and be in your lap if you let him and he'd be the best pillow warmer for you at night. Dislikes: Did someone say SQUIRREL?! They're definitely public enemy #1 for Judah, he must defend his home and human against them at all cost!! Judah is a hound at heart and is driven by nature to act on his instinct and sense of smell to hunt out all possible threats for you (that includes trying to climb up trees to chase away the scary birds and squirrels that may lark there). Some may say Judah ain't nothing but a hound dog, but he'll show them just how wrong they are! Judah is more than just his breed, he's a dog who got a love for life and excitement like no other. All Judah wants is a best friend, and he'll be best buddies with just about anyone - he loves new people, new places , and new smells to explore! Judah is intelligent beyond his years, knowing what he wants and isn't afraid to go after them. When you adopt Judah, you're sure to learn a thing or two about loving life, the joys of the great outdoors, and unconditional love. Judah's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved. ##2640639##

Story
💔 Tragedy has struck one of our adopter families, leaving this deeply bonded mother-daughter pair urgently in need of a new home.In January 2022, sweet Daisy came to us and delivered a litter of puppies in our care. She and one of her babies, Izzy, were adopted together—and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Izzy has always been a mama’s girl. This week, their world was turned upside down. The woman who gave them a loving home was tragically killed in a car accident. 💔 Her family can’t keep the dogs and has asked us to take them back. Now Daisy and Izzy need someone to give them a second chance—together, if at all possible.🐶 Izzy is the perfect girl:✔️ Great with kids✔️ Good with cats and dogs✔️ Loving and easygoing🐕‍🦺 Daisy (the mama) is more sensitive:She’s fearful of strangers and takes time to warm up.She is not aggressive, but has occasionally nipped when scared. She needs a calm, patient home that will let her adjust at her own pace.We know it’s a hard time for dogs needing homes. But we also know there’s someone out there who can offer these girls the stability and love they’ve lost.🙏 Please consider opening your heart and your home to Izzy and Daisy—whether through adoption or foster care. You can apply at ricopetrecovery.org.

Story
Nutmeg’s story started when our team recovered her in the middle of nowhere. She had been abandoned and was clearly not a dog that showed signs of being loved. Now, she’s slowly discovering that humans can be safe, and full of ear scratches (which she has decided are absolutely the best thing ever). She’s still learning how to “dog,” and new things can feel scary at first. Nutmeg is a flight risk and will always need a secure harness and leash outside, even in a fenced yard for a while. She needs time to decompress, build trust, and move at her own pace. But once you’re in her circle? She falls in loved. The shy little girl who once avoided people starts seeking you out for affection, quiet companionship, and those magical ear scratches.Nutmeg is wonderful with dogs and cats of all sizes in her foster home and would do best with a patient, understanding family willing to let her blossom in her own time. She is about a year old and 16 pounds. You can apply to meet her at ricopetrecovery.org.  Adoption fee is $350

Story
Meet Theo. This guy’s big ole ears are almost as big as his loving sweet heart. Theo is ready for a lifetime of love and tenderness and someone to teach him the ways of puppy and adult life. He follows his nose around and is always up for a puppy romp. He is typical puppy, eat, sleep play repeat. Theo never meets a stranger. Quick to welcome you into his life. He adores attention from all people and dogs. Goofy, playful, and energetic. Wonderful temperament, and adorable face and warm sad eyes just pull you right in and make you want to melt. Having him around lights up the whole house. Anyone would be lucky to make him part of your life. Theo will have you wrapped around his little paw the minute you meet him. Guaranteed to bring numerous smiles to your life every day. If you’re ready to give this sweetheart a lifetime of belly rubs, treats, and a cozy bed, please reach out! Let’s find this sweet pup the forever home he deserves. Once adopted he will travel via the Rescue Transport to his new family. They travel each weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the northeast, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island (transport is an additional $185.00). Gets your apps in fast this little fella won’t be available long. Link to the application below. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9
