Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, my name is Valentino, but my friends just call me Tino. My litter mates and I were rescued by some wonderful people from a bad situation in Kentucky. Now here I am in a wonderful foster home with Rose's Rescue. They are going to help me find my forever home. I am a friendly, outgoing love bug of a guy. I am 5 months old and weigh around 20 lbs. I will probably grow to be 30 lbs, you know, just the right size. I do have a lot of puppy energy and just love getting all the attention.  Me and Luciano would be great together, if you are looking for 2 dogs. We can entertain each other and wear each other out. Cut us loose in a fenced yard and we will love it. Dogs are pack animals. We would be at a discounted fee. I am neutered and up to date on vaccines, just ready for my new home!DNA Results: Top 5 Breeds 24% Beagle 18% Chihuahua 11% American Pit Bull Terrier 6% Chow Chow 6% German Shepherd Dog   If interested, you can easily fill out an adoption application by clicking here:  adoption application For anyone viewing this on Petfinder, if you are interested in adopting this animal you will need to go to our website www.rosesrescue.net to fill out the online adoption application. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello world, my name is Luciano. I was rescued by some very wonderful people, along with my siblings from Kentucky. I have moved to Rose's Rescue, to find my new home. I am 20 pounds and 5 months old. I should get to be around 30 pounds. I am a tad shy with humans, but sure think I can hold my own with the other dogs. I do love to play and I love to snuggle in bed with my person. Didn't take me long to learn that! Me and Valentino would be great together, if you are looking for 2 dogs. We can entertain each other and wear each other out. Cut us loose in a fenced yard and we will love it. Dogs are pack animals. We would be at a discounted price.  I am vetted and ready to rock n roll.DNA Test Results: Top 5 Breeds 24% Beagle 18% Chihuahua 11% American Pit Bull Terrier 6% Chow Chow 6% German Shepherd Dog   If interested, you can easily fill out an adoption application by clicking here:  adoption application For anyone viewing this on Petfinder, if you are interested in adopting this animal you will need to go to our website www.rosesrescue.net to fill out the online adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, I am Toffee and somehow I was dropped off at the dog warden's shelter. I am a bit of a timid little girl, so that noisey busy place was not for me.  I am now in a foster home and working on adjusting.  I am around 2 years old and weigh in at about 20 lbs.  I am a beagle mix girl, maybe with a Chihuahua.  Don't let my sweet face fool you. I have that beagle nose that goes directly to the ground when outside.  I REQUIRE A FENCED YARD.  I walk fairly well on the leash, but with my nose to the ground I do pull, so could use some work there. I have a sweet disposition and am enjoying meeting new people.  I am a very sweet girl, but do need an understanding owner that will calmly let me get used to my new surroundings. If interested, you can easily fill out an adoption application by clicking here:  adoption application For anyone viewing this on Petfinder, if you are interested in adopting this animal you will need to go to our website www.rosesrescue.net to fill out the online adoption application. **WE ARE CURRENTLY DOING ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. YOU MUST CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING. PLEASE LEAVE US A VOICEMAIL IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO REACH US. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there! My name is Marge! I'm about 2-3 years old and I weigh about 33 lbs. I was brought into the pound after some issues with my owner who had to be taken away for some health evaluations. We had been living in the car for quite some time when I was brought to the pound. It seemed that my owner did love me, she was just struggling in many ways. I am a very sweet girl here at the pound, but I've been struggling to find the right home. I am great with most people here. It can take me a little time to warm up, but once I know you, I act like I've loved you my whole life. My ideal home is a quiet one without children. I seem to do fine with men here at the pound, but men have been an issue for me in a home, so a home without men may also be best for me. I MUST meet all people I will be living with prior to being adopted just to make sure that I will do okay with them. Once I know and love my people, I am very protective of them, which is what sparked concern in my previous home as we lived near a play ground and I didn't like the kids or all the strange people around all the time. I have been good around the other dogs here at the pound and I have also done good around the cats that are here in the office. I do appear to be housebroken, at least for the most part. If you're looking for a medium sized dog to love, please consider me. Our adoption fee is $152. We accept cash, check or credit/ debit cards for adoption fees. If you pay using a credit or debit card, a convenience fee of 2.39% will also be applied. If paying by check, you will need 2. One Check will be for the dog license, and one will be for your dog's adoption fee, which includes heartworm testing (for dogs 6 months of age old and older), parvo/distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, 3 days of panacur de-wormer, spay or neuter surgery, microchip, and a current Ohio dog license. We DO offer foster to adopt. (We will NOT accept cash for foster to adopt). We highly recommend you do a foster to adopt with your new dog if you are not 100% sure your new dog is going to work out in your home. Foster to adopt gives you a couple of weeks with the dog to make sure they are a good fit with your family before your payment is processed and the adoption is finalized. ALL DOGS/PUPPIES WILL BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED unless a health issue prohibits the surgery from being performed. Not all dogs posted for adoption are spayed/ neutered yet. If you're driving a long distance to adopt, please verify that the vetting process has been completed and dog you're interested in adopting is still available for adoption. The above mentioned vetting is all included in your adoption fee. The adoption fee and what is included in the adoption fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Adoptions MUST be done at the pound and in person as there is paperwork to fill out and an adoption contract that must be signed by the adopter. This means you must be willing to travel to our shelter to adopt. If the dog you're interested in adopting has medical conditions or injuries which require medical treatment, we ask that you help with the medical bills, in addition to their adoption fee if possible so we can continue to help the dogs coming in who need additional vet care. We are a county run shelter, therefore we cannot control our intake or the health or behavior of the dogs that come in to our shelter. Although we try our hardest to place all of our adoptable dogs, there are certain circumstances in which any dog in our care could be euthanized at any time and without further notice (IE: sudden untreatable medical condition or injury, temperament or behavioral problems which may not be apparent when the dog first arrives, etc.), therefore all dogs at our shelter should be considered urgent. We try our absolute hardest to never have to euthanize for space and have not had to do so for many years thanks to the ongoing support from the public and high adoption rates. Please remember; the adoption of a more highly adoptable dog will mean more time for the less adoptable dog in the kennel next to him! Shelter hours are Monday-Friday: 8 am- 4 pm. Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 8 am - 12 pm. Adoptions are always welcome any day of the week/ weekend and on holidays. We are here everyday to care for the dogs and the best way to make our day is to see our dogs go to loving families. There is nobody in the office on Saturday, Sunday or holidays, so therefore, we are unable to answer or return phone calls over the weekend. We are only staffed to take care of the dogs and do adoptions over the weekends/ on holidays. Can't adopt a dog? We would love to have more volunteers who are able to spend time with our dogs! The dogs LOVE going for walks and the socialization and exercise helps make the dogs more adoptable. Story
Please contact melissa (melissa@pawsandprayers.org) for more information about this pet.  Meet Ozzy!  He is about 5 years old, weighs 25 pounds, and is a beagle mix. Ozzy is a very sweet and chill guy.  He doesn't mind curling up in the same room as his human or getting in sniffs outside. Ozzy is generally quiet and is a medium energy level. He is dog friendly. Ozzy is crate trained. He has not met kids or cats.  Ozzy came from a rural county and we believe he was living outside. The edges of his ears are rough, but that doesn't deter him down from being the sweetest! His adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccines, microchip, and neuter. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an adoption application today at our website  www.pawsandprayers.org. Ozzy's adoption fee is $250.    ***The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an adoption application today at our website www.pawsandprayers.org.
