Story
Ive had Obi for the last 6 months. I took him to the vet and got him his shots. The vet says he's a pure bread beagle and is 2 years old now. I have a lot of medical issues, with a busy schedule and an upcoming surgery, I just can't give him the home he deserves any more. Obi loves kids, loves to cuddle, and loves to lounge around. He absolutely loves his snacks and salmon flavored dog food. He needs a loving home and would be a great family dog, especially if you have children.

Story
Maisy is an 7.5 year old sweet natured female blue tick Beagle who loves people, playing and of course her food. She belonged to my mother who moved into care 2 years ago and has recently passed. We have been taking care of her for the past couple of years. She lives with 5 cats and this proves difficult as she likes to play and they don't. We are also full time workers and she is home alone a lot and we don't like that for her.

**WE ARE CURRENTLY DOING ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. YOU MUST CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING. PLEASE LEAVE US A VOICEMAIL IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO REACH US. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there. My name is Waylon. I'm about 5 years old and I weigh about 55 lbs (I'm quite hefty and need to be on a good diet to help get me to a healthy weight). I was picked up by the pound after my owner passed away and there was nobody else to care for me. I'm the sweetest boy! I absolutely love people. I've always been a house dog. I appear to be completely housebroken and although I don't particularly care for going into my crate here at the pound, I keep it spotless, even on the weekends. I am used to being the only dog so I'm not necessarily outright mean to other dogs, but I haven't been properly socialized, so I can be unsure of other dogs and not always have the best reactions. I have been good around neutral dogs that don't really want to be in my face or bother me. I would likely do best in a home without other dogs, or with calm dogs. If you're looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me. Our adoption fee is $152. We accept cash, check or credit/ debit cards for adoption fees. If you pay using a credit or debit card, a convenience fee of 2.39% will also be applied. If paying by check, you will need 2. One Check will be for the dog license, and one will be for your dog's adoption fee, which includes heartworm testing (for dogs 6 months of age old and older), parvo/distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, 3 days of panacur de-wormer, spay or neuter surgery, microchip, and a current Ohio dog license. We DO offer foster to adopt. (We will NOT accept cash for foster to adopt). We highly recommend you do a foster to adopt with your new dog if you are not 100% sure your new dog is going to work out in your home. Foster to adopt gives you a couple of weeks with the dog to make sure they are a good fit with your family before your payment is processed and the adoption is finalized. ALL DOGS/PUPPIES WILL BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED unless a health issue prohibits the surgery from being performed. Not all dogs posted for adoption are spayed/ neutered yet. If you're driving a long distance to adopt, please verify that the vetting process has been completed and dog you're interested in adopting is still available for adoption. The above mentioned vetting is all included in your adoption fee. The adoption fee and what is included in the adoption fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Adoptions MUST be done at the pound and in person as there is paperwork to fill out and an adoption contract that must be signed by the adopter. This means you must be willing to travel to our shelter to adopt. If the dog you're interested in adopting has medical conditions or injuries which require medical treatment, we ask that you help with the medical bills, in addition to their adoption fee if possible so we can continue to help the dogs coming in who need additional vet care. We are a county run shelter, therefore we cannot control our intake or the health or behavior of the dogs that come in to our shelter. Although we try our hardest to place all of our adoptable dogs, there are certain circumstances in which any dog in our care could be euthanized at any time and without further notice (IE: sudden untreatable medical condition or injury, temperament or behavioral problems which may not be apparent when the dog first arrives, etc.), therefore all dogs at our shelter should be considered urgent. We try our absolute hardest to never have to euthanize for space and have not had to do so for many years thanks to the ongoing support from the public and high adoption rates. Please remember; the adoption of a more highly adoptable dog will mean more time for the less adoptable dog in the kennel next to him! Shelter hours are Monday-Friday: 8 am- 4 pm. Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 8 am - 12 pm. Adoptions are always welcome any day of the week/ weekend and on holidays. We are here everyday to care for the dogs and the best way to make our day is to see our dogs go to loving families. There is nobody in the office on Saturday, Sunday or holidays, so therefore, we are unable to answer or return phone calls over the weekend. We are only staffed to take care of the dogs and do adoptions over the weekends/ on holidays. Can't adopt a dog? We would love to have more volunteers who are able to spend time with our dogs! The dogs LOVE going for walks and the socialization and exercise helps make the dogs more adoptable. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there. My name is Nosy. I'm about 9 years old and I weigh about 38 lbs. My friend Cleo and I were picked up just a couple of days apart from the same area. I'm a very sweet boy! I've been very friendly with all of the people I've met so far and I've also been good with the other dogs I've met here at the pound. I am currently sharing a kennel with Cleo and we get along great. We did live together before making our way into the pound. We keep our kennel clean at night and appear to be housebroken. Story
Say hello to Stella! This 4-year-old Beagle beauty is the total package—cute, clever, and cuddly! Stella might be a little shy when you first meet her, but give her a few minutes (and maybe a treat or two), and she’ll be your new best friend. She’s got her potty manners down and already knows how to SIT like a good girl! Stella gets along great with other pups and has been friendly with every person she’s met—tail wags and all. If you’re looking for a sweet, soulful snuggle buddy with just the right amount of sass and smarts, Stella’s your girl. She’s ready to steal your heart (and maybe your spot on the couch)! Stella is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, and current on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. Her adoption fee is $250. Ready to make Stella a part of your family? The first step is to complete an adoption application at www.rescue330.org. ##2422056##
