Story
Meet Jenny! Jenny is a soft, soulful, and quietly wonderful girl. She is a 3-year-old Beagle mix who has a gentle heart and a story that has taught her to move through the world carefully. Once she knows you, she is very sweet, but trust takes time and that is okay. Jenny isn't the kind of dog who rushes into relationships. She blossoms slowly, on her own timeline, with patience and kindness. What Jenny does know right away is dogs. She absolutely loves them and truly thrives as part of a pack. She bonds deeply with other dogs in a way she simply doesn't with people, and they give her confidence and comfort. She adores dogs of all sizes, plays happily with them, and will even choose to snuggle with her dog friends at bedtime, although she is perfectly content sleeping in bed with you, too. Because of her past, Jenny is scared of the leash and needs a home that understands she may always be more of a homebody. That said, she loves being outside, especially sunbathing, which might just be her favorite hobby. She is calm, quiet, crate trained, housebroken, and treat motivated. She will happily take treats from your hand and allow gentle pets, especially when her dog friends are nearby cheering her on. Jenny is indifferent to cats and would do best in a quiet, adult-only home or one with older children (over 12) who can respect her space and allow her to exist without pressure. The best way to win Jenny over is to ignore her, let her come to you, and let the trust build naturally. No forcing, no expectations, just patience. She is just deeply lovable, a little quirky, and absolutely worth getting to know. For the right family, especially one with other friendly dogs, Jenny will be a soft, steady presence who brings warmth, humor, and heart in her own beautifully subtle way.  Jenny is vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $350 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Story
Meet Rocky! Rocky is a darling 4-5 month pup. He was rescued from euthanasia in an overcrowded shelter. He is so sweet and doing very well in his foster home.  We're not sure what his breed mix is but he looks Beagle-ish with a hint of Chihuahua. His DNA probably has a mix of many breeds. He is going to be medium sized as an adult - around 20-25 lbs.  Rocky is a friendly boy, playful and fun. He gets along great with other dogs but we have not seen him with cats. He would love a playmate and a yard and he will make a wonderful family member.  Rocky is still very young and will need training and socialization to grow up to be a good canine citizen. He can't be alone for long periods of time yet.  Rocky is vaccinated and dewormed. He will be microchipped shortly. He will be neutered between 8-12 months of age at our cost. His adoption fee is $525 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! These sweet, social boys may be a little shy when first meeting new people, but they warm up quickly and are eager to make connections once they feel comfortable. They are learning that the world is a safe place and continue to build confidence each day. Benny and Ray are gentle, friendly dogs who just need a little time and patience to fully blossom. We’re looking forward to meeting them and helping their confidence grow as they prepare for their next chapter with loving families. Foster Profile: Coming Soon! Story
Animal Information: Nila is a 4 month old female hound mix puppy. Snow, Nila and Mia, along with their mother Gigi are looking to get a fresh start in the Seattle area. Nila and her siblings were in a foster home in Texas where they got along great with other dogs and easily made friends with new people. They are cute and cuddly, have friendly personalities and will make wonderful companions.  Nila's mom weighs 40lbs so we do expect these puppies to be in that range weight wise "Best Guess". Foster Profile: Coming Soon! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Story
Animal Information: Blossom is an estimated 2-year-old 30 lb (could lose a few) now spayed female mixed breed who was confiscated from a property with over forty dogs and held for investigation at County of Hawaii Animal Control. Upon release she was immediately at risk due to space. A staff favorite for her bubbly personality and dog social skills, and no behavior flags, she was pulled to foster 5/29 and tagged for Dog Gone Seattle. She is excellent with other dogs and should have a canine companion in her foster home to ease transition. She was not reactive to chickens but has not been assessed with cats; slow introductions would be required. We anticipate she will need leash and house training (though she is clean in her kennel, pottying in a designated area only) and is likely to be a quick learner due to her eager-to-please temperament. We will share more information as we get to know her in foster care. Foster Profile: Meet Blossom — a friendly, low-rider sweetheart who loves to play with our resident dog and is learning to be a dog. She does well in her crate (may whine briefly but settles quickly) and has medium energy—bursts of high-intensity play followed by long restful periods. Blossom is affectionate and eager to learn: she responds well to training.  Ideal home: someone patient and consistent with training, comfortable with dog-dog play, and able to provide a calm routine and gentle boundaries. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Story
Ben is a sweet and loveable soul who needs a relaxed and chill environment to match his desire for serenity. He wants a loyal companion who can offer him a quiet space, consistent walking/hiking, lots of petting and treats galore. He is crate trained, house trained, and does not chew or destroy anything. He knows basic commands and walks like a champ! Ben has low to medium energy. He loves his daily walks, but after that is content to chill and sleep around the house. He loves laying in sunny spots in the house and is very food motivated. He especially loves jumping in the creek and will play tug of war on a big stick. Ben would thrive in a home with low stimulation and consistent love and attention. He could be a loving companion for a family or individual who would want a good combination of chill and walk time. He would not do well in a household with consistent visitors coming in and out and would need patient introductions to new children and visitors.
