Story
Animal Profile: Bodhi is a 3-year-old, 78-pound Beauceron mix. This guy is full of spunk and loves to play. Sadly, Bodhi found himself at risk in an overcrowded shelter simply because there wasn’t enough space.  Foster Update:  Bodh i is a sweet boy who wants to be close to you. He takes time to warm up to new people and is committed to his people onces he has established a bond. He does well with other dogs off leash and is able to adjust his play based on the size of the dog . Bodhi loves to play and loves ALL the toys! He will grab every toy from the basket and happily entertain himself. He doesn't want to destroy them and no toys have been eaten/chewed apart. He also doesn't care if Louise wants a toy–he will happily let her take it and find another one. As Bodhi has settled in with us he has demonstrated more of guardian breed behavior and reactivity on leash. He is a strong boy, will pull on leash, and will need an experienced handler. Given these tendencies we think he will be better in an adult only home with large breed experience. Bodhi will do best in a single family home with a fenced yd; we are not considering apartments for Bodhi.   Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, recent exam with a veterinarian, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued from Stanislaus shelter in California, arriving to foster care in Seattle on 11/13 via START. This dog will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.February 3, 2026, 10:33 pm

Story
HI - I'M MORGAN, and I'm a large (90-pound-plus) 7-year-old handsome male Rottweiler in need of a home. When I walk into a room or down the street, I exude presence, and you'll surely get lots of looks with me by your side. I'm a very loyal Rottie and will be loving and protective to my person. I especially love women though would do fine with the right guy. I'm not fond of farm animals, and I'm also not a fan of some veterinarians. I do have some arthritis, so stairs do not work for me. I'm also bit flat-footed now and then, but nobody will notice. Rottweiler or big-dog experience is essential! I would do best with a single person or a couple who wants a loyal companion and who has experience with the breed. I would also do best in a quiet home where my person or people are my world. Please email for an application.

Story
HI - I'M PHOENIX! I'm a handsome and healthy 10-year-old Rottie-Dobie mix in need of a foster or forever home. I lost my previous foster home due to no fault of mine, and I really miss having people around to snuggle and take me for walks and other outings. A little bit about me: I was rescued from a shelter a couple years ago, where I was a shelter favorite, and am currently waiting for someone to adopt me. I weigh about 80 lbs. Despite my age, I am active and I'm a very loving dog. I'll do well with an active person or people who can take me for walks and hikes. I have many positive traits - I am affectionate, I walk well on a leash, and I am a loyal and sweet dog. I will be your best friend for life. I also prefer to have my person or people around, but that can be expected of most dogs! I am not a barker unless it is warranted. I can also be a bit protective of my people and our property, which can be a good thing. While I get along with dogs I know (especially female dogs around my size), I can be reactive on a leash toward dogs I don't know. However, I really do like female dogs - I currently love to hang out and go on walks with my girlfriend Darla, a Doberman. And I love human attention and affection - I am affectionate and caring. I'd do well with a strong owner, too. Please email for an application. I'm currently still in Southern California, but can be transported to you in Washington.

Story
MEET RINGO! Ringo is a handsome 8-1/2-year-old German Shepherd in need of a foster or forever home. He was rescued from a shelter awhile back and is ready for a new leash on life! He is very intelligent and loyal. Ringo bonds intensely with his person, so would thrive in a home with a single person, or possibly a couple with German Shepherd experience ideally. Like most shepherds, he will be your true companion. He may be protective, so a quiet home/setting is important for him. Ringo loves car rides and riding in the front seat! He would love road trips and other adventures. He takes treats gently and sits on command. He has done well around other dogs. Ringo is currently in Southern California, but can be transported to Washington. Please email for an application. He weighs about 69 lbs.
