Animal Profile: Bodhi is a 3-year-old, 78-pound Beauceron mix. This happy guy is full of spunk and loves to play. Sadly, Bodhi found himself at risk in an overcrowded shelter simply because there wasn’t enough space. But despite it all, he never lost his happy spirit or wagging tail. His playful energy and friendly nature shine through in every interaction. Foster Update:  Bodh i is a really sweet boy who wants to be close to you! He is cute as a button and the type of dog that will lean against you whenever he gets the chance. He takes treats gently and is a smart boy who already knows 'sit,’ 'come,’ 'wait.’ We are working on 'down,’ and 'crate.’ When he first met our resident dog, Louise, and she growled, he was not reactive at all and just went about his business. Now they are fast friends and play very well together in spite of their size difference. Bodhi loves to play and loves ALL the toys! He will grab every toy from the basket and happily entertain himself. He doesn't want to destroy them and no toys have been eaten/chewed apart. He also doesn't care if Louise wants a toy–he will happily let her take it and find another one. He's a strong boy and can pull on leash, especially when we first start our walks, but he really wants to please and loves treats, so the little bit of training we've been doing with him has been going great. He is going to make his future family really happy!   Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, recent exam with a veterinarian, and microchip with lifetime registration. Smart and eager to please, Brighton is both house- and crate-trained. He walks beautifully on a gentle leader halter and would thrive with continued training to help him become the best walking companion he can be. With his energy and love for the outdoors, Brighton would make an excellent partner for hiking, running, or long walks. Though shy at first, once Brighton warms up, his goofy, playful side shines through. He loves chasing soccer balls, playing fetch with tennis balls or rope toys, and then happily curling up nearby while you relax. He’s loyal to his core and simply wants to be wherever his people are.
