Story
Animal Profile: Bodhi is an estimated 2-year-old, 75-pound Doberman Shepherd or possibly Beauceron mix. This guy is full of spunk and loves to play. Sadly, Bodhi found himself at risk in an overcrowded shelter simply because there wasn’t enough space.  Foster Update: Bodhi is a smart, biddable, confident and fun dog. He loves to play -- fetch, tug, wrestling, doesn't matter -- and work. He truly enjoys obedience training, and structured play is a great way to fill his cup. He is fully crate trained and house-trained and has great dog social skills with both large and small dogs. He has not been evaluated with cats and we would require cat testing prior to placement.  Bodhi is a guardian breed mix and absolutely needs a knowledgeable owner who can provide him leadership and structure, as well as enforce boundaries. Without this relationship dynamic, Bodhi is pushy with his people, and territorial to newcomers. WIth the right relationship dynamic, Bodhi is biddable with his person and accepting of new people. Bodhi will do best with an intentional owner who wants to do stuff with him (versus as a hang around the house, kind of pet) although Bodhi does absolutely have a chill setting and is not hyperactive in the home.  He runs well on a leash and goes on regular 3-mile runs with a volunteer. He knows sit, down -- with implied stays -- recalls with distractions, and walks nicely on leash. He is absolutely a lot of dog and a "dog person" will truly appreciate him. He would be too much for a first time or inexperienced dog owner.  Adopter Profile: Single family residence required No apartments or condos Fenced yard preferred (not required) Other dogs OK but not required Cats considered with evaluation Large breed experience required Training experience or commitment to learn required Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, recent exam with a veterinarian, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued from Stanislaus shelter in California, arriving to foster care in Seattle on 11/13 via START. This dog will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.June 12, 2026, 12:18 am

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾⚡ Meet Kaiser — Big Energy, Bigger Heart, Certified Adventure Buddy ⚡🐾 Kaiser may look like he runs a biker gang, but don’t be fooled, he's just like the bun he's named after...hard on the outside but soft on the inside!! — this 41-lb pup in a tough-dog wrapper is all about fun, play, and good vibes. Born on 3/28/25, Kaiser is a young, athletic guy with enthusiasm for life turned up to maximum volume. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and on preventative, so his resume is just as solid as his jawline. Kaiser gets along with other dogs and loves to play — sometimes a little too enthusiastically — so he’d do best with dog friends who enjoy a good wrestling match and don’t mind his “all in” play style. 🐶 Kaiser’s Greatest Hits: ⚡ 41 lbs of high-octane fun ⚡ Very playful, very energetic, very entertaining ⚡ Gets along with all dogs (plays a bit rough — referee whistles not included) ⚡ Barks at cats but has had no contact with them ⚡ Walks into a room looking intimidating… leaves with everyone laughing ⚡ Absolute marshmallow on the inside Kaiser is dreaming of an active, outdoorsy family who wants a true adventure buddy. Hiking? He’s lacing up his imaginary boots. Exploring trails? He’s already in the lead. Backyard zoomies? Consider it handled. He thrives on movement, stimulation, and being included in the action. Despite his bold looks and boundless energy, Kaiser is a sweetheart who just wants to belong. He’s eager, playful, and full of potential — the kind of dog who will keep you laughing, moving, and never bored. If you’re looking for a hiking pawtner, a playful goof, and a dog who looks tough but cuddles like a pro… Kaiser is ready to roll. ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Kaiser power up your life! 🐾💥

Story
Animal Information: Niley is a 1-year-old female Shepsky mix with striking eyes and a beautiful coat. She’s friendly with both people and other dogs, but found herself at risk for euthanasia due to her extended stay at the shelter and the kennel stress that came with it. That environment can be especially tough on dogs like Niley, so once we had a committed foster in place, we were able to step in and save her life. Foster Profile:   Niley is still a bit shy but very sweet and friendly! She’s a gentle dog who is interested in playing with other dogs, but nothing too rough and tumble. Niley is a bit more human motivated than a typical Husky and comes and leans in for pats . She has the typical energy level of a young Husky, but is able to calm down better than expected. Niley sometimes makes noises or yips when she is put back in the crate or if there is a lot of action she doesn't get to participate in, but she calms after a few minutes. With structure I think she'll get the rest of crate training pretty fast. She sleeps through the night in her crate without issue. She is still a little confused by the leash but she kinda goes with the flow and will start walking with you or following leash pressure.   I think Niley will really benefit from ongoing structure and consistent training; breed experience is a plus! More to come as this sweet girl settles in. Medical Note: Shortly after her arrival to Seattle, Niley developed some difficulty walking and balance issues. She has been evaluated by our vet without definitive diagnosis, however, has improved on oral medication. We believe she will need ongoing medication and will benefit from adopters comfortable managing these issues. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $400 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from San Bernardino in Modesto, CA. She will be transferred via Wigglebutts, arriving to foster care on 04/26/26 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.June 12, 2026, 12:18 am

Story
Animal Information: Zoey is a 6 year old, 60 pound German Shepherd mix in need of a new home. She was adopted from Kitsap Humane Society three years ago and has been waiting over a year to be rehomed. Her current owner is moving due to health reasons, and Zoey is now confined to a crate most of the day with only brief breaks. She has lived with a cat, but her limited time outside the crate makes it unclear how well she is fully integrated. Zoey is house trained, crate trained, and has basic obedience skills. She is dog friendly. She is social with people and seeks out attention. Zoey would do best with an adopter who has experience with large breeds or shepherd type dogs. Foster Profile:  This girl is so incredibly sweet! All owner surrenders break my heart a bit, but she’s just been such a delight already to have with us, and will make such a great companion for a lucky person or family. She’s got that sugar face already at 5 years old, but it's so clear she’s still got young dog energy. She likes to play fetch and run around, but has a chill mode too. She’s not underfoot, but she likes to know where you are and be near. Her personality reminds me a little of a classic lab meets GSD, a little goofy, sweet, and energetic, but also very smart, clever, and quick. She seems to like water as she has plopped herself in our very small, decorative pond quite a few times already.  Zoey is crate and potty trained, and already knows sit, laydown, and kennel up. We’re working on leash training as she is a strong girl who can really pull, but she is responding well to a training collar. We think she would be fine as an only dog, as she really loves her people. However, given how she has been following around our resident dog, Theo, and booping him on the butt to get him to play, we think she would also be so happy to have a pal who wants to play with her! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was surrendered to our rescue when her owner had a chance of living arrangement. She is arriving to foster care as soon as we secure a foster home and will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.June 12, 2026, 12:18 am
