Animal Profile: Bodhi is a 3-year-old, 78-pound Beauceron mix. This happy guy is full of spunk and loves to play. Sadly, Bodhi found himself at risk in an overcrowded shelter simply because there wasn’t enough space. But despite it all, he never lost his happy spirit or wagging tail. His playful energy and friendly nature shine through in every interaction. Foster Update:  Bodh i is a really sweet boy who wants to be close to you! He is cute as a button and the type of dog that will lean against you whenever he gets the chance. He takes treats gently and is a smart boy who already knows 'sit,’ 'come,’ 'wait.’ We are working on 'down,’ and 'crate.’ When he first met our resident dog, Louise, and she growled, he was not reactive at all and just went about his business. Now they are fast friends and play very well together in spite of their size difference. Bodhi loves to play and loves ALL the toys! He will grab every toy from the basket and happily entertain himself. He doesn't want to destroy them and no toys have been eaten/chewed apart. He also doesn't care if Louise wants a toy–he will happily let her take it and find another one. He's a strong boy and can pull on leash, especially when we first start our walks, but he really wants to please and loves treats, so the little bit of training we've been doing with him has been going great. He is going to make his future family really happy!   Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, recent exam with a veterinarian, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued from Stanislaus shelter in California, arriving to foster care in Seattle on 11/13 via START. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Raina! Raina is a 1-year-old, 62 LB Rottweiler/Lab mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. This gorgeous girl is as sweet as they come — affectionate, loving, and always ready to lean in for a cuddle (or climb right into your lap if you let her!). Raina walks well on leash, loves to explore, and would love to join a family that takes her on daily walks and adventures. She’s treat-motivated, smart, and eager to please, making her a great candidate for continued training. She’s done well with other dogs and would love a home that keeps her social and active while also providing good structure and boundaries. She hasn’t been tested with cats or children, but she’s been nothing but sweet with everyone she’s met so far. Raina is a total sweetheart who’s the perfect mix of playful and cuddly — she’s going to make a wonderful companion for one lucky family! Raina is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.

Zelda is a gorgeous 8-year-old, 75 lb Rottweiler/Lab mix with the softest coat, sweetest eyes, and an adorable smile that will melt your heart. This gentle, loving girl is the definition of a loyal best friend—she bonds deeply with her people and will happily follow you from couch cuddles to evening strolls. She melts right into her people, is a leaner, and is always wagging her tail! She’s an older gal looking to spend her golden years in comfort and love. Zelda adores soft dog beds, a good couch nap, and the occasional snack (she is very treat-motivated and already knows her basic commands). She’s fully house trained, has wonderful house manners, walks nicely on leash, rides well in the car, and even enjoys bath time. Zelda can be dog selective and would prefer to be the only pet in the home—your one and only, queen of the castle. She’s not a fit for homes with cats or other small animals. An ideal match would be someone with big dog experience who can give her the easygoing, love-filled life she deserves. Toby is a 5-6 year old, 90-100lb Shepherd mix who is looking for his perfect forever home. Toby was abused in his past and due to this will need a very specific family. He is very sweet and loyal with his people once he is bonded. Toby is looking for a home that has a fully fenced yard out of the city. Somewhere rural and quiet would be perfect for him! He prefers women to men and can take some time to trust men. His ideal home would be female only, but could do ok with a female/male couple if the man was patient and could build trust with him. Toby needs a home without kids and other animals. No other dogs or cats. Toby can walk fine on leash around other dogs but needs to be the only dog in the home. Toby loves to run and play and will love to spend time with his people in his backyard soaking up the sun and running around. Toby is neutered, UTD on shots and microchipped. His adoption fee is $200.
