Story
WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS ABOUT ME: While Bodie is a big, gentle boy, he still considers himself a lap dog. He loves his people and is very cuddly so if given the opportunity, he will jump into your lap for all the affection he can soak in. He enjoys playing with his foster dog sisters and did well meeting males while in the shelter. Bodie is also always up for a good game of fetch or a a leisurely sniffy walk. He loves playing with soft, stuffed, squeaky toys. Bodie is fully potty trained, indicating when he needs to go out, and crate trained though, he does initially whine. All in all, Bodie's what we like to call, a certified good boy! Bodie came us underweight and we are working on getting him back to a healthy weight. He has a strong appetite and needs to be fed separately from other dogs as he has shown some resource guarding tendencies. He currently seems to have an affinity for human food - whether an old habit from his former life or due to his current body condition - but breaking that habit is a work in progress. He may need slow introductions with some men (e.g., men with big bushy beards) as we've noticed at times he can exhibit some concern. However, Bodie is able to attend events without a problem and you may even see him fully relaxed, sprawled across the floor after he gets tired of standing around, eagerly awaiting his forever family! Bodie does have a strong prey drive and we suspect would do best in a home without cats. Given how treat motivated Bodie is, he looks forward to continuing to train to become the goodest boy he can be once he's settled into his new home. -------------- Laila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained. she is AMAZING with our kids (1 and 4!). She also gets along wonderfully with our other pets. A big positive is her training - she stays in place for extended periods of time even if you leave the room, and she goes to the door to let you know when she’s ready to go potty! She would be an amazing addition to any family! Didi is spayed and had a vet visit this past week. She is steadily putting on weight and the vet said she is in great health overall. She is 21 pounds*

She gets scared because she does not know where she is going. Once the car is moving, she settles down. ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Meet Chloe!!! She is an 11-month-old Black Mouth Cur about 43 pounds. Chloe is a sweet and friendly girl who will bark at you at first and then be your best friend after she sniffs you all over. Once she approves of you, watch out because she will give you tons of kisses. She may even push you over on the couch once you are sitting down of course to ensure you do not get up until she has finished giving you all the love and kisses. Chloe enjoys the company of other dogs; however, she can be the only dog in the home too. She is playful with other dogs and loves catch, tug of war and running around back yard. She is able to entertain herself too. Chloe co-habitats with children over 13. That is best for her as she can knock kids down when she is playing or trying to give her kisses. Most of all, Chloe loves her people. She enjoys sitting on their laps, next to them on the couch or laying next to their feet as they work from home. She is a people pleaser and wants to be around her people as much as possible. At bedtime, Chloe will snuggle up to you and keep you warm. Chloe is crate trained but does not like the crate. She does not like to feel closed in. She will get anxious in a crate, and we do not want her to feel that way. We understand this and do not want to force her to do anything she is not comfortable with. There are other ways to keep her from going into other rooms if needed. An interesting fun fact about Chloe is she enjoys eating fruit. She enjoys a good melon, watermelon, strawberry, bananas and more. While her foster family is outside enjoying their barbeque, Chloe is right by their side on the ground eating fruit or a burger. This lovable pooch is a true sweetheart. She is looking for a home where she can be loved and spoiled. She will be your best snuggly companion. She loves to eat any treats you offer, especially bananas! She is very treat motivated to learn new things and is very curious about the outdoors. Chloe's ideal home is one filled with love, attention and plenty of opportunities to play and explore. If you're searching for a loyal companion to bring joy and happiness into your life, look no further than Chloe!
