They had been living outside — no place for a vulnerable puppy who just wants love. Despite her rough start, Amelia is an incredibly sweet, gentle, and submissive girl. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and has a calm, loving nature that wins everyone over. Just look at that precious face and those soulful puppy eyes — she’ll melt your heart in an instant. At her young age, Amelia is in the perfect stage for training and socialization, ready to learn and grow with her new family. She deserves the warmth and comfort of a forever home — could that be yours? Apply today and make Amelia part of your family! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
I was left outside for a month last winter after my mom fell ill and was hospitalized. My sister Junebug and I had to fend for ourselves while the neighbors tried to keep us fed. After a month, I was picked up by rescue and brought into a home full of lots of dogs. I get along with everybody here and I have fun playing a daily game of fetch and going on a pack walk! I am really easy on a leash. I love to snuggle and get lots and lots of petting! I’m called a Velcro girl because I’m always at your side! I am happiest when I have my sister with me, I would love for the two of us to get adopted together. She is posted on here as well, her name is Junebug. We are 32 and 35 pounds, 3 1/2 years old. We need a fenced yard. although adopting two dogs at once may sound like a lot, it’s really just like adopting one dog. We keep each other company and keep each other happy and then put you in the middle and we smother you with love!! We go out at the same time and we eat at the same time… just like having one dog, lol! If you have room in your home in heart for us, please contact my Foster mom at irondawgs13@gmail.com for adoption application.
