Story
*Woof* Come and meet me at 71 Oglethorpe St Nw!GiGi is a cutie gal in need of love and kindness. She is just a precious, innocent doggie who has not had it easy lately. Gigi recently arrived here thin and worried. We have been fussing over her and showing her extra love as her confidence is a bit lacking at the moment. She so wants affection and reassurance from her people -- her precious little tail wag shows that there is a real sweetheart hiding inside. We are certain that once this pretty girl feels safe and loved that she is going to shine and be a total cuddle bug. She spent some time in foster and they had this to share: She is insanely cute and cuddly - loves belly rubs, loves to cuddle, and loves to go on walks! She interacts so well with people and is very affectionate. She sleeps really well throughout the night and loves to cuddle in bed! She is so sweet and also loves to play! She plays with chew toys and balls.

Story
I was left outside for a month last winter after my mom fell ill and was hospitalized. My sister Junebug and I had to fend for ourselves while the neighbors tried to keep us fed. After a month, I was picked up by rescue and brought into a home full of lots of dogs. I get along with everybody here and I have fun playing a daily game of fetch and going on a pack walk! I am really easy on a leash. I love to snuggle and get lots and lots of petting! I’m called a Velcro girl because I’m always at your side! I am happiest when I have my sister with me, I would love for the two of us to get adopted together. She is posted on here as well, her name is Junebug. We are 32 and 35 pounds, 3 1/2 years old. We need a fenced yard. although adopting two dogs at once may sound like a lot, it’s really just like adopting one dog. We keep each other company and keep each other happy and then put you in the middle and we smother you with love!! We go out at the same time and we eat at the same time… just like having one dog, lol! If you have room in your home in heart for us, please contact my Foster mom at irondawgs13@gmail.com for adoption application.

I’m a young Black Mouth Cur mix (best guess) with a big heart and an even bigger love for life. My story didn’t start out very happily — I was sadly dumped at a convenience store in Georgia — but don’t worry, I didn’t let that rough beginning define me. I’m choosing joy instead. I’m a sweet, friendly girl who loves meeting new people and I get along great with other dogs. I have happy puppy energy and would be a perfect match for an active family who wants a loyal companion for adventures, playtime, and cuddles after a long day. I’m at the perfect age for training and socialization, which means I’m ready to learn, eager to please, and excited to grow into the very best dog I can be — especially with your guidance and love. If you give me a chance and a forever home, I promise to repay you the only way I know how: with unconditional love, endless joy, and years of tail wags and happy memories. Apply today and help me get the happy ending I’ve been dreaming of. I can’t wait to meet you! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
Meet Lando – 7 Years Young and Full of HeartLando is a handsome, silver-touched gentleman with just a hint of gray on his face and the most striking eyes—so beautifully outlined they look like he’s wearing eyeliner. At 7 years young, he’s calm, confident, and knows exactly who he is.This sweet boy takes treats gently, is fully housetrained, and keeps his kennel nice and clean. After his walks, Lando does the most adorable thing—he sits sweetly on his bed, patiently waiting for his well-earned treat, flashing that special smile he saves just for his favorite volunteers.Lando is an easy walker who truly enjoys spending time with his human friends. While he isn’t a fan of other dogs in the shelter environment, he did live successfully with another dog in his previous home, so with the right match and introductions, he may be open to sharing his space again. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with soulful eyes, gentle manners, and a heart full of love, Lando may be the perfect addition to your home.Come meet Lando, he’s ready to meet his forever person.
