Story
Personality: Affectionate, calm, loyal, patient, quiet, shy, playful, eager-to-please, and gentle. Meet calm, cuddly Dexter! He is incredibly gentle and patient — even when his seven-year-old human foster sister wants to rile him up and play. This sweet boy is house trained and crate trained. Dexter’s confidence continues to grow as he gets used to city life. He can be slow to warm up to strangers and may do best in a single-family home rather than a large apartment building. He loves other dogs and enjoys playing with friends at the dog park. He usually has a few minutes of zoomies per day and spends the rest of the time snoozing or cuddling. This wiggly boy can’t wait to meet his forever people and shower them with love. Could that be you? Apply today to meet Dexter! ____________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Learn more, see our list of dogs needing foster, and apply, https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/foster-a-city-dog.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.

Story
Hi, my name is Dora & I'm lucky to be here. My momma was found as a stray & the lady who found her was trying to be responsible, so contacted a rescue for help in getting her spayed. But then asked if they would spay her if she was already pregnant. Long story short, the lady at the rescue said she didn't want anyone to abort the babies since my momma was close to delivering, so said she would take my momma & let her have her babies first. I was born a week later & have had a wonderful, loving home & been very happy with comfy beds, fun toys, delicious treats, lots of food & fun playmates. But now, the nice lady says it's time for each of us to get our own furever homes where we will contine to be loved & cherished. Dora has not been around many children but she gets along well with everyone and loves cats. She was raised in a stress free home where everyone around her is happy! Dora has been exposed to peepee pads. But as a puppy she will not understand the change. Puppies only know where to go because that is what they are taught. In a new environment you will have to define the acceptable spots for potty times. RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England/ Virginia area and delivered in Pennsylvania, Virginia and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. To get a application please email: saveapreciouspaw@gmail.com You can also visit our website Rpacirescue.org to fill out an adoption application

Story
JUNA is a beautiful brindle girl; a Blackmouth Cur/Labrador mix who once had a family.  Sadly, her family surrendered her to a shelter because of her ongoing seizure episodes.  Everything she knew in her world fell apart; and to make matters worse, she ended up on the shelter euthanasia list.  Often, the dogs with medical needs are first on the list, and Juna was given a grim chance at survival.   We stepped in and rescued her within hours of euthanasia to give her a chance at a bright future! But because of her seizure disorder, her medications are costly and we are in need of help to get her the further testing she needs! With further evaluation and treatment, it’s possible she doesn’t have to live with these issues forever! She could be cured! Juna has a sweet demeanor and is being cared for by a wonderful foster, but she needs help to live the healthy & stable life she deserves. Adoption fee: $525, includes all shots, sterilized, heartworm negative, dewormed, flea preventative, microchip   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. The adoption policies and applications can be found at the following links: https://fancycats.org/adopt-a-cat and https://fancycats.org/adopt-a-dog. Email us at  adoption@fancycats.org for general questions about our rescued cats. Email us at dogadoptions@fancycats.org for general questions about our rescued dogs. See our calendar of adoption events at https://fancycats.org/(scroll towards bottom) You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster! Fosters are like bridges between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats and dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. Story
Hey everyone, meet JoJo! Do you love snacks? Then look no further, because this girl right here, was meant for you. Breakfast, mid-morning, lunch, mid-afternoon, dinner, midnight snacks are always welcome. This sweet girl has been in a loving home but due to a loss in the family and change in living circumstances, Miss JoJo finds herself looking for another one. She has not been around cats of small children, but has a naturally sweet disposition and gentle temperament. As a predominantly inside dog, JoJo is house trained but is used to spending time outside in a fenced yard. She has a playful personality and has played well with the other small dog that has lived with her. Please consider giving Miss JoJo a forever home to live out the best years of her life. If this sounds like the pup for you, please complete an application at https://www.saveastray.org/forms/form?formid=3635 Once the application is approved, a FaceTime will be set up for a virtual meet and greet. Since we are located in Mobile, AL, this will give you the opportunity to see the pet interact with other dogs, people, and see a bit of their personality. Transports leave every week alternating between the NE and the Great Lakes. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.
