Story
I rescued Koya over a year ago. She is full of energy, smart, and eager to learn and please. She has been professionally trained; our latest training session was July 27, 23. She is a joy to walk the neighborhood, or take on a hike, even camping. She has some anxiety, particularly separation, and could use more training around that. She has some fear reactivity and can be protective toward people, which is unpredictable. I use a muzzle anytime we will be in close quarters with people. Introducing her to new people should be slow. She has not shown reactivity toward people she is acquainted with. She gets along with other dogs, but play should be monitored as she lacks some social awareness. She requires someone who is experienced, can hold a pushy, smart dog accountable, who wants to continue training, who works from home or has a hybrid schedule. A yard or land is ideal. She would make an excellent farm dog or hunting partner with her nose, trainability, and prey drive.

Story
Gramercy has a mostly brown coat with white on his chest and paws. He has a splash of black down his back on around his snout. He is a sweet gentle dog with great manners. He enjoys life outdoors and loves to play in the yard. Gramercy would be better suited for a family with no young children. He is good with other dogs once introduced. Gramercy walks well on a leash and follows verbal cues such as stay and down. He also loves riding in the car. He will make a great companion to a active and loving family. Gramercy will do will with a family that loves high energy activities such as hiking. Gramercy is up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped and is neutered. ##1499369##

Story
FOSTER NEEDED // AT KENNEL Animal Profile: Bochy is a 4-year-old, 65 lb male Black Mouth Cur mix. He does great with his pack and he does fine meeting other dogs on and off leash, but would also do okay as the only dog in the home. He would do best in a calm environment with owners who can provide leadership; he is trainable and eager to please. Bochy is crate trained, house trained, and knows basic obedience. He loves to play with toys and balls and has a goofy personality. He is ready to go... just needs a family to call his own! Adopter Profile No apartments preferred Fenced yard preferred Other dogs OK No cats  Adoption Info: Bochy's adoption fee is $300, which includes neuter, core vaccinations, and microchip. Bochy has been examined by a veterinarian and is in good health. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible, as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization.  Animal History: Bochy had been raised from a puppy in a loving home and was surrendered by his family in Oct 2021 due to a newborn in the home, which caused him to behave more protectively to people coming into the home. Bochy was then fostered with DGS for several months, adopted in 2022 and returned 7 months later when his owner needed hip surgery. He is now in foster care in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption.  Apply Online at www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application or www.doggoneseattle.org/foster-application or email jenny@doggoneseattle.org for more info.September 26, 2023, 3:20 pm

Story
Please note that we are a TX based rescue that transports our dogs once they are adopted. ALL our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Pacaya - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life I am an athletic little lady from Central America named after the volcano where I was found!! After all of the years of running in the mountains and climbing the volcanoes of Guatemala, my ancestors have bequeathed to me superior genetics for strength and stamina!! I love to run and would make a great companion for an active individual or family that loves to hike and run!! Are you training for a 5K and need a running companion? I am your gal!! Are you and your family out hiking and exploring on the weekends? Again, you need to look no further for canine companionship! Agility training wouldn't even be fair for the other dogs in my class!! Most definitely top of my class!! But, wait, there's more!! I also enjoy sitting on the couch and watching TV with my Hoomans :) Nothing better than a belly rub and an ear scratch after a fun day of activities:) I am not overly hyper, anxious, or high strung about my running, I just enjoy it and also enjoy my time with my family!! Sleeping on my orthopedic dog bed under the fan in the bedroom sure beats the volcanic rock of my youth! Just a little about my youth; I was born on the side of the Pacaya volcano in Guatemala. I learned to survive from my Mama by politely waiting for the pizza crusts given to us by touristas from their lunches. These pizzas are actually cooked by the heat from the volcano!! Anyway, I digress. When I was about 11 months old, I found myself with a litter of puppies to raise!! I couldn't leave my puppies to follow the touristas up the volcano, so life was very hard for us at the bottom of the mountain. One day, a lady from Hay Dude Rescue came to hike the volcano with her family. I introduced myself by doing my "good dog" tricks; sit, shake hands, and don't jump up!! Through lots of red tape (including quarantine) we found ourselves at the Houston airport!! God Bless America!! We are so grateful to be here and for the love, food , and care that we receive...and it shows in our faces and our appreciative attitudes. At 18 months young and 35 svelte pounds, I am in the prime of my l life and am seeking my permanent Hooman family. I get along great with all people and dogs; with my superior intelligence, I would be a very capable therapy or family dog. I am joy filled at every aspect of life and communicate that joy through my loving nature and accommodating personality. My clear, bright eyes sparkle with intelligence and understanding; Foster Madre says I just "get it"..whatever that means!! I understand a lot of human speak and pay attention to my people and surroundings. I am friendly and outgoing with everyone that I meet. No bad manners and jumping on folks; I am a "good dog" and know how to behave myself. If you are looking for an intelligent, fun loving and funny companion, pick me!!pa
