Story
We've had Midnight since he was a kitten he was a rescue from Canton Texas. He has been inside cat all his life. We took him for all check ups, vaccines, nutured, and chipped. It breaks my heart my granddaughter had him but couldn't take him to her college dorm. I adopted him now I am moving to a senior living community and can not take my poor baby. He's a sweet boy.

Story
This is Inky and Scooby. Their previous owner couldn't keep them. So we took them in. We have had them for 6 years. They have been wonderful and loving cats. They love to be petted. And they are good with anyone. The only reason I need to find them a new home is because my grandson has developed really bad asthma since he is allergic to cats. So we have been advised not to have cats around him. So we are heartbroken about this situation, but we know they will be wonderful pets to somebody who loves cats.

Story
Chandler is solid black with beautiful gold eyes, like Bombays. He plays hard with his buddy Mousetro for short periods of time and then seeks out affection and cuddles from the foster mom. He is sweet and laid back. He would do well with someone who is home a lot. He hasn't been around dogs or young children. He has been best buddies with Mousetro since they were only weeks old, so we'd like to see them go to the same home. Chandler is currently in a foster home. If you have any questions, please email cowtownpets@gmail.com. If you are interested in applying to adopt Chandler & Mousetro, please submit an online application at cowtownpets.org. Chandler has been neutered and microchipped, shots are up-to-date, had wormer and flea prevention. The adoption fee for the pair is $170 + tax.

Story
From Tres’s foster mom, Janet: Tres is a sleek, handsome black cat with the most beautiful shiny coat and a long, lean build that gives him a little panther-like walk. He even has one tiny white spot on his belly that’s almost hidden. He’s a quieter, independent boy who likes to take his time getting comfortable, but once he trusts you, he has such a sweet side. One of my favorite moments is when he comes over for his periodic back rubs and quietly checks in for attention. Tres absolutely loves wand toys with feathers and turns into a total acrobat during playtime. He jumps, twists, spins, and puts on quite a performance trying to catch them. Watching him play is endlessly entertaining. He came from a feral mama cat that I fostered along with her kittens after they were rescued and fixed. Over time, they all became affectionate little love bugs, and Tres has continued growing into a sweet and thoughtful companion. Tres gets along well with other cats and has done fine with calmer dogs, especially smaller or older dogs that respect his space. He would probably do best in a quieter home where he has time to settle in and build trust at his own pace. He’s the kind of cat who may not demand constant attention, but once he feels safe, he becomes a really rewarding companion with a calm, gentle presence. Born 5/1/2024 At Meowtown, we don’t have a traditional, physical shelter - all of our cats live in loving foster homes. That means they are already used to real home life, and we truly know their personalities, habits, and what makes them special. They are safe, socialized, and ready to be part of a family. They’re not waiting to become housecats… they already are. They just need a house. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact my rescue family at MeowtownAR@gmail.com to arrange a visit with my foster home!

Story
Marie is a sweet, gentle cat we’ve had for almost 10 years. We found her as a 6 week old kitten in the trash, and she has always stayed very small, almost kitten-sized. She loves to knead/make biscuits, enjoys the company of other cats, and has lived peacefully with two other cats for years. She has never bitten or scratched our children and is not aggressive at all. Over the years, as we’ve had three young children, Marie has become increasingly anxious and withdrawn in our busy household. She spends much of her time hiding in corners or even in her litter box, and it feels like she’s lost a lot of her personality due to the stress and chaos of a young family environment. With an upcoming move, we worry the transition will make her even more anxious and unhappy. This has been an incredibly difficult decision, but we truly believe Marie would thrive in a quieter, calmer home, ideally with older children or no children, where she can feel safe, relaxed, and loved again.
