Story
Ember is a sweet border collie with the most loyal heart. She's a total velcro dog who'll follow her foster everywhere and just wants to be by your side. She loves her daily walks and car rides, meeting new people and at night she settles down quietly in her bed (or yours if you let her!). What makes Ember special is that she's not your typical high-energy border collie. She's got a calmer, gentler vibe while still being an active, happy girl. She's just learning what toys are and how to play with them, which is pretty adorable to watch. She walks beautifully on leash and gets along well with other dogs and has little to no prey drive. Ember would do best with someone who has border collie experience or is really dog-savvy, since she'll need an owner who understands how much these dogs love their people.

Story
Meet Screech - The Little Dog Who Chose His Person Screech's story starts at the Hondo shelter, where he was moments away from being transported out. But when he spotted Tracy, he made his feelings loud and clear - he screeched for her to take him off the van, and that's exactly what she did. This sweet boy knew he deserved a chance, and he wasn't afraid to ask for it. Screech absolutely loves people and thrives on human companionship. He's food-motivated, eager to please, and would benefit from a fun training class to help him become the best version of himself. With guidance, affection, and structure, he'll blossom into an incredible companion. What Screech wants most is a home where he can be close to his humans. He bonds deeply and loves with his whole heart. If you're looking for a loyal little shadow who chose love from the very beginning, Screech is ready to choose you next. He is located in Hondo, Texas and is available for transport to St. Petersburg, Florida. His adoption fee is $450.
