Story
Meet Milo, a loving and goofy 7-year-old Shepherd/Border Collie Mix, weighing about 45lbs. Milo was recently returned to us in very rough shape, missing lots of fur and severe skin irritation from skin infection and fleas. Our wonderful vet got him on medication and medicated baths to start his treatment, and his fur and skin has made great progress! Milo enjoys being with his people and going for walks and will even play with toys too. Understandably, since being returned, he does try to stick to staff's sides and will bark when they walk away. We are hoping once he is in loving home, with a routine, he will feel more secure. Milo has done well around other dogs so far but did live as the only dog previously.

Meet Thistle! 🐾Thistle is a 5-month-old Border Collie mix (best guess) weighing 22 lbs. This sweet and playful girl has the perfect mix of puppy fun and affectionate cuddles.Thistle loves following her people around, snuggling on the couch, and playing in the yard with other dogs. She especially enjoys chasing a ball, exploring outside, and digging through the toy bin to find her favorite soft toys and Nylabones.She has a medium energy level and would love a home where she can play, learn, and be included in family life. A fenced yard would be wonderful, but not required. She would likely do great with another playful dog, though she could also be happy as an only dog with plenty of attention.Thistle is crate trained and sleeps through the night. She is working on house training and making progress every day. She already knows sit, comes when called, and is a very smart puppy who learns quickly.She is great with other dogs, loves meeting new people, and has done well with elementary-aged children and older. Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. Found as a stray with his sisters, Sammy is an outgoing, happy and playful pup. He gets along with other dogs and strangers. He has gone on a few overnight stays and has done really well. He is learning to walk on a leash and does well in a car. He is ready for his new home.

Atlas is a possible Australian Shepherd/Terrier mix puppy that loves exploring the world around him—especially when water is involved. He’s so drawn to it that he’ll happily climb into the tub while you shower, and he’d be an excellent candidate for a boating or outdoor-loving home. Atlas is a smart, eager learner who is already practicing a long list of cues, including sit, down, stay, come, leave it, kennel, stop, fetch, go potty, go poop, and “outside” to head toward the door. He has a sweet, affectionate personality and thrives on human attention. Like most puppies his age, he explores everything and loves to chew, so puppy-proofing is important. That said, he’s very responsive—when told “off” or “leave it,” he backs away, and if he grabs something he shouldn’t, he’ll bring it to you when asked so it can be put away. He’s still learning what’s appropriate, but he’s off to a great start. Atlas is a happy, wiggly boy, especially when having his paws and ears handled. He’s currently working on learning how to “settle,” and with continued guidance and consistency, he’s sure to keep thriving. If you’re looking for a loving, curious pup with the potential to be your best adventure buddy, Atlas may be the perfect match. A fenced in yard and active family with lots of time to spend with him will be his happy place!  The adoption fee of $550 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family.
