Story
This handsome boy is called Cooper and he is a young one year, 55 pound male Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix who is gorgeous and goofy.  This boy was formerly owned by a person who let him run loose (unsafe) and he was getting in to trouble on neighbors properties as he hung out at the chicken coop and he got in to trash cans just for fun.  Cooper just wanted to have something to do!  A job ya know?  He is such a loving boy and he really is good with other dogs and adores people.  He is not cat tested but can be if needed. As you can see he needs a little spiffing up with some groomer which will happen soon.  He is a deep rich mahogany color and has the softest, long wavy fur that just makes you want to sit and pet him for a while. Cooper with all his energy and desire to do things fun, needs a fenced yard and maybe just maybe you could offer him kids and another dog to occupy hours of fun and playtime.  He is smart as he is handsome.  Learning leash manners and he is willing to obey if you do the practice every day for a while.  This boy loves life and you will love Cooper.   If interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 5, 2025, 12:03 pm

Story
This is Blue Eyed Lola and she came to our rescue as a very starved nursing momma dog with 6 puppies draining her daily while nursing.  She had been a stray with no food provided for her as she tried to keep her babies alive.  She has now put back on her weight and a tad more than needed but she is safe and loved and trying to find her new family to love.  She is a timid but extremely calm girl that is an Aussie mix with the prettiest blue eyes.  She just wants to belong to someone and her foster mom is so touched by her sweet soul and how she tries to almost be invisible in life and not be a problem.  She needs some confidence building and some training that will make her feel smart!  She is good with other dogs and very submissive to them.  She is just fine with cats and almost completely housebroken.  We love our little Blue Eyed Lola and want the rest of her life to be easy and for her to a treasured part of someone’s family or even a single person’s BFF.  She is great on a leash and rides very well in a car.  She is ready to explore life with someone that wants her to come along.  Lola will be forever grateful to have a chance to love you.  Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.  Let us know where you live:  city and state. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 18, 2025, 12:39 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Zara! I am a beautiful gray and white 3-year-old Australian Shepherd Poodle mix. While ladies typically don’t disclose their weight, I am about 50 lbs. If you are a smart and active person or couple looking to adopt a dog with a similar temperament, then we could be a great match! I love going for walks and would appreciate having someone who can incorporate that into my daily routine. Getting outside for exercise is something I enjoy, and I would also make an excellent running companion. Visiting the park or going on hikes would be a lot of fun, too! Not to brag, but I believe I'm quite a looker, and I’m confident that if you took me to the park, we would make lots of friends together. While I love people, I am not used to being around other dogs, so a dog park wouldn’t be suitable for me. However, I’m always up for hanging out where the people are! I’m also a bit too energetic for young children; I sometimes forget that I'm bigger than they are and might accidentally knock them over. It would be wonderful if someone in the household could work from home, as I am crate-trained but don't like spending long hours alone. I thrive on human interaction and am seeking a loving home.  I promise to return your love! If you would like to be considered for my forever family, please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com. Please note that an approved application and adoption fee are required. (I am currently in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.)    July 9, 2025, 8:05 pm

Story
Meet ZaZu – Your New Best Friend! *Located in Mooresville, NC *Adoption Fee: $425 *Fostered through Australian Shepherds Furever ZaZu is a two-year-old Australian Shepherd with a heart as big as his beautiful black-tri coat! This sweet and spirited boy is looking for his forever home where he can be both your adventure buddy and your snuggle partner. True to his breed, ZaZu is an active, intelligent pup who thrives with physical and mental stimulation. He walks beautifully on a leash, loves to run, and gets a huge kick out of herding his favorite big ball around the yard. When playtime’s over, he’s more than happy to cuddle up in your lap (yes—he thinks he’s a lap dog!) and soak up the affection. ZaZu is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and knows his basic commands. While he’s comfortable in his crate, he does best in a home where he’s not crated for long hours. We leave him out of his crate when we are at work and he does just fine. He also sleeps soundly outside of his crate at night and likes to snuggle in bed. ZaZu gets along wonderfully with other dogs—he’s especially fond of his foster brother, Chief—and would love a home with a doggy sibling or two. He would also do just fine as your one and only, as long as he gets the attention and activity he craves. Due to his energy level, a home with older children is ideal. ZaZu is not a fan of cats, so a feline-free home is a must. If you’re an active family or individual looking for a loyal companion with a great mix of energy and affection, ZaZu might just be your perfect match. Come meet this amazing boy and let him show you just how special he is! Meet and greets are required. Here is the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furver family.
