She is looking for a semi to active kind family with a securely fenced yard. She will enjoy having being be the only pet to be doted on in the home. She is currently in petsitters home, but small dogs stress her out with their barking. She will be fine with kind children over age of 9 yrs old. She is very affectionate with humans, loves dog beds, toys, walks and treats. She is crate trained, house trained, likes car rides, leash trained and knows commands sit and come. She just loves her humans! Great companion for someone. She was abandoned by owner when very cold. Randomly goes for a swim in the pond. Affectionate but also independent. Currently about 30 lbs. Someone will be very lucky to bring her into their family. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Story
Winnie is a simple and easy puppy to love and care for. This sweet girl will melt your heart with her amazing personality and simple love. Her young life started out rough and was found in a dump, but this did not break her. She is independent, smart, and loves to cuddle with you when it's nap time. Winnie has crazy ear days- you never know if both ears are going to be up or down or just one up or down, either way she is always cute. Winnie is very treat motivated, which has worked well for training, but takes a bit of patience as she has none when it comes to getting those treats. She gets along with other dogs and has no problems with cats. She is crate trained and housebroken in her foster home (when she gets to her forever home it may possibly take some time again). Winnie’s favorite things- bones, toys, finding rocks, and running and playing with her sister, Stevie. Winnie is love and happiness and just perfect! These sisters (Winnie and Stevie) have really bonded through their experiences and time spent together. It would be great to adopt them together, but willing to split for the right homes.
