Story
Alder is an extremely sweet, quiet, shy boy. He is the dog version of an introvert. He is gentle and sticks to himself and is great with other dogs of all sizes and with cats. He doesn't engage much with them thought as he prefers to do his own thing. He has to be the most low maintenance and chill dog I've ever had in the rescue out of hundreds of dogs. He is hesitant with people he doesn't know but never aggressive. Not an ounce of aggression. He was listed as a pit bull mix at the shelter when he was smaller and still a younger puppy but now that he is an older puppy (about a year) it's obvious that he is not a pittie but looks more like a border collie. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Winnie is a simple and easy puppy to love and care for. This sweet girl will melt your heart with her amazing personality and simple love. Her young life started out rough and was found in a dump, but this did not break her. She is independent, smart, and loves to cuddle with you when it's nap time. Winnie has crazy ear days- you never know if both ears are going to be up or down or just one up or down, either way she is always cute. Winnie is very treat motivated, which has worked well for training, but takes a bit of patience as she has none when it comes to getting those treats. She gets along with other dogs and has no problems with cats. She is crate trained and housebroken in her foster home (when she gets to her forever home it may possibly take some time again). Winnie’s favorite things- bones, toys, finding rocks, and running and playing with her sister, Stevie. Winnie is love and happiness and just perfect! These sisters (Winnie and Stevie) have really bonded through their experiences and time spent together. It would be great to adopt them together, but willing to split for the right homes.
