Story
Hello! My name is Remi. I am a one and half year old female Border Collie/Poodle mix. My original family was unable to care for me, so I was taken in by my littermates mom. Unfortunately, there’s a little too much sibling rivalry between me and my sister so things haven’t worked out quite like we’d hoped. Here are a few things I would like you to know about me: - I am loving, happy, playful, and full of energy! Ideally my new home would have a big backyard for me to play in. If not, a human that loves to go for walks everyday would be great too! - I love the doggos that live with our friends and family, but I need to be the only canine queen living in my castle. - I am VERY food motivated so learning new tricks is easy for me! - I live with two cats. They aren’t really Dog People, but I sure wish they were! - I live with two older kids and I love them to pieces! There’s so much more I could tell you about, but I’m out of room here! Mom is more than happy to chat, just reach out!

Story
Bartleby here! I’m guessed to be about one year old & a border collie mix, & I’ve topped out at about 55lbs. Mom says I’m a very good boy. I sleep quietly through the night, & my manners are impeccable. I get along with my doggy foster siblings - all various sizes & personalities. I don’t live with any cats, but I’ve had interactions with them & am very respectful. I’ll do best in a home with kids over 10 or younger ones who know to be patient with me as I’m a very shy boy until I warm up. Another dog is preferred for me - I always look to my foster siblings to tell me what to do in a new situation & they help me feel more confident - but it’s not required for the right fit. My new family will need to be patient as I come out of my shell, but the reward is worth the wait. I’m the sweetest boy and love being near my people. I’m looking for a very special family who is willing to go at my pace instead of forcing me to go at theirs. I need a calm home where I can feel safe & continue building my confidence on my time. If this sounds like you, apply today!DATCP# 483538

Story
Description of the Pet Who’s looking for some fun and adventure? I’m a two year old 45 lb. Border Collie/Aussie mix who is full of energy! I’m gentle and very smart, but I need some training, another dog to play with (and learn from), and a big safely fenced yard to run in. (A safely fenced yard is required--not an "invisible" fence or a tie-out.) I’m totally vetted (shots, heartworm, microchipped, dewormed, and neutered) and would love to sign up for a beginning obedience class so that I can learn lots of new things. Because I’m so active, I don’t want to be a latch key dog so an adopter who works from home, is retired, or works just part time would be the best fit for me. My adoption fee is $275, and—if I do say so myself—I’m worth every penny! HERE IS WHAT BUCKY'S FOSTER MOM WROTE ABOUT HIM: "Bucky is a sweet, loving dog who is potty trained and does great in both his kennel and his car. He is great on a leash. He has no signs of food aggression or resource guarding. He is pretty spunky in the mornings or if he has been in his kennel for a couple hours while we are away. After a walk or some play time outside he is then happy to lay around on a dog bed, in his kennel, or in the sunshine somewhere else. He does not know what a personal bubble is and loves to be loved! We have, however, learned in his time with us that he can exhibit herding behaviors, which is not uncommon for his breed. He has never done it to the immediate family and we feel he would be great with “his people” but will need to be watched/worked with when there are guests in the home. I would also recommend that if there are children in the house, that they be of an age that understands not grabbing at him. We feel he should not be his forever family’s first dog and they should be willing to work with him on this behavior. He is good with other dogs, but again should be watched for herding behaviors with them. Bucky has learned how to sit but is still working on some other basic commands and will need some work on his manners (jumping, pulling things off the counter, etc). He is treat motivated so this will help in his training. He needs to be leashed when not in a fenced area as he is still working on his recall commands. He is not a runner, but likes to check out all the new smells he can. " INTERESTED IN BUCKY? If so please write to his present foster family at: sylvialovesme@gmail.com and tell them a little about yourself—your daily schedule, about your other family members (including other pets), etc. Then, if his foster mom feels that both parties would be a good fit for each other, she will e-mail you an adoption application to fill out, after which time we can all do a meet-and-greet. Personality traits Affectionate, Playful, Smart, Athletic, Friendly
