Story
Chase is an adorable 14-week-old male Boston Terrier mix puppy, weighing 11.5 pounds of love and sweetness. As a small breed puppy, he has plenty of puppy energy and loves to play with stuffed toys, bones, and balls. Chase is friendly with everyone he meets and is fantastic with children. He gets along well with other friendly dogs, although he does need some time to warm up. Currently, he is in a foster home with two larger dogs, and he enjoys being around them, often found sleeping in a dog bed near theirs. Chase loves being around his loved ones and would thrive in a home with a yard where he can run to his heart's content. He is the perfect compact size and makes a great lap puppy. Incredibly smart, he learns quickly and will be an amazing addition to any loving family looking to welcome a beautiful Boston Terrier mix puppy. Chase has received two rounds of puppy vaccinations, deworming, a comprehensive fecal test, a wellness exam, and he is microchipped. Puppy Chase is packed with his favorite toys and bed and is excited for fun adventures with his forever family. If you're interested in adopting Chase, please fill out an application at www.doggiebonez.com. You can also check out our social media pages on Instagram (@Doggie_Bonez_Inc_) and Facebook (Doggie Bonez) to see more of Chase's cuteness. Indie is a wonderful and loving dog. Unfortunately she no longer gets along with our older Boston Terrier and continues to bite him. She needs a home without other animals.

Story
Meet KIWI — Your Next Best Friend! Looking for a love bug who’ll steal your heart in seconds? Kiwi is here, and he’s ready to sweep you off your feet! At 10 years old, Kiwi is living proof that age is just a number. He's full of energy, joy, and, most of all, love. His foster family says he’s “the best foster Boston Terrier yet,” with a heart of gold that will melt anyone’s heart. Kiwi loves playing with his toys, keeps a brisk pace on walks, and has a personality that belies his age. He's the perfect blend of fun and affectionate! A true social butterfly, Kiwi is an expert at making friends with everyone he meets, especially humans. He’s also good with female dogs, though he prefers to be the only male pup in the house. Kiwi’s not a fan of crates, but being the gentleman he is, he’s perfectly well-behaved indoors—no crate necessary! He’s house-trained, knows his basic commands, and loves nothing more than cuddling up in bed, whether under the covers or on top. (You’ll find him snuggled up, snoozing quietly next to you in no time.) While Kiwi’s got plenty of pep in his step, he’s also a laid-back lap sitter and a loyal shadow. He’s the quintessential Boston Terrier—loud and proud when it comes to chasing squirrels but always sweet and ready to share kisses! Kiwi recently had a small mass removed from his back leg. The good news? It was fully removed with clean margins, and he’s healed wonderfully! Kiwi is happy, healthy 20 lbs of love. Kiwi’s hoping to find a forever home that’ll let him be their Valentine this year. If you’re ready to give this sweet boy a place to call home, fill out an adoption application today at Bostonbuddies.org. Kiwi’s adoption fee is $300, and we promise you’ll gain so much love in return.June 17, 2025, 10:33 pm

Story
BRAMBLE— Sweet as can be, our boy BRAMBLE is in need of a FOSTER or FUREVER family, and hopefully ASAP! Our bodacious 29lb boy was broken free from the SEACCA Shelter where he came in with a ruptured eye, some patchy fur on his backside, and was sadly put on red flag alert. Our volunteers responded swiftly and swooped our deserving dude right up! Although he was terrified, in pain, and completely confused, benevolent Bramble tried to give our volunteer sweet smooches the entire ride to the vet. Resilient and ready to get on with his good life ahead, Bramble has had his eye removed, was neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. The veterinary staff can’t get enough of our guy and have only goodness to report back to us—Bramble has been non reactive to the dogs in the back, has been an overall well mannered guest, a good listener, and seems to catch on quickly. A young boy, Bramble is anywhere from 3-5 years old with a zest for life, but calms down quickly..the very best of both worlds! We cannot wait to see how Bramble blossoms, learns, and gains confidence in his FOSTER or FUREVER family! Bramble is patiently waiting at the vet and cannot wait to be your foster or furever pet! You can’t change Bramble’s past, but you certainly can rewrite his future! Please fill out a FOSTER or ADOPTION application for BRAMBLE on our website April 14, 2025, 11:09 pm

Story
Meet Iris: A One-of-a-Kind Survivor Looking for Her Forever Home Back in February, the San Diego Humane Society took in a skinny little Boston Terrier in desperate need of help. Estimated to be around 8 years old, she was fragile, hurting, and in rough shape. The shelter staff lovingly named her Iris, and they did far more than most shelters are able to. They removed her bulging eye, spayed her, removed mammary masses, microchipped her, and brought her up to date on all her vaccinations. But Iris needed even more care—care that required a specialist. You see, Iris became our third dog this year needing a total ear canal ablation (TECA) due to years of untreated, painful ear infections. Her ears were so damaged that both needed surgical removal of the canals. Once she recovered from her initial surgeries, we took her to Veterinary Specialty Hospital (VSH), where specialists scheduled her for TECA surgery on her left ear, which was in the worst condition. Her recovery, unfortunately, was anything but smooth. The infection in her ear was resistant to every antibiotic they tried. Her foster family made several trips back to the hospital, but despite everyone's best efforts, the infection wouldn’t clear. Eventually, her left ear had to be completely removed. With her left eye and left ear both gone, you might expect Iris to be crushed in spirit—but not this girl. Iris is a fighter. She is resilient, gentle, and full of love. Once she’d regained strength, the doctors moved forward with surgery on her right ear. The recovery this time was also challenging. She suffered from vestibular issues—her balance was off, her head tilted, and for a while, she couldn’t stand without falling or walking in circles. It took a week for her to start walking normally again. Then the stubborn infection returned, causing the sutures on her ear to reopen. Her ear had to be flushed and treated again. But Iris never gave up—and neither did we. After more than a month of healing, her e-collar finally came off. She was so happy to be free from the “cone of shame.” Today, her balance is back, and she walks just fine—though her head still tilts slightly, which honestly just adds to her charm. Through all of this, Iris has remained nothing but sweet, patient, and loving. Despite everything she’s endured, she still responds to sound—her hearing is similar to what we experience underwater, and she picks up on vibrations. She’s currently in a loving foster home with other dogs, and she gets along wonderfully with her canine siblings. She’s doggie door trained, rides great in the car, and has no bad habits—no jumping on people or furniture, no chewing, and no digging. Our one-eyed, one-eared princess is truly a unique treasure. She has overcome more in a few months than most dogs do in a lifetime—and yet she continues to love with her whole heart. So now, Iris is ready for her next chapter. Could that be with you? Are you looking for a special companion with a story of resilience, strength, and endless love? Do you want to give a deserving dog the life of luxury, comfort, and affection she so richly deserves? If so, please head over to our website and complete an application to adopt Iris - https://www.bostonbuddies.org/adoption-application/ Adoption Donation: $300   View more photos on our Facebook page  https://www.facebook.com/BostonBuddiesInc June 15, 2025, 10:09 pm

Story
Meet Bonnie and Baxter – Two Sweet Seniors in Search of a Rescue Angel Bonnie and Baxter have lost the person they loved most, and now they need someone like you to help them feel safe, cherished, and at home again. These two gentle seniors—Bonnie (12 years old, 12 lbs) and Baxter (14 years old, 25 lbs)—recently lost their owner and were left with nowhere to go. When no family or friends could take them in, a kind-hearted friend sent out a plea to the community. Thankfully, Boston Buddies heard the call and rushed in to help. Now we’re looking for a Permanent Foster Home where Bonnie and Baxter can spend their golden years surrounded by warmth and love. As a permanent foster, Boston Buddies covers all expenses—food, medicine, supplements, vet care, beds, you name it. All you need to provide is the heart and home. These two have been through a lot. Their coats are dry and flaky, their nails long, their ears dirty, and poor Baxter had an eye infection when he came in. We suspect their care may have slipped as their owner faced health challenges of their own. Baxter is currently stiff and slow-moving—likely from arthritis—so we’ve started him on medication and supplements to ease his pain. Bonnie is spry and walks well on a leash, but both dogs are tired and sleep most of the day, no doubt recovering from the stress and upheaval of recent events. They’re currently in boarding at a vet hospital, but what they really need is a soft place to land. A cozy bed. A quiet corner. A kind hand. A loving voice. They don’t ask for much—just a little time, a little love, and a warm spot to rest their heads. They may be older, but they still have so much love to give. And as they say about senior dogs: It’s not about how much time you have left together—it’s about how much love you can fit into every moment. If you have room in your heart and home to help Bonnie and Baxter live out their days in comfort and peace, please email us at contactus@bostonbuddies.org. Let’s give these sweet souls the happy ending they deserve.   View more photos on our facebook page  https://www.facebook.com/BostonBuddiesInc June 17, 2025, 10:33 pm
