Meet Zeke – The Best Boy Ever, Ready for His Furever Home! Zeke is a 1½-year-old, 23 lb. Boston/Frenchie(?) mix with a heart as big as his smile! This brave little guy came to us after being rescued from an abuse situation that left him with a badly fractured leg. Thankfully, Zeke was confiscated from his abuser and received orthopedic surgery to repair the injury. Now fully healed and thriving, Zeke is ready to start the happy new chapter he so deserves. Okay, we’ll admit it — Zeke isn’t a purebred Boston Terrier. But when the shelter called asking for help, we didn’t hesitate for a second. We’ve even sent off his DNA test (because everyone’s dying to know!), and guesses so far include Boston, Frenchie, Dachshund, Chihuahua, GSD, and maybe a little Pug — that fabulous tail is a clue! Stay tuned for the big reveal. Zeke has been the perfect house guest in his foster home. He mastered the doggie door in no time, does his business like a gentleman, and tucks himself into his crate at bedtime without a fuss. On walks, he’s a total pro — though he might pull a little just to greet new friends. Zeke LOVES other dogs and is hoping for a home with a young, playful pup to match his energy. His favorite game is chase — both running after and being chased — and his zoomies are legendary! Picture an aerodynamic blur zipping across the grass (or the living room during TV time). When he’s not zooming, Zeke’s an affectionate snuggle bug who’ll happily curl up beside you — or on your shoulders — for belly rubs and cuddles. He’s also perfectly happy chewing on a bully stick while you get some work done. He’s learning commands, food-motivated, eager to please, and always ready for new adventures. Zeke is the kind of dog who can go anywhere and make friends everywhere. Zeke is healthy, fully vaccinated, neutered (check out his green tattoo!), and microchipped. Meet Gus – A Sweet Senior Looking for a Loving Home Formerly known as Shadow, Gus may look familiar — and that’s because he’s already touched hearts before! This charming 12-year-old Boston Terrier first came to Boston Buddies from the OC shelter about a year ago and was quickly adopted by a loving older couple. He enjoyed a happy life filled with love and companionship. Sadly, Gus’s world changed when his beloved dad passed away and his mom’s health no longer allowed her to care for him. Now, Gus is looking for a second chance at forever — a new family who has room in their heart for a gentle, older gentleman. Gus is the definition of easygoing. He loves lounging around the house and is perfectly content with a peaceful day followed by a leisurely evening walk. He’s great on a leash (unless a cheeky squirrel crosses his path!), sleeps quietly through the night in his crate, and is fully house-trained — he even uses a doggie door like a pro. Gus gets along well with other dogs and enjoys meeting new friends on his walks. He hasn’t met any cats, but he’s very interested in the birds and squirrels in his foster home's yard — so a home without small, fast-moving critters might be best! He’s a big fan of mealtime — especially important now that he's on a special hepatic diet to support his liver health. He also has a bit of seasonal itchiness that’s easily managed with a Cytopoint shot every few months. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED – DOUBLE THE LOVE! Meet Libre & Nacho – two sweet, silly, and snuggly Boston Terrier brothers looking for a soft place to land! Less than a week ago, we got an urgent call from the West LA shelter about Libre – a young Boston boy who had just come in as a stray and had a seizure during his intake exam. The shelter needed him out that day before they closed. Of course, we said YES – and thanks to an amazing volunteer, not only did Libre get picked up, but his adorable brother Nacho came along for the ride too! These boys are now safe and sound at our vet hospital in Anaheim, where they've been recovering like champs. Libre hasn’t had another seizure since arriving (yay!), though we can’t say for sure that he won’t have more in the future. He’s also had surgery to remove a congenital eye deformity – but don’t worry, it hasn’t slowed him down one bit! Both boys are now neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped – ready to take on the world (or at least your couch ). Libre and Nacho are estimated to be about 1 to 1.5 years old and are as sweet as they come. Libre weighs 18 lbs and Nacho weighs 12 lbs. Our volunteer says they’re total LOVE BUGS – affectionate, friendly, and very bonded. They’d love to stick together in their next chapter, whether that’s with a foster family or their forever one. Emmett is a love bug! He's very sweet, gentle, timid, cautious, and calm. He sometimes wants to play but can’t play for long because he coughs when excited. He loves following his person around, always, and sitting next to you on the sofa. He gets so happy when he gets attention. When you call his name, he wags his tail immediately and climbs all over you, rubbing his body on you. Emmett is a good listener. If you tell him, "No, Emmett," he'll stop whtever he's doing and look at you apologetically. Emmett is trained on the pee pad and can potty outside but may need reinforcement in a new home. Emmett occasionally marks if other dogs are in the house. Emmett only barks during meal prep and when his human returns home. Not alpha. Gets along well with other dogs but prefers the company of people. He's independent and doesn’t care about other dogs. He would be better in a home without other dogs but can live with other dogs. When held and another dog comes near, he tries to nip. Emmett can be left home alone for hours, but he cries or howls for a few minutes and then falls asleep. Emmett doesn’t like being alone for long periods, so we hope his future family will spend plenty of time with him. Originally found as a stray, we rescued Emmet in October 2024 from a high-kill shelter in Korea. Health considerations: Emmett has bronchial stenosis (narrow airway), which can cause him to cough, especially when excited or after eating. He’s sensitive to temperature, dry air, & poor air quality, but since he’s been in the US, he’s been doing very well. He would do well with a humidifier, nebulizer, supplements, and weight control to manage his airway — although we haven’t needed to use these tools since he’s been in the US. He has lichenification in his ears & feet, a thickening & wrinkling of skin from chronic rubbing, scratching or licking. You should clean Emmett’s ears and feet with disinfectant regularly. Emmett is currently fostered in Los Angeles, CA. We adopt out of state! You just have to travel to him to pick him up.

Theo is an 8-year-old purebred French Bulldog with a friendly, affectionate personality. I’ve had him since he was a puppy, and he’s been a loyal and loving companion ever since. He’s house-trained, healthy, and still quite active for his age — he loves walks, playtime, and being around people. I’m sadly looking to rehome Theo because my work now requires frequent, long-term travel, and I can’t give him the consistent care and attention he deserves. I’ve tried to place him with family and friends, but no one is able to take him in at this time. Theo would do best in a home where someone is around often and can give him lots of love and companionship. He’s great with people, gentle, and easy to have around. He truly just wants to be part of a family again.
