Meet Our Boston Terrier Crew! Six adorable Boston Terriers recently joined our rescue after being saved from a breeder who no longer wanted to care for them when they didnt sell. Thankfully, our team stepped in to give them the safety and love they deserved. Now, these sweet pups are thriving in foster homes and ready to start the next chapter of their lives as cherished family members! Though their beginnings werent easy, these Bostons are blossoming every day. Theyre playful, affectionate, and soaking up all the attention they can get. They love toys, belly rubs, and hanging close to their people. As with all rescue dogs, theyll need patient adopters who can give them time to adjust and show them what it means to be truly loved. A Few Important Notes: Adoption Area: We only adopt to families living in Illinois, Wisconsin, or states that directly border either IL or WI. Renters: If you rent, please have your landlord contact us directly at mallorytsherwood@gmail.com to confirm that dogs are allowed in your home. Adoption Fee: $800, which includes microchip, current vaccines and boosters, deworming, and spay/neuter at our rescue vet. Using Your Own Vet: If you prefer to complete the spay/neuter with your own vet, well reimburse $100 once proof of procedure is provided. This must be done before 6 months of age, and adopters will sign a contract agreeing to this. Hi, I`m Dionne! A 7-month-old, ~25 lb Boston Terrier mix. My foster mom says that I am going to make some family super lucky one day. I am basically the most perfect pup you could ask for! Personality:Dionne may start off a little cautious with new people, but once she feels safe, she becomes an affectionate, loyal little shadow. She’s a pro snuggler, gives excellent kisses, and enjoys short bursts of playful energy before settling in for cuddles. She loves; walks, scratches, toys, treats, bones, and even chasing her own tail.Training & House Manners:- Potty trained — we are even working on bell training, so that she rings a bell to let you know she needs to go out- Sleeps through the night quietly in her crate and keeps it clean- Crate trained during the workday — relaxes calmly while her foster parents are away- SUPER SMART and treat-motivated which makes her eager to please/learn, she already knows “sit”, `lay`, `paw`, `high five` and more!- Good on leash and loves getting out for walks and enjoys all the smells- Loves scratches and will melt in your lap if you hit the right spotGood with dogs and kids, but too excited for cats! Looking for a little dog with a whole lot of heart? Meet Ian! Ian is a 1.5-year-old black and white sweetheart who proves every day that a rough start does not define your future. This pint-sized boy previously suffered a hip injury, which has healed beautifully, and his happy, playful spirit never missed a beat. Ian is fun, boisterous, and full of contagious joy. He loves attention, enjoys romping around with his toys, and is always ready for a cuddle when playtime winds down. He does well with other dogs and would make a wonderful addition to a home with canine friends. Ian also loves his food and is happily not picky. He eats from a slow-feeder bowl to help him enjoy his meals at a healthy pace and aid digestion. Medical Transparency (the important but reassuring part): Ian has Diabetes Insipidus, which is not the same as diabetes mellitus. This condition affects how his body concentrates urine and has nothing to do with blood sugar. • Oral medication only — no shots or injections • Takes medication twice daily to maintain healthy urine concentration and support full bladder emptying • Medication may be lifelong or temporary, depending on future veterinary guidance • Medication cost can vary depending on the veterinarian or pharmacy • Needs frequent potty breaks Ian does wonderfully on his routine and is otherwise a happy, active, affectionate young dog.
