Ian's hip has healed but he is on daily meds for a medical condition, Diabetes insipidus. Despite it all, Ian is fun, boisterous, and full of playful energy that is absolutely contagious. Ian may be small, but he has a big love for life. He thrives on attention and is constantly looking for a game of seek with his toys or a good cuddle session. He plays well with other dogs, making him a great potential new sibling for your current furry friend. When it comes to his favorite things, toys rank high on the list, and food is right up there too; he's happily not picky about his meals... He eats from a slow feeder bowl to make sure he doesn't get too overzealous with his meals and is able to digest well. Ian is looking for a loving home where his joyful personality can shine and he can get the care and affection he deserves. I am a cute, very friendly dog . l was found by a vet tech in Alabama, eating out of the trash at a local car dealership by the clinic.  I was vetted down south, and tested positive for heartworm. I have recently been treated. But I am currently on restricted activity (no long walks or rough play) while I recover from heartworm for the next couple of months. I get along with the dogs in her foster home. I am people and children friendly. I enjoy entertaining myself with my toys and like to rest on a couch or dog bed when I get tired. I enjoy a yard to explore and going on short walks. Meet Our Boston Terrier Crew! Six adorable Boston Terriers recently joined our rescue after being saved from a breeder who no longer wanted to care for them when they didnt sell. Thankfully, our team stepped in to give them the safety and love they deserved. Now, these sweet pups are thriving in foster homes and ready to start the next chapter of their lives as cherished family members! Though their beginnings werent easy, these Bostons are blossoming every day. Theyre playful, affectionate, and soaking up all the attention they can get. They love toys, belly rubs, and hanging close to their people. As with all rescue dogs, theyll need patient adopters who can give them time to adjust and show them what it means to be truly loved. A Few Important Notes: Adoption Area: We only adopt to families living in Illinois, Wisconsin, or states that directly border either IL or WI. Renters: If you rent, please have your landlord contact us directly at mallorytsherwood@gmail.com to confirm that dogs are allowed in your home. Adoption Fee: $800, which includes microchip, current vaccines and boosters, deworming, and spay/neuter at our rescue vet. Using Your Own Vet: If you prefer to complete the spay/neuter with your own vet, well reimburse $100 once proof of procedure is provided. This must be done before 6 months of age, and adopters will sign a contract agreeing to this. This is what Tommy’s foster had to say about this lovely boy: “Tommy may have some white hairs, but his heart is pure gold and he’s got a new lease on life! He may move a little slower thanks to a leg injury, but that doesn’t stop him from enjoying the simple pleasures—a soft spot on the couch and all the cuddles you can give him. He needs a lift getting up and down, but he’s 100% worth it 🩵 Tommy is the perfect house guest—no accidents, great with routines, and totally chill indoors. But be warned: if there’s a cat litter box in sight, he’ll be in it if you aren’t watching 😅You’ll only hear a bark when he needs to go out earlier than his regularly scheduled potty break. He’s not a fan of stairs, but we’ve got him set up with a ramp, and he’s doing great with it. He loves a car ride, but needs help getting in and out. When it comes to food, Tommy’s a bit of a picky piggy 🐷 Purina Pro Plan beef & rice dry food paired with beef & veggies wet food is his go-to. It’s easy to sneak his daily pill (for his leg pain) into his food. He's friendly with other dogs and cats and is the perfect companion for anyone looking for an easy-going, lovable dog. While he’s not always in the mood for playtime, he does still get zoomies, like to play with his mini tennis ball, and enjoys a good sniff around outside. Tommy is a little stubborn but so full of love. After everything he’s been through, he deserves the very best.
