Story
Sending lots of hugs and kisses to XO while he waits for his final home. XO dreams of a quiet home where he can bond with a soulmate, where his calm companionship will be valued, and where his gentle love for you will deepen and grow. XO's many years have taught him the value of family and friends. He is seeking his last home where he can treasure his new family and make new friends. XO is approved for kids and grandkids age 5 and over and he may do well with other dogs in his new home with a slow introduction. XO checks off all your boxes, too. He recently spent a 3-night sleepover with one of our foster couples in their Sun City home. They discovered that XO is a sweet, gentle, and loving companion. He met their neighbor's dogs on the first morning and enjoyed his daily morning walks with these dogs. He even play-bowed and flirted with the younger dog, proving this old dog can make new friends. XO is 100% house-trained, he went potty in the backyard and also on his neighborhood walks. He enjoys cuddling on the sofa, going for car rides, sunning himself in the backyard, and meeting new people. XO was well-behaved in the car, enjoying sniffing the air when the window was rolled down a few inches. He easily hopped into the back seat of the car. XO slept through the night curled up at the foot of the bed, and also used the dog bed in the bedroom. Indoors, he is an easy, low-energy dog with polite indoor manners - no counter surfing, and no trying to eat the family's snacks while they were all seated on the sofa. ***Check out my video by clicking "play" under my photos!***Adoption Fee: WaivedMonthly Promo Applies

Story
Meet Dexter, a dog with a heart full of love and loyalty. Dexter's independent spirit means he's perfectly content to entertain himself, but he also cherishes the company of his human friends. His friendly nature makes him a joy to be around, always eager to make new friends. Dexter's mellow demeanor ensures he's a calming presence in any home, providing a sense of tranquility that's truly comforting. Despite his independent streak, Dexter's loyalty is unwavering. He's the kind of dog who'll be by your side, no matter what. His friendly, loyal, and mellow nature makes him a wonderful companion. Dexter deserves a loving home where he can continue to share his warmth and affection. Give Dexter the chance to bring his unique blend of independence, friendliness, and loyalty into your life. Adopt Dexter and let his mellow, friendly spirit fill your home with love and companionship. Dexter is still learning how to politely share his treats so we recommend that any children in his new home are age 10 or older. He may do well with other dogs in his new home after a slow introduction.Adoption fee: WaivedMonthly Promotion Applies

Story
Hi I'm Miso!I am a very handsome guy who is moderately energetic. I love to go on walks and hang out with people. I love people and love affection. I would do best in a home with no small children. They are a bit unpredictable and frighten me. I get along well with dogs but can be selective at times. I love to snuggle my blankets and would love to curl up on your couch and watch TV. I am a great dog who unfortunately found myself here at the shelter at no fault of my own. Since I have been here for a little while I am becoming a bit stressed and would prefer to stay outside with the volunteers all day long instead of going back to my kennel. I love to run around and frolic in the pasture with the volunteers. If you are looking for a solid companion I'm your guy! please stop by the shelter and ask the staff for a meet and greet!April 25, 2024, 6:09 pm

Story
A sweet, easy energy girl. A nice medium size. Walks easily on leash.Polly Pocket is lovable and cuddly and a little mischievous. She loves giving and receiving hugs and kisses and loves her belly rubs. She has a real sense of FOMO and will follow you around the house to make sure she knows what’s going on! She loves going on long walks and meeting new people. Everyone who meets her thinks she’s sweet and adorable. It could be because she rarely barks. She is still learning how to play well with other dogs so she may do better in a home where she is the only dog. Recently she made friends with an younger large breed dog and may just prefer bigger dogs. Here`s a video of her meeting some social dogs at our shelter:You may email the foster parents at stillensj@gmail.com for more stories, information and pictures and to set up a meet and greet.
