Story
This is Hank. He is a stray that showed up on our back porch several months ago. Vet said he is anywhere from 2-4 years old. Boxer mix. We planned on keeping him but unfortunately him and our other male dog do not get along ever since we’ve brought our newborn home. It has become too risky having them coexist while I’m home alone with the baby during the week. He needs to be the only dog in his forever home unless he receives some training from the new owner. He is very clingy, energetic and protective. He’s potty/crate trained and vaccinated. We are desperate to find him the perfect home but are running out of time and options.

We suggest follow-up intestinal worming two weeks after adoption.  We require monthly heartworm preventive after adoption!Zeke is the most handsome fellow!  He was bottle-fed, his mother rejected him, but he was given everything he needed.  He is a thriving, happy guy who is all about play, toys, and affection!  He was fostered with children, and is gentle with them.  His activity level is medium, but he does like to curl up on the couch to watch a movie with his family. He will help with yard chores and loves to go on walking adventures.  Great hiking buddy! He is smart and easily trained. Sits on command, and great on the leash.   He is not aggressive at all.  Zeke is a special dog!!                                  'We Are Rescue' Until you have held a tiny puppy in your arms as it kissed your face with slobbery puppy breath and felt the love, Until you have held an injured or severely ill dog in your arms and felt their pain, Until you have looked into the eyes of a tired aging senior dog and felt their wisdom, And until you have seen and understood the look in your dogs eyes that tell you their time on earth with you is over .... and you humanely let them go, You will never understand the life of a rescuer.
