WHITNEY ~~ Spayed Female, Boxer Mix, 54 pounds, DOB: 9/3/2013 Are you a fan of senior pets who are looking for a great place to retire. Look no further and come and meet this special senior lady. Whitney was found near a dog park in Roswell. Her skin was in terrible shape, but with the medical care she deserves, she has turned completely around and is ready to live her best life. That's where you come in. Whitney is an angel and doesn't know what a stranger is. She is happy, friendly, social, outgoing and enjoys being with and around people. She loves to be pet and fussed over, is pretty good on the leash and would enjoy a nice fenced backyard to sunbathe and run around in. She may even enjoy the occasional car ride to help you with all of your errands. Whitney will need to be the only pet at home. She is reactive towards other dogs and seems to want all of the attention to herself. She also requests some comfy beds and fun toys to play with...and some yummy treats! Her adoption fee includes a one month supply of Simparica Trio (for heartworms, fleas, ticks and intestinal parasites). She's healthy, up to date on vet services and is microchipped. Whitney is currently eating a diet that is designed to support her sensitive skin (Purina HA, Hydrolized Protein, or Z/D). Whitney is eligible for our Senior for Seniors Adoption Program ~~ if adopted by a senior citizen, we will waive her adoption fee and give her owner 20% off vet services, food, medications for the remainder of her life. To meet this sweet and loving senior, come visit and see if this she is a good match for you! Crabapple Knoll Vet Clinic, 12604 Crabapple Road, Alpharetta, GA. 770.475.8272. Weekdays 630AM to 7PM. Saturday and Sunday 8AM to 4PM. Closed on all major holidays. Please visit at least two hours prior to closing.

ROSS ~~ Boxer Mix, Fawn and White, Neutered Male, 68 pounds, DOB: 12/27/2021 Ross is smart, playful, and very curious. While he's working on his basic skills like walking on a leash and not jumping up, he's proved that he's a pretty smart and handsome guy! Someone abandoned Ross on Mansell Road and left him to fend for himself on a very busy road. Filthy, needing vet services and love, he ended up at Crabapple Knoll. Now, he needs you to provide him with a forever home and lots of love, treats, hugs and kisses! Ross is a sweet guy who would do best with an active couple or family with older children. Since he could use some basic leash and obedience training (nobody's perfect, after all), he may not be the best candidate around younger kids ~~ he tends to jump up in excitement. Ross is a high energy guy who would love his own fenced backyard to run around and play in. He would definitely benefit from some extended playtime or walks with his new people. Do you have some cool toys or maybe even a pool, like to go for hikes or go running? Even better! Ross is very food motivated and should thrive in the right hands. Ross was recently neutered and microchip, has gotten a clean bill of health from our amazing doctors and is now waiting to meet you and find his forever home. Give this sweet and handsome guy a second chance at a great new life! Ross has been reactive to cats and other dogs while in our care. He would need to be the only pet in your home, since he seems to want all of the attention and love. Ross doesn't think this is too much to ask and is looking for that special one-on-one, exclusive relationship with his favorite people! Ross will come home with one month of heartworm, flea and tick preventative. He is healthy and up to date on vet services. He has a negative heartworm test and fecal. Adoption fee is $130. To meet Ross and see if he is your perfect match, come and meet him at Crabapple Knoll Vet Clinic, 12604 Crabapple Road, Alpharetta, GA. 770.475.8272. Monday to Friday 630AM to 7PM, Saturday and Sunday 8AM to 4PM. Closed on all major holidays.

Story
Introducing this awesome and sweet boy named Trevor! Trevor landed at the shelter through no fault of his own on 2/27. His former owner was moving and was not taking Trevor. Our hearts break in a million pieces for this awesome baby. The volunteers are making him feel welcomed and loved and wanted as much as possible. Trevor loves the volunteers and the affection he is receiving. Trevor is extremely sweet and is pretty calm despite being placed in a loud, overcrowded shelter. He is confused because his world has completely turned upside down. Trevor is very well behaved, housebroken and is great with kids! That is awesome news!! He is hoping to find another loving person soon that will take the time to keep him safe and sound in his new home. He is super intelligent as he knows how to sit pretty well, stay and down using voice and hand signals and he may know more. He is eager to please and a natural at learning new things. He will work for his treats and takes them so gently. Trevor would love to have the opportunity to have a good, loving family that will make him feel welcomed and loved. He is a very handsome fellow with a heart full of love and more than ready to share that love with you. He is a baby, and babies need nurturing, patience, guidance and lots of love. He needs you to be in his corner now more than ever. Trevor is current on vaccines, tested negative for heart worms, will be neutered and micro chipped before his adoption. Trevor weighs in at 63 pounds and he is just 1.5 years old. You will find Trevor is patiently waiting for you to be his guardian angel in Run 835. Trevor's ID# is 653914. Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we don't know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. Story
🐾 Hello, wonderful humans! My name is Lyfe, and I'm here to share my story in hopes of finding my forever home with someone as special as you. I may be just 8 months old, but my heart is full of love and longing for a family to call my own. With my charming and unique white and black coat, I stand out in any crowd at a perfect 48 pounds. My journey has been filled with ups and downs. You see, I've had the same family for all of my short life. Adopted at 2 months old, I thought I had found my forever home. But now, at just 8 months old, they've decided they weren't as ready for a dog as they thought. It breaks my heart, but I'm not giving up hope. I may be a little shy and timid, shaking with fear in this unfamiliar shelter environment, but deep down, I know there's a loving family out there just waiting to show me the kindness and patience I deserve. While I'm not spayed yet, that's a small detail that'll be taken care of upon adoption. And all my shots are up to date, so you can rest assured that I'm a healthy and happy pup ready to embark on a new chapter of my life. I may be scared of loud noises and sudden movements, but I promise to shower you with love and loyalty like you've never experienced before. I'll sit for treats, and with your gentle guidance, I know I'll blossom into the confident and brave dog I was always meant to be. You can find me trembling but hopeful in cage #19, and my ID is 653690. Please, won't you come meet me and give me the chance to show you just how much love I have to give? Together, we can turn my tale of sadness into one of joy and happiness. 🐾 Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. Story
This handsome dude is Deano! He arrived at the shelter as a lost boy on 2/1, and no one has come to reclaim him. The volunteers describe Deano as friendly, playful, and energetic! He comes off as a bit shy at first, but he warms up quickly. This may be due to the loud, overwhelming shelter environment. We're sure when he's in a loving home he'll open up! Deano does sit nicely for treats when asked. If you're looking for a new best friend to join you on hikes, runs, and all of life's adventures then Deano may be your guy! Deano is approximately 1 year old, and he weighs 45 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, now neutered, and will be microchipped and heartworm tested upon adoption. Please come meet Deano in run 831; his ID # is 653386. Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. Story
Meet handsome Zeus! He was surrendered to the shelter on 1/31 due to his family having financial problems and not being able to care for him any longer. They did tell us that Zeus is house-trained, good with kids, and good with other dogs. They mentioned that he knows lots of commands, but the volunteers could only get him to sit. Maybe he's just overwhelmed in his new surroundings. The volunteers describe Zeus as friendly and sweet. He enjoys his walks and taking his time to sniff around. Zeus is quite strong on leash, so he'll do best with someone patient and kind who is willing to put some time into training. Zeus is 5 years old, and he weighs 65 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, neutered and tested negative for heartworms; he will be microchipped upon adoption. Please come meet Zeus in run 78; his ID # is 653350.
