Stella is both energetic and cuddly, enjoying active playtime as well as quiet moments snuggled up with her people. Stella is a quiet and gentle dog who gets along very well with other dogs. She currently enjoys playing with her Border Collie foster sister and her Chihuahua foster brother. She also loves going for walks and is becoming more confident and comfortable on a leash each day. Stella would do best in a home with a safe, secure fenced yard, which will give her the space to play and help her feel secure. She would thrive in an active household that can provide regular exercise and opportunities for play. Stella is crate trained, appears to be potty trained, and does well with children. New foster just arrived and she’s already making an impression. #AdoptVienna #likethesausage My daughter named her Vienna after a character from Happy Gilmore 2, but I can’t help thinking about Vienna sausages every time I say it. Vienna is a boxer mix and already weighs about 35 lbs, so she’s likely going to grow into a big, beautiful girl. Right now she’s pretty scared and trying to figure out this whole new world, but she’s being very gentle about it. She’s said to be good with everyone — dogs, cats, and kids — and we’ll start learning more about her personality as she settles in over the next few days. More to come on Miss Vienna soon. Desdemona originally came from a background where she didn't feel safe and did not have enough food. Because of this, she is leery of other animals and finds children frightening. At this time we are recommending she be adopted as an only pet to a home with no young children. Desdemona was potty trained for the past several years, but has regressed a little bit upon losing her stable home and coming back into foster care. We've found she does best if you stand outside with her in the yard until she does her business or walk her on leash. Desi really is a very sweet, loving girl.
