Story
Meet Simon, a Boxer mix, approximately four years old and weighing in at around 56 pounds. Simon was discovered abandoned at a county shelter, where he was sadly malnourished and in dire need of care. Despite his rough start, Simon has shown remarkable resilience and has been steadily putting on much-needed weight over the past few weeks. His journey to recovery has been a testament to his strength and spirit. Simon is the epitome of sweetness, with a heart as big as his muscles. He exudes love and affection towards everyone he meets, both humans and his furry friends alike. His playful nature shines through when he's surrounded by other dogs, making him a favorite among his doggie daycare buddies. Simon has won the hearts of the doggie day care staff with his gentle disposition and loving demeanor. Simon is making excellent strides in his potty training and leash manners. He has shown a willingness to learn and is eager to please, making him a joy to work with. While he may still be mastering the basics, his enthusiasm for learning and his strong bond with his caregivers promise a bright future ahead. With continued guidance and positive reinforcement, Simon is sure to become a well-mannered and obedient companion. With his loving nature and eagerness to learn, Simon has all the makings of a wonderful family pet. He thrives on companionship and would flourish in a home where he receives plenty of love, attention, and opportunities for play. Simon's journey from a neglected stray to a cherished member of a loving family is a testament to the transformative power of kindness and compassion. As he continues to blossom, Simon is sure to bring endless joy and devotion to his forever home. Simon's adoption fee is $275. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Dim! Dim is a 1-and-a-half-year-old, 60 lb, Australian Shepherd/Boxer Mix who is very smart and needs someone preferably with no kids in which he gets all the attention to walk him and spend lots of time with him. He is super smart and knows how to sit, lay down, stay, paw, roll over, and more! He is very good motivated and easily trained as a result. He gets along great with other dogs as long as he eats on his own as he loves his food and can be protective. He does great on a leash and loves walks and also playing fetch. In terms of house training, Dim easily goes to the door or lets you know when he needs to go and loves going outside. He loves balls and tug too!!! He loves to please and he loves to be rewarded for a good job with any type of treat! Some of his favorite things are his kongs (stuffed with peanut butter!), his Nylabones and Himalayan yak cheese chew, and kong tug toy as well as tennis balls. If you're looking for a smart loyal dog to be your companion and best friend and doesn't have to compete with cats and kids he might be your perfect match. Dim is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. His adoption fee is $275.00. WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Heidi - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name is Heidi, full of youthful exuberance for life, innocence and curiosity. Ready to crawl right into your heart (won't take long either!!) and be a part of a family...YOUR family! I am still a youngster yet, a big puppy at heart! I have lots of energy and am quite agile. I could be a great candidate for obedience classes and maybe even some fun ones like agility classes. I'm a smart cookie (i know cuz my foster mom tell me so!) and catch on quickly. At 11 months and around 45lbs, I shouldn't get much bigger at my adult weight. What a perfect size for...everything! Neighborhood strolls, nature hikes(aaaah, all those wonderful tantalizing smells), camping, being a co-pilot for errand runs or trips to the park! You name it, I'm ready to give it a whirl and have a blast too (with whatever it is) just cuz we're doing it together!! And the bestest part is that I'm also small enough that I don't hog the whole couch for my cherished cuddle time!! My foster mom wanted you to know this about me - -she is housebroken -she wants to be a lap dog; -she would fit well with an adult home with older children; -with her high prey drive she should be in a home without small dogs or cats but will do well with her size or larger size breed of dogs; -she is a fast learner and will shine with an owner that will include her in their everyday life adventures; -she is crate trained; -she follows basic commands and walks well on leash; -she thrives on daily walks; -she’s a family dog and will make a fabulous family member; -she loves walks, hikes, exploring, tug of war and games using her nose and sparking her intelligence; -she’s quite agile and shows ability in figuring out how to jump over or crawl under set obstacles. She is happy, fun loving and eager to bring joy to her forever home! As my short sleek coat is low maintenance in the grooming department, making me more of a wash-n-to type of gal. And you do know what that means don't you?!! Oh yep yep, lots of extra time in the 'spoil me rotten' department. And you know that's what it's all about!! ;) Big on personality, smart and inquisitive, affectionate and sweet, my oh my I have a boatload of great traits going on, oh and don't forget my stunning good looks, to make me a great family addition, I just need the family...could it be YOUR family?
