This is Rocco, a 5-year-old good boy who deserves more time and attention than I’m currently able to give due to a very busy schedule. This decision comes from love — he deserves daily walks, consistency, and affection. Rocco is: Potty trained and crate trained Knows his basic commands Great with kids and cats Selective with other dogs, he can like other dogs but is picky, so slow introductions are best He is affectionate, smart, and truly a big sweet baby. He bonds closely with his person and loves being part of the family. Rocco is up to date on his rabies vaccine but will need his other shots updated. I’ve had him for 3 years after taking him in from a coworker who was going to surrender him due to a move. I’m looking for a loving, stable home where he can get the time and care he deserves. This is not an easy decision, and finding the right home is very important to me. Please reach out if you think you might be a good fit or have questions.

Hi there!!!! The name`s Ace! I`m a spry, happy-go-lucky 1-year-old with LOADS of energy. My dream is to be a track star and win the gold medal- I`ve got big dreams! But, realistically, I would also love being a running buddy for my future humans. After a good run, I would love to play tug of war with my favorite toys, and maybe a bit of fetch too. Then we can do a training session. And THEN we can go on a hike- okay, am I exhausting you? Sorry, I`m just SO excited to make friends and do so many fun activities with you! When I do eventually exhaust all my energy, I do love curling up in my comfy bed and getting pets from my humans. I love treats too, especially peanut butter!I have lived with kids and done well. I have not lived with cats or other dogs. I like to play in group play with my other friends here at the SPCA Cincinnati. I am housebroken and can hold my potty for 8-12 hours at the maximum. I know some basic commands such as `sit` and `stay`, but I can be a stubborn and energetic guy, so sometimes I won`t always listen! Keeping up with my basic training and refreshing my skills after my stay in a shelter are a necessity. Want to meet me and find out if our lifestyles are a perfect match? Rudy is a super sweet boxer mix! He loves bones, to run and play, and will be your best friend. He loves playing with other dogs so would do well with at least one other dog in the house. He has been trained with a dog trainer, he listens really well, and responds well to his e collar. He turned a year old on December 18, 2025. He is about 60 pounds, but shouldn't grow much more. He would do well in a home with a fenced in yard or someone who can walk him everyday. He also loves going to doggie daycare. He is still young and has a lot of energy, but is a lot of fun. He is potty and crate trained. Is great with kids too. He deserves a home that can give him a lot of attention and space to run.

Meet Pagani! She loves kids, other dogs, ALL humans, and is an expert at snuggling! Sometimes while she is sleeping beside you she will start snoring; this little snorty snore is sure to make you smile.  Pagani currently lives in a foster home with cats; they are assertive and put her in her place, she may do best with that kind of cat. She loves to go on car rides and does well out in public, because she  just loves people.  All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. Stella is awesome. She is a rescue from a former coworker. Stella is a feelings dog. She feels your energy and will try to meet you there. She is patient caring and loves human contact. She is not a fighting dog or has ever been introduced to that world. She thinks of herself as a small dog and it cracks us up. She is tame mild mannered but can play just like a pup. She's pure bread with papers and is fixed and chipped. Looking for a gd home- preferably retired military looking for a companion. Or a family who would love on her not abuse her. She's too good for that.
