COURTESY POST * This animal is not physically in LTR care, they continue to live with the owner. * The adoption/application process is the same for these dogs as any other dog in our rescue. * LTR has not evaluated this pet. * All personality information is provided by the owner and is assumed to be honest and accurate. * The adoption fee/donation for helping rehome the pet is the same as LTR establishes fees. Remy is a female Boxer mix who is under a year old. The kind family who has her took Remy in over 4 months ago to help someone out. Their apartment complex was changing their pet policies. The plan was they would keep her until her family found a new home that they could bring her to. After the first month they no longer were in contact and eventually changed their phone number and were never heard from again. She is crate and house trained. She likes her chew toys, to play ball and run. She is great with kids and other dogs, unsure with cats. She is very smart and loves attention. She is need of her forever home. We hope that will be you! Her adoption fee is $250

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet our sweet boy Sherman. He is a gentle soul that enjoys being around his people. Sherman likes to play for a short time. He would do best in a home with an older dog that is as relaxed as him. He does pick the dogs he is most comfortable around and he definitely wouldn't enjoy an energetic puppy. If you are interested in meeting Sherman, the first step is to go to our website www.adoggie4you.org and complete an application for him.  This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cin c innati, Lexington KY,     or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225   . We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 26, 2024, 4:19 pm

Story
Hi there, I'm Precious. They say that I am called this because I am the most precious dog here at God's Dogs Rescue. I came to the rescue in October of 2022 to have a safe place for me to have and raise my puppies. All my puppies were adopted by the end of January 2023, but I am still here looking for my furever home. I am a bigger girl, but this just means there is more of me to cuddle you, because I love cuddling it's one of my top 3 favorite things. 1) Food- I love food and will do almost anything you ask if you have a treat involved. 2) Cuddles- on your lap, on the couch, in the bed wherever there is a comfy space with pillows or a human I want to be there. 3) Kisses- I have a love of giving kisses to people, especially kids. Although not everyone likes it when I try to kiss them and that makes me sad. 4) Honorable mention- I like going on walks or in the car for a ride, although I prefer just lazing around at home. My current fosters say that I am a "house hippo with springs in my feet whatever that means; I just know sometimes, when I get super happy, I feel like I could fly- or jump really high. I love their kids and am very good with them even the tiny ones. I get along with most other dogs I meet, although I have a big personality about me, because I'm a boss, so sometimes other dogs don't like that about me. I tolerate cats although if they give me too much attitude or growl at me, I can't help but to give them piece of my mind. I like most new people I meet although I had a rough start in life so sometimes, I can be a little wary with men, with time though I adjust, and we can become best friends forever. A few more little details about me: I am almost 3 years old I am a Boxer/Shepherd mix I am great with kids I am good with Cats and Dogs I am crate-trained I am housebroken I can be adopted in Texas or anywhere in the US too! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
Say howdy to Miss Tammy-Francis. You can also call her "Baby", but just like the movie, nobody puts "Baby," in the corner. We mean this literally, because she won't stay there. This scrappy country girl is all energy. She is about 8 months old, and is 36lbs. We think she should stay under 40lbs and is likely a Pit mix. This tenacious young thing was scooped up from a warehouse parking lot with the allure of a cheese rangoon. Obviously she is a fan of Chinese cuisine, but since then we have been giving her a balanced diet fit for the active pup she is. It's likely she isn't as happy with her meal plan as we thought she would be, since she has attempted to steal food off the counter. If you have ever personally tasted dog food you can't really blame her for trying. On the positive side of that drive and motivation comes her desire and eagerness to learn and get a treat. So far she has mastered sit and turn around, and down. We are working on come, leave it, and give, since those will be very useful when she tries to run off with your whole turkey on Thanksgiving day. She has been minimally reactive to all my little dogs and kids. She has some confidence building opportunities when it comes to bigger active dogs and meeting new people. She may bark and retreat a bit, but she warms up quickly and will always benefit from being socialized as much as she can. She is doing excellent with her potty training, I know I can't pee on command, but she is showing my toddlers it can be done! She loves walks, but would prefer to drag anyone at full speed if that's your thing. Little girl also is a fan of toys of all varieties, but really loves squeaky and crinkly the best. She will fetch and bring it back if you have something more interesting for her than what she retrieved. We are also working on her crate training. She hates it at first but she calms down after about 15 minutes and will get better and better as she grows up. All kidding aside, she is going to be an amazing best friend for someone. She is smart, sassy, affectionate and quite the looker. If only she could cook and not try and eat it all herself she would be perfect! I have no idea how she is with cats, but she did try and devour one of our kids cat stuffed animals. They were mortified, but we all bounced back and have decided to not relive the trauma. I would advise treading with caution, since we aren't sure if she would be okay with them. If you are looking for motivation to stay up and moving all day long, she will ensure you finally commit to that active lifestyle. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Hello! My name is Roxy. I am a 7-8 year old Pit Bull who is about 60-70lbs. I was rescued from the floods of Houston many years ago. Sadly, I was trapped and my leg was damaged beyond repair and had to be amputated. I have been living on 3 legs most of my life and it sure does not slow me down! Roxy needs to find a home where she is the only animal in the home. She sadly does not get along with the small dog in her current home. She has not lived with children, but does well with visiting children. She is house trained and crate trained. She knows lots of commands. She always brings a smile to her families face as she is the first to greet you when you come home. She loves to sit like a Meerkat for balance. She is a GREAT snuggler but not pushy about it.
