Story
Violet, who knows the name Hela, is an adult Boxer mix who weighs about 40 lbs. She is good with older kids but should not be in a home with cats or other small animals. Violet is dog selective and does resource guard her food, so her ideal home is likely one where she is the only pet – but that is not set in stone. She is house broken and crate trained. While Violet is a total sweetheart, she is wary to receiving pets/hugs – some days she loves them and other days she would prefer to be left unbothered ( a total introvert in dog form!).November 4, 2024, 10:45 pm

Story
Hi! My name is Twiggy and I’m so excited that you’re reading my bio! I am a senior and I weigh fifty five pounds. I am a beagle boxer mix and I am the sweetest! I love to relax, it’s really my favorite thing to do and I’m super great at it. I spend a lot of time laying in my favorite chair. I am very low energy and I don’t really play. I do love walks when it’s not too hot. I also really like to go outside and check out the yard. I am housebroken and crate trained and I’m also really quiet. I like other dogs that are friendly and I don’t care about cats at all. November 4, 2024, 10:45 pm

Story
Meet Brewster (who responds to Ronin) – a 55 lb Boxer mix with a heart of gold and just enough bounce to keep things interesting. He may have some of that classic Boxer look and he will greet you with an excited jump (he’s so happy when his person comes home!), but overall, Brewster is a calm and easygoing gentleman. His energy level hovers between low and medium, usually matching the vibe of his home. This makes him a great fit for families with children—he’s mostly indifferent to kids until gently encouraged to play, and then he’ll join in with good-natured fun. The only behavioral quirk his foster mom has noted is the happy jumping and occasional surprise kisses when he catches you at eye level. It’s all part of his affectionate charm. Brewster is fixed, up-to-date on vaccines and medications, house-trained, and while he canbe crated for short periods, he does much better with a comfy bed or couch and a few chew toys. When his foster mom leaves, he may whine a bit at first but quickly settles—and his joy when she returns is always heartwarming. He’s been great with the resident cats and loves playing tag along the fence with the neighbor dogs. Brewster is very friendly with new dog friends, though he does show some herding tendencies. Since he can be a little intense at first (he’s a “velcro dog” with both people and pups), he’ll benefit from slow introductions and a little supervision when meeting new canine companions. To top it all off, Brewster is a smart cookie. He knows all his basic commands and is eager to learn more—training sessions are fun and rewarding for him. If you would like to meet this special boy, an application can be filled out at adoptastray.com.  June 30, 2025, 10:30 pm

Story
Meet Mopup( aka Laney ) Currently in boarding and in need of a foster through SAAP Contact: www.adoptastray.com This sweetheart’s name is Laney (originally "Mopup" from SAAP), and she’s a 5-year-old Boxer with a heart as big as her paws. Weighing in at a sturdy 95 pounds, Laney is a gentle, loving companion who’s been cherished for the past 3 years by someone who, heartbreakingly, can no longer care for her due to health issues. Now, Laney is looking for a new person to love—someone who sees the magic in a slightly goofy grin and a tail that wags with full-body enthusiasm. Laney’s got some fabulous qualities: &#226&#156&#168 Great with kids—she’s patient and sweet with the little ones. &#226&#156&#168 LOVES cats (yes, really!). &#226&#156&#168 Housebroken and crate trained like a pro. &#226&#156&#168 Spayed and healthy, with no known medical issues. She does best as the only dog or with a calm male dog—she’s not a fan of other females, and she’s a little wary of men at first, but with patience and treats, she warms up just fine. She’s currently on Pedigree and isn’t on any medications.  Laney isn’t a dog you’ll forget. She’s expressive, loyal, and the kind of dog who’ll follow you from room to room just to keep you company. She needs someone who can handle her size and strength, but more than that—someone who will love her fiercely, just like she’ll love them. Could that someone be you? Fill out an adoption application or inquire at: www.adoptastray.com &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Reposts and shares are so appreciated!  July 1, 2025, 11:52 am

Joy is an energetic good girl who loves to play and snuggle and get all the attention. She’s looking for a home with people to play with. She loves having a fenced yard to run around in. She’s very athletic. She’s about 5 and a half years old. She loves her soft stuffed toys and prefers those. She’s never lived with another dog, but has been great with dogs smaller than her at the dog park. She’s not good with cats. She hasn’t lived with children but has been great with family members all 6 or older.
