We look forward to hearing from you. Clementine was returned to the rescue because her mom fell sick and passed away. She was the only dog at her house but wasn’t sure what to think about multiple dogs. At the time her foster mom had 2 puppies in a pen. Clementine felt safe with them and learned she was safe. The puppies showed her the way. Clementine learned how to go out the dog door and to play. From there she has grown in confidence.. she now likes to come up and ask for kisses and hugs. Clementine loves to play with the big dogs now but still not sure when you chase after her. She is your alarm system she likes to let you know someone is outside. She is not sure of strangers coming in but once she feels comfortable with them she comes up to see them and smell them… she is a sweet girl and would love to have her forever home.

Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally. **Please read Rhett Royal's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Oh, he just can't wait to be King! Meet Rhett Royal, an 8-week-old Boxer mix, weighing 10 pounds (as of 1/20/26)! This stately gentleman hails from the Royal litter that was surrendered by their owners in Tennessee. But like every rags to riches story, Rhett knows greater things are on the horizon once he finds his future kingdom! Rhett is a ruler who's not only kind but generous. When he's not giving kisses to your babies, or spending time outside the castle walls with other dogs, he'll pay you fairly for all your hard work in taking care of him. Sure, the payment is just in cuddles, but he can't give away all his riches! This playful prince is friendly and fun-loving and might even pull at your shoelaces to get your attention. So be ready to cater to his every whim and request if you don't want to end up in the dungeon! Like his siblings, Rhett is still undergoing prince training (potty, commands, leash work) to prepare for his rightful place on the throne. So luckily you have time to get in his good graces! How kind of him! Get ready for the royal treatment with Rhett Royal! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally. **Please read Theo Valentine's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Roses are red, violets are blue, will you take Theo home with you? Meet Theo Valentine, a 10-week-old Boxer/Weimaraner mix who's also Greyhound, Terrier, Lab, and Basenji! Basically he's the Perfect American Mutt! This casanova weighs 9 pounds (as of 2/2/26) and hails from the VALENTINE litter. His siblings were given away at a Walmart parking lot in Tennessee just before Christmas. Theo is the kind of boy that will charm anyone with his infectious puppy energy. When he's not running around with his siblings or playing with his toys, you can find him writing sonnets like a modern day Shakespeare! This boy loves to love and you can bet he'll give you all the kisses and snuggles while you watch yet another Hallmark movie with Lacey Chabert. Theo doesn't mind one bit. In fact, hand him the popcorn 'cause he's invested! Theo gets along great with dogs, cats and children and is the perfect Valentine's date for when the person your mother recommended just doesn't measure up. He would be great with an active person or family as he has a lot of energy, but if you're as adventurous as he is, it's a match-made in heaven! Theo is still a baby so he'll need some patience from his fur-ever family when it comes to puppy training (potty, leashes, etc), but he's great with crates! Though honestly, you'll probably sleep better having him by your side anyway. In terms of medical history, Theo used to have ringworm, but we're happy to report that he is cured now and healthy! Bring this lover boy home today and you'll never have a lonely Valentine's Day! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption.
