Story
Meet Millie! At just about 6 months old and only 20 pounds, Millie is the perfect petite pup and we don`t expect her to get much bigger!Millie`s journey hasn`t been an easy one. She came to us from Georgia after being rescued from a heartbreaking situation where she was underfed and neglected. Even after everything she`s been through, Millie continues to show just how resilient and forgiving dogs can be.While she`s understandably a little shy when meeting new people, every day she grows a little braver. She`s learned to trust her favorite people at the shelter and has even let them introduce her to volunteers, opening up more and more with each new experience. Watching her confidence bloom has been incredibly rewarding. One thing that has never wavered is Millie`s love for other dogs! She enjoys canine companionship and would thrive in a home with another friendly dog, whether they`re big or small.Millie has already overcome so much in her young life. Now she`s ready for the happy ending she deserves—a patient, loving family who will continue to show her that the world can be a kind place. In return, she`ll reward you with quiet loyalty, a gentle heart, and the joy of watching a once-neglected puppy truly come into her own. If Millie sounds like a good addition to your family, apply today!

Story
I adopted Hachi at a shelter when he was just a puppy. Hachi is now 3 (turning 4 in November). Hachi is a very energetic pup! He is always ready to play a game of tug or even fetching. He would do well in a home that has space for outdoor play. Inside the house, he is definitely a couch potato. He loves to have his own space, we currently have a kennel for him (he likes sleeping here) but he also enjoys a window spot on the couch. Hachi is very well behaved at home, he will not touch furniture unless told it’s okay. He’s a very intelligent pup and learns house rules quickly. Hachi would also benefit from an owner who has experience with dogs to continue his training. Hachi is potty trained and knows many of the basic commands but would benefits from continuing his reactivity training. He gets along well with older kids and people in general but needs reactivity training to be around other animals. Hachi is a sweet dog, he loves scratches, cuddles or really any type of affection.

Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: Yes, dog-savvy catsGood with kids: Older children only (13+)Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesZaria is an affectionate, and loyal girl with a real zest for life. She is a medium energy dog who enjoys a play session, followed by a nap. She benefits from slow introductions to other dogs. She would also be fine as an only dog. Zaria happily entertains herself with toys or a romp in the backyard. She has lived with cats and has for the most part ignored their presence. Zaria loves her people and enjoys making new human friends. She can be an enthusiastic greeter and sometimes forgets her size, so older dog-savvy children would be best for her. Zaria enjoys going for walks around the neighborhood and looks to her humans for reassurance and guidance in new situations. Zaria is an intelligent girl and very eager to please. She knows a plethora of commands, and loves to learn new things every day. She is fully house trained and crate trained. Zaria enjoys relaxing in her crate throughout the day and sleeps soundly in it overnight. She is looking for an experienced and patient adopter who will continue to provide her with structure and routine so she can continue to be her best self. Are you the lucky family who gets to add Zaria to your bunch?*Zaria is part of our Foster to Adopt (FTA) program for prescription food.*Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. Story
Meet Lacy, our 2.5-year-old 50 lb rescue! She is an incredibly loving, loyal, and calm companion who just wants to be by your side. She loves snuggling up on the couch or in bed. Lacy is wonderfully behaved at home, fantastic on walks (non-reactive to people or other dogs), and has a blast playing at doggy daycare! As much as we adore her, we are expecting a baby and must make the heartbreaking decision to rehome her. Lacy bonds strongly and exhibits guarding behavior around me, especially when visitors arrive. She did have a bite incident in May 2025. Since then, we've invested in extensive training and tried medication, resulting in zero incidents since! Because she still shows protective tendencies, we and our trainer agree it isn't safe to keep her with a newborn. Lacy will absolutely thrive in a calm home without small children or frequent visitors, where she can be your snuggly best friend.

Story
Meet Ruby & Indigo – the sweetest little survivors looking for their forever home Ruby & Indigo are a stunning pair of brindle Boxer mix puppies who were saved just minutes before euthanasia at a shelter in Tennessee. Their story could have ended far too soon, but these two resilient babies are proof that hope can bloom in the last moments. At approximately 3 months old and around 6 lbs each, Indigo and Ruby are everything you’d want in growing pups: bright‑eyed, affectionate, playful, and endlessly charming. Ruby is a gentle, sweet girl with a soft spirit, while Indigo is a beautiful boy with a curious, loving nature. They adore people, love to snuggle, and are quickly learning that the world can be a safe and happy place. Both pups have received their age‑appropriate puppy vaccinations. They will need to be spayed/neutered when they reach the appropriate age. Indigo and Ruby are currently located in Tennessee, and transport is available to your area. If you’re ready to give one—or both—of these incredible pups the life they deserve, please reach out to Julie: 📞 919‑624‑0059 📧 julie@arcadiarescue.org These two have already beaten the odds. Now they just need someone to love them for the rest of their lives.
