Story
Meet Dennis Dennis is a 58-lb white-and-tan gentleman with excellent manners and an even better heart. This easygoing guy knows how to give paw, but his real specialty is gentle hugs for his favorite people.  Dennis is very people-friendly, dog-friendly, and has been fostered with other pups like a total pro. He walks nicely on leash, keeps his kennel accident-free, and treats beds and blankets with the respect they deserve (no shredding here!). If you’re looking for a handsome, affectionate companion who’s equal parts polite and lovable, Dennis is ready to shake on it—and maybe give you a hug too. 58 lbs + estimated 2-3 y/o dog friendly, loves his foster siblings  crate and potty trained in foster  completed HW treatment + fully vetted available for adoption in Feb with pick up in Amesbury Application link in bio fill out a general app and note Dennis! *Please note: We're an all-volunteer organization, and incomplete applications cannot be processed.* If you're interested in adopting a GBP rescue PAL, please submit an application through the link below. Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: Yes, dog savvy catsGood with kids: Older children only (13+)Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesZaria is an affectionate, and loyal girl with a real zest for life. She is a medium energy dog who enjoys a play session, followed by a nap. She benefits from slow introductions to other dogs. She would also be fine as an only dog. Zaria happily entertains herself with toys or a romp in the backyard. She has lived with cats and has for the most part ignored their presence. Zaria loves her people and enjoys making new human friends. She can be an enthusiastic greeter and sometimes forgets her size, so older dog-savvy children would be best for her. Zaria enjoys going for walks around the neighborhood and looks to her humans for reassurance and guidance in new situations. Zaria is an intelligent girl and very eager to please. She knows a plethora of commands, and loves to learn new things every day. She is fully house trained and crate trained. Zaria enjoys relaxing in her crate throughout the day and sleeps soundly in it overnight. She is looking for an experienced and patient adopter who will continue to provide her with structure and routine so she can continue to be her best self. Are you the lucky family who gets to add Zaria to your bunch? Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org.May 15, 2025, 1:42 am

Story
Adopted from SPCA in 2022 as a newborn puppy. Ben is sweet, smart and playful couch potato. DNA test showed primarily Chihuahua, but boy was that wrong! He grew from 5 lbs to 55lbs quickly! He was a wonderful puppy with a little anxiety. He learned quickly to play with other dogs and enjoyed time with our kids, but remained skeptical of others. Ben trained well and proved to be very smart and playful with the whole household. We moved from the suburbs to the city and Ben’s anxiety in the new location is showing up regularly. He is protective of us and reactive to others until he can greet under control. With two very active young kids in a new neighborhood, we have too much going on to allow him to get the attention he needs to calm down in this urban environment. Would love to find him a home in a calmer environment so that Ben can thrive again.
