Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: Yes, dog savvy catsGood with kids: Older children only (13+)Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesZaria is an affectionate, and loyal girl with a real zest for life. She is a medium energy dog who enjoys a play session, followed by a nap. She benefits from slow introductions to other dogs. She would also be fine as an only dog. Zaria happily entertains herself with toys or a romp in the backyard. She has lived with cats and has for the most part ignored their presence. Zaria loves her people and enjoys making new human friends. She can be an enthusiastic greeter and sometimes forgets her size, so older dog-savvy children would be best for her. Zaria enjoys going for walks around the neighborhood and looks to her humans for reassurance and guidance in new situations. Zaria is an intelligent girl and very eager to please. She knows a plethora of commands, and loves to learn new things every day. She is fully house trained and crate trained. Zaria enjoys relaxing in her crate throughout the day and sleeps soundly in it overnight. She is looking for an experienced and patient adopter who will continue to provide her with structure and routine so she can continue to be her best self. Are you the lucky family who gets to add Zaria to your bunch? Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. He is a lovable, affectionate boy with a huge personality and an even bigger heart! This medium-energy pup has bursts of playful energy mixed with plenty of couch snuggle time. Hotch would do well in an active home to take him on fun walks and provide him with a lot of love.Hotch is very sociable and gets along wonderfully with other dogs of all ages and sizes. He would do well with or without a canine sibling. Hotch was curious about the cats in his foster home and would do fine with dog-savvy cats who don't mind a friendly sniff. He has done well with children ages 1 to 9 who are used to dogs, though he greets bigger and smaller humans alike, so he'd do best with dog-savvy kids. Hotch enjoys playing with stuffed toys and loves his walks around the neighborhood! This smart boy is eager to please! He is fully crate trained (sometimes just needing a little coaxing with a treat) and house trained. Hotch is crated during the day and overnight without any issues. He transitioned easily to potty training and has had zero accidents since coming north. Hotch is excellent on leash. If you're looking for an adventure buddy by day and snuggle buddy at night, then this goofy, lovable boy is for you! Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. Ive found myself without a place to live for going on 5 months. Family was caring rmy dog in hopes I could get back on my feet. Theyre unable to keep him. Hes going to be 6 in June. Hes a boxer husky and is mostly a good boy. He suffers with separation anxiety and is a bit whiney. I have called all the local non kill shelters and no one has space for him. Id keep him in the car with me but is really no life for a dog. If u or anyone you know is interested in Jax please let me know

He was found as a stray. In his foster home, he is doing great with house training, crate training, and leash walking. He could join households with kids 5+, and other playful dogs. No cats, please! His foster says, `Hi! My name is Roo because when I run I look like a kangaroo! Roo is a 1-year-old sweetheart with the cutest underbite you’ve ever seen and a personality to match. He’s good with other dogs (but no cats, please!) and has the best balance of energy. He loves all toys and is always happy to play, whether it’s tossing one around on his own or engaging in a game with you. When playtime is over, he’s just as content relaxing nearby and enjoying the calm. He would thrive in a home where he can be part of daily life — lounging nearby, going for walks, and soaking up affection. He’s the perfect mix of loyal companion and laid-back couch buddy. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally. **Please read Rhett Royal's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Oh, he just can't wait to be King! Meet Rhett Royal, an 8-week-old Boxer mix, weighing 10 pounds (as of 1/20/26)! This stately gentleman hails from the Royal litter that was surrendered by their owners in Tennessee. But like every rags to riches story, Rhett knows greater things are on the horizon once he finds his future kingdom! Rhett is a ruler who's not only kind but generous. When he's not giving kisses to your babies, or spending time outside the castle walls with other dogs, he'll pay you fairly for all your hard work in taking care of him. Sure, the payment is just in cuddles, but he can't give away all his riches! This playful prince is friendly and fun-loving and might even pull at your shoelaces to get your attention. So be ready to cater to his every whim and request if you don't want to end up in the dungeon! Like his siblings, Rhett is still undergoing prince training (potty, commands, leash work) to prepare for his rightful place on the throne. So luckily you have time to get in his good graces! How kind of him! Get ready for the royal treatment with Rhett Royal! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. To adopt or learn more about Rhett Royal, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $575] ** PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works. Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.

Story
Hendrix is very well trained by me. He very playful when petted and very protective when comfortable with you. Haven't had the time to care for him due to work and not living with him. He’s like a baby, especially when he sees other dogs, he wants to interact and play. Cooperates and listens to commands with treats as all dogs would. I’ve had him since he was a puppy. He also has areas where fur is missing due to allergies.
