Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: Yes, dog savvy catsGood with kids: Older children only (13+)Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesZaria is an affectionate, and loyal girl with a real zest for life. She is a medium energy dog who enjoys a play session, followed by a nap. She benefits from slow introductions to other dogs. She would also be fine as an only dog. Zaria happily entertains herself with toys or a romp in the backyard. She has lived with cats and has for the most part ignored their presence. Zaria loves her people and enjoys making new human friends. She can be an enthusiastic greeter and sometimes forgets her size, so older dog-savvy children would be best for her. Zaria enjoys going for walks around the neighborhood and looks to her humans for reassurance and guidance in new situations. Zaria is an intelligent girl and very eager to please. She knows a plethora of commands, and loves to learn new things every day. She is fully house trained and crate trained. Zaria enjoys relaxing in her crate throughout the day and sleeps soundly in it overnight. She is looking for an experienced and patient adopter who will continue to provide her with structure and routine so she can continue to be her best self. Are you the lucky family who gets to add Zaria to your bunch? Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org.May 15, 2025, 1:42 am

Story
Ashanti is 2yrs old. Birthday August 11th. She is up to date on everything. Microchipped. Loves to cuddle, nap, fuzzy animals and blankets. She loves to run around the boarder of a yard like she is racing. At a dog park she has to greet every dog that comes in. Well behaved with other animals and kids. Skiddish around men but warms up after a while. Does have anxiety when in a crowded area but has gotten a lot better. If I start having a panic attack she will put her head on me and snuggle to calm me down. She does like to sleep in the bed but can get trained to not. She does have a crate and knows how to use it but I normally do not put her in it.

Story
Who doesn’t love a big, goofy puppy?! He’s got big paws, a big personality and an even bigger heart.  Meet Dexter, he’s a record breaking 48 lbs while estimated at being only 5 months old.  This boy is a large breed dog lovers dream. He’s working on all the puppy basics and having fun doing so! Dexter was discovered at a public park in a crate with a bag of food next to him. A very kind family took him home and soon found out no one was looking for Dexter because he was purposely abandoned by a heartless individual.  He’s forgiven humans despite what was done to him and you’d never guess he was once unloved. We see a BIG & BRIGHT future ahead for this guy.
