Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper, slow introductionsGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Older children only (16+)Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesIf you’re looking for the ultimate companion, Jaxtyn checks all of the boxes: he’s extremely smart, attentive, dedicated, and eager to make his humans happy. (Plus, he’s extra, extra handsome if we do so say so ourselves!)Jaxtyn absolutely loves affection and thrives on the connection he makes with his humans. While he does prefer a slower introduction when meeting new people, he quickly becomes comfortable and loves to show off his impressive manners. Jax gets along well with other dogs after proper introductions (he can still be wary of new friends he meets on the street), and while he would enjoy a dog sibling to nap and play with, he would be just as happy as an only dog where he can be the center of attention.Jaxtyn has been working diligently on his training with his foster dad and has an impressive skillset that includes focus and release commands, expert-level leash-walking skills, and all of his basic commands like ‘sit’, ‘down’, and ‘wait’. Jaxtyn is fully house and crate-trained and thrives with structure and routine. Jaxtyn is currently working to gain more confidence on walks around things like bikes, scooters, or busy sidewalks and he’s making stellar progress. Jaxtyn would do great in a home in the city as he’s shown he can be comfortable in an urban setting or would love a more low-key house in the suburbs with a yard to romp and roam in. Bonus - he’s great in the car so he’d be thrilled to be your adventure buddy! Jaxtyn is an amazing boy who’s ready to find - and unconditionally love - his family! July 26, 2024, 1:55 am

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: UnknownGood with kids: YesCrate trained: NoHouse Trained: YesDaisy is a sweet, wonderful, and loving pup, on the lookout for her forever home! Calm and well-mannered, Daisy loves nothing more than relaxing in a safe, comfortable space, with her humans by her side. A perfect house guest, Daisy prefers to be outside of the crate, and proves her manners each time she is left at home. While Daisy has been around all types of humans, she seems to need a bit more time adjusting to the men in the house, and does best with slow, low to the ground introductions, at her pace. She has met kids of all ages, and would prefer to be around dog-savvy kids that know when to give her space. With proper patient intros, Daisy will befriend any respectful four-legged friend, and would love a dog to look up to, who can teach her that life isn’t as scary as it seems! Daisy loves being inside of the car on a ride, but  would prefer to walk on a quieter street, as being outside of the car isn’t her favorite! Secure, monitored areas are best for this girl. Sleeping through the night, and loving a good nap wherever her humans are, Daisy is ready to be your shadow! If your patient, loving home seems like the right fit for a sweet, hopeful girl, Daisy just might be the pup for you! Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Unknown, likely yesGood with kids: YesCrate trained: Yes (Pup settles quickly and quietly, accident free when crated)House Trained: "Working on it (Still having accidents, but progress is noticeable)"As gorgeous as she is gregarious, Vida is a brindle Boxer Mix ready to spread love in her new home. Whether she is curling up with her people or playing, she is a ton of fun.Vida should thrive in any home ready for the twists and turns of a puppy. She is very dog friendly and wants to meet every dog she encounters. Because she approaches quietly and confidently, Vida would likely do great in any dog park or dog-friendly restaurant. Her exposure to kids has been limited but successful; she has not met any cats.Valencio sleeps in her crate all night with no accidents. While she might take a few minutes to settle during the day, she eventually does. Her house training will need continued focus, but consistency with a schedule will accelerate her to the finish line. She walks well on the leash without any pulling, but she is still learning to walk in straight lines.Valencio cannot wait to meet her forever family! Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Unknown, likely noGood with kids: Yes, dog savvy childrenCrate trained: Mostly (May protest at first but then settles and is mostly accident free)House Trained: Mostly (1-2 accidents/week; just needs time and consistency)The perfect mix of active and chill, Ralph is an outgoing boy who is just as happy romping with other dogs as he is trying to be your oversized lap dog!An optimal home for Ralph will be one that will provide a loving, nurturing environment for him to grow and thrive. While he does great with other dogs, he does have some resource guarding tendencies with his bones and toys, but there is no aggression. He loves playing with kids, but his size and mouthiness might make him a better fit for older, dog-savvy children. Cats are likely not a great idea as he will chase chickens. In terms of the crate, Ralph will whine at first but settles down quickly. A chew toy always helps to appease him and rectify any boredom. House training will need to be addressed as he has done some marking indoors; focus, routine, and, perhaps, a belly band will help him get acclimated in his forever home. He walks well on the leash, aside from some pulling that can be solved with a harness. Ralph does have the ability to climb a fence and should be watched in a yard.Who is ready to welcome Ralph into their hearts and their home? Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. Story
I’ve had Hazel for 5 years, and she is about 6-7 years old. When I adopted her from a shelter in Alabama with my (now ex) husband, she was emaciated and withdrawn. With lots of love and food, she is now a healthy and happy girl! I am rehoming her because I left my ex husband and moved to a tiny studio apartment with Hazel and my other dog, Coal. My apartment is just too small for Hazel, and I know she would be happier in a bigger home with a yard ideally. She has a lot of energy and needs a home with someone who is willing to play with her regularly. She loves going on walks/runs, fetch, and tug of war. She does bark when it is time to go for a walk and when she thinks you are leaving, but if you give her a treat to chew on, she will stop barking. She is sometimes good with other dogs and sometimes she can be reactive to them (especially other females), so I would prefer a home with no other dogs. She has never been around a cat, so I’m not sure with cats. She loves children.

Story
BENNY---- He’s never had his own family. He didn’t have pawrents to celebrate his first birthday with.He doesn’t even have his name on his ID tag. Just the rescue’s phone number like the rest of our fosters.  But a year is a long time to spend in foster care and Benny is ready to find somewhere he gets to stay for good. He started out as a timid puppy at a kill shelter in Texas last June. He is now a goofy, awkward & incredibly handsome one year old that loves hard. Scared dogs and adoption events go together like oil and water- they just don’t mesh. We let Benny skip out on most of our events because it’s simply not where he wants to be. Because of this, he has waited an extra long time to find his people. Benny has been to a few different foster homes for vacation coverage and each home loves him more than the last.  An ideal life for Benny would be with someone that doesn’t care if he’d rather stay home than come with you to a brewery. He loves going for walks but also loves laying by your feet just as much. He has done very well with routine and structure! He would do great with confidence building activities like agility or relationship based training.
